why high pH Alkalinity and unbalanced nutrient levels are a BAD combination for the competing iron utilizing processes in vegetation. chlorophyll etc.

To discuss some of the complex nutrient interrelations of LIC and their effect of iron metabolism. also discussed are effects of fractions Ca, K, Mg, P, Fe, Mn.

However we will see that simply pouring on various sulphates and chelates or ferric ammonium citrate really isnt the answer for most of us and avoiding the root causes probably are. ie proper amending, water treatment. nutrient levels and alternative medium treatments etc.
