Let me say that I'm completely new to all of this, I've been reading a lot but I still have a lot to learn so I hope you all can help me out. I started out with 2 white widow fem seeds, I used the cup of water method on 5/15. On the next day they were on the bottom so I moved them to a plastic container with wet paper towel. On 5/17 I believe I put them into two small seedling cups.

I know you all have a lot of questions. All I have for now is a 120 watt cfl. It says 1100 lumens on the container. For the most part since I live in the south I just bring them out in the sun all day until later then I bring them back in and put them under the bulb.

I started feeding a little over a week ago. It was some Miracle-gro all purpose plant food. I only used about 1/3 of the recommended values. I water about every other day, but feed every 5-6 days. ( only fed twice so far ).

I fed them yesterday, and I noticed a bit of yellow on one of the leaves near the bottom and I don't mean the starter leaves. It seems to be just the tip.The other plant is fine. I haven't been testing pH but I just now received a tester. I'm going to set it up then find out the pH of the water I've been using.

My opinion (don't take much consideration because i'm begginer) is that you can lower it a bit to 6. I discovered a few days ago that i was feeding with ph 7.8, since i lowered it to 6 my criticals past from 1cm/day to 2cm/day vegging, so i think they like it. Btw i would like to try to find the right ph for every specific plant, so there is my answer, health mate :)

Thanks for your advice man, I actually ordered some pH down today, so hopefully it should be here by tomorrow. I'm going to try to lower it to 6. I'm not sure what the recommended pH for white widow is.

well it is true that to start the ph is better around 6 then slowly increase up to 6,5 more or less in soil. but dont make a too big gap in one watering, slowly go down for example put 6,5 next time for 2 watering, and then go to 6,2 it is enough for the veg, but you could also stay at 6,5 direclty it is a good average PH if you can not really control it.

for the yellowing of your lower leave it is more or less normal that the 2 first leaves die at some point, if it keep spreading on the older leave then it means she is a little bit hungry, but with the lower PH you shouldnt need to feed more :)

Have a good grow man thanks for the news ;)

Thanks for the new man ;) what you can do one day before watering also is break the surface of your soil with a fork or a wooden pike, just be careful to not break too much roots, it will help the soil to aerate a little bit and you will water more uniformly like this :)

Looking good man! Hope the grow goes the way you want it to. I'm also currently growing with around the same wattage, so im interested to see how your grow ends up!

That bulb is only for at night though. I bring them both outside around noon to sunset. So for the most part its outdoors, but good luck. I'm still learning as well.

Thanks for the advice as always Dust. I'll try this out today and water tomorrow.

checking in before work. So how long do I veg for? I heard something about until its about 1 foot in height, since when I switch to flowering it will double in size. I think its only 22 days old or around there. I'll see how far they get after say 35 days then think about it. Let me know what you guys think.
