My first Hydroponic grow

Getting ready to start my first grow, and I wanted your guys opinions on my grow space and see if anybody had any tips for me. I know I'm not going to get a huge yield in this space its mostly for learning.. But the more the merrier. How can I maximize yields in here... I'm starting with 2 autoflowering strains then I will try 2 feminized and then I will try 2 regular to see what comes out best.. I'm using general hydroponics nutes..also I wanted a opinion on using the SCROG method in here

Looking like a nic elil space you have here, very clean congratz well for the future maybe you could check out some nice led panel that could make a better production with your hydro system than the CFL, but for a first time CFL will do it as well, you just wont get the size of buds but the quality should be here

 

SCROG i think is a good option, especially seeing where is your intake of air, Be careful that the plant will most likely put her leaves right in your fan in natural growth ^^ with a nice net between your 2 fans you will optimize your canopy to use it nicely with the CFL

Also I had a question, with DWC can I just put the seed in the Rockwool and just grow it from seed or do you have to germinate then put in DWC with the rocks?

Well i guess you could put it in the cube and in the basket with the rock and just hand water it atentivly during the time necessary. But im not big expert of the hydro grows, have a look around on the DWC journals we have and check how people do and compare It is the best to get an idea on what is coming, is looking a little bit what happened to other people

 

And nice for the leds! Dont forget to make some test before puting the seeds to see how high temperatures and humidity gets, always usefull to leave everything plugged a dayr or two and check

you should germinate your seed in rockwool cubes . the cube should soak in water with a ph of 5.5-5.8 and you should buy a humidity dome and a heat mat and once the roots shooting out of the bottom you can put them i your system . how many gal is your reservoir because with a small reservoir your ph swings will be big
