how can i control humidity in my grow room?

Hey guys,

I understand humidity is crucial during all stages of grow and I'm looking for a way to control the humidity level in my room.

I've heard about people that use water spayers manually when the room is too dry and hair drayers when too wet - again manually..

I find these methods irrelevant to my future grow rooms (veg and flowering, maybe even drying and curing rooms).

I want a system which I set the desired humidity level and don't have to worry about that anymore..

What do u guys use to control humidity? Anyone uses an automatic system? What is the cost of such system and what about the electric consumption of it?

looking forward to your replies :)

Hi mate,

I tried, test, many ways to increase and decrease the humidity in a home. And also automatically.

My conclusions are that the most effective way is the automatic way.

I bought a humidifier with meter, so when moisture rises to the level that I have scheduled for the only respecting the humidity level I want to have.

It is very important, it is a humidifier with large water tank, mine is 8 liters, so that it holds a whole day without recharging.

To remove moisture, it is best to increase the extraction of air. That brings down much moisture as needed, for example in flowering.

If you have a very high ambient humidity (or live near marp example), it's best to buy a dehumidifier to remove moisture from the room. You can also add automatic, when you reach the level of humidity you want, is for the sole.

For me, in my personal opinion, the machines are the best option. They do all the work, effective.

regards! :)

What are the constants you have in average?

But like said Jose if you have a little bit of money to invest it is worth buying a humifier with the reader integrated :)

I don't know the constant yet.. to be honest, I'm still in the planning stage of y rooms..

I'm a kinnda of guy who like doing things perfectly or not at all so I'm willing to invest my money on reliable equipment , to get perfect results :)

when the building starts I'll upload some pictures of the process and some videos (if u think it's relevant for this forum).

anyway.. I didn't get the humidifier thing .. it blasts the air with water particles when the reader shows the room is too dry , right?

so how do u know it doesn't turn your room too wet? what makes it stop shooting water to the air? can it keep the room at a stable humidity level?

The trick is to build a system of effective air extraction, pull the air that collects, outside the room. You may control moisture, regulating power extractor. High humidity = more power to reduce, low humidity = less power / automatic aid of a humidifier.
