Adding light to growroom

5 posts in this topic

When I started the current flowering period I was up to 2 x 250W (500w) lights. I have an 600w hps over, and room for it in the middle of the 250 watters.. would adding this in the middle of the flowering boost anything in the budding (that hasn't really started yet) or is it too late to give any important effect on the quality and quantity of the coming harvest?

don't know how late u are or how big ur room is or how many plants, but more light would mean more light to bud sites wider light spread, so could defenetly mean more yeild i belive.

peace

The room is 160x160cm+ 245cm height and I'm two-three weeks in flowering with 8 plants. I think they are about to reach maximum height in the close days. I can with more light spread the plants so they get more room and more light (less shadows). If the temperature should get too high I also have a more powerful ventilation I easily can install.

i would give it a go and take out a 250 first if it got to hot. i am using 2x 600w in a 120x120x200 tent myself furing winter months and girls like it i think :D

Okay, I will do that and add 250 when I see it doesn't get to hot. Otherwise I will add the new ventilationsystem and then add the 250 :) My girls seem to like the light as it is now, hopefully they will explode with happiness ;)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
