Hello everybody!  Long-time grower and activist, former MMJ dispensary owner.  I've been growing indoors and outdoors since I was 15... in my 30s now.  I have definitely done my part to legalize cannabis here in Colorado but got burned-out by the greedy politicians trying to make money off medicine.  Now it's legal for recreational use and I don't mind the taxes on this as much as I did having to tax the sick and disabled.  I've been off the radar for a couple years now... this summer I will be growing ........ .. ...... .... .  Looking for some local help with genetics since Greenhouse Seeds won't ship to the U.S.. Interested in auto-flowers but skeptical because they sound too good to be true.  Since I am at about 2200m above sea level I am looking for some Afghani strains so I can harvest before the snows in October.  Would like to connect with other growers in the Pikes Peak area.

Hello friend, welcome to the forum Strain Hunters!

I see that you are a farmer with years of experience, I'm sure many others may help foreros hope to also solve their doubts, and shared among all wisdom.

Yes, unfortunately we can not ship seeds to the U.S., the USA laws are strictest about it. Maybe you get lucky and can find seeds of GH through other means, internet, google, yahoo ... We as a company do not send seeds to the USA.

With that altitude, you may raise very good indica strains. We look forward to their crops!

Greetings! ;)

Welcome on SH forum man!

Pikes peak, what a nice area, with that famous race :) i would to see it in real, must have been awesome in the time of Vatanen and all with the sand part!

As far as growing goes, i hope you will have a happy getting back to it! I dont know if you will find many many growers from your area around here i dont remember anybody talking aboutp ikes peak but well, who knows ;) And for sure the Autos are worth looking into, you need to put a little bit more of them to have nice yeilds, but the final results is clearly worth it, Sweet mango, Kalash Auto are great yeilders as well as the Super crit auto in outdoor, The Auto bomb yeilds less  but what a nice smoke i Love it!!

so i hope you will like the place and if you need anything on the forum dont hesitate to ask the mod team

Have a good discovering of the board ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome Jose and Dust!  Huge fan of Strain Hunters... I had no idea there were cultures around the world that depend on cannabis to survive.  Also, I did not know there was so much wild cannabis growing everywhere (except the U.S.A.).  I plan on changing that!  Hill Climb is rad... I've been 8 times in the past 10 years.  Last year was the first year it was 100% paved... Loeb beat the old record by just under two minutes!  Check out his POV video here, it is NASTY!! I guess I cant post links yet... if you want to see it look at the Red Bull Channel on YouTube or search "Loeb 2013 POV".  You should definitely come out for the race; it is one of a kind.  Plus, cannabis is legal here for recreational use; there are SO many growers it is actually funny.  People you would have NEVER seen growing or even smoking a few years ago now have greenhouses and gardens.  Well, I look forward to spending a lot of time here... TTYS.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
