jeffcampagna
Hey Everyone. So, I'm one of those forum posters that regulars generally despise. I'm a journalist working on a possible story about the ol' Panama Red strain. I am currently in Panama, close to the pearl islands where it is reported to still grow. But, alas, I am no scholar when it comes to marijuana history and theory. I was wondering if any of you strain hunters knew of any books/texts/reports/articles that talk at all about Panama Red. I've done the basic Google searches and have found some solid info, but I imagine there are some obscure books out there, written by people who really know their shit, that discuss the history, lore and science of Panama Red. Anyone know how I can learn more? Thanks in advance.

jeffcampagna
Hey Dust! You bet. It was one of the first things i read. Now, I'm looking for some in-depth history on it. Almost an academic perspective. Know what I mean?

turksteelman
I loved the Panama Red from back in the mid 70's. It wasn't around often in the north eastern U.S. but when it was it was an event! Very memorable.
tazz11
you should ask the person that has smoked and has grown it , but they are to old to care any more . and if they did post there are members that will just make fun of them and they will just walk away ...latter
