Kalashnikova & Exodus cheese 1st ever grow (late journal)

Hello everybody! As title says, this is my 1st grow ever and i'm very excited about everything heh :) Since i'm a total noob, i value input from all you guys. Feel free to comment/ask :)

I'm currently in week 3 of flowering, but i have weekly pictures from when i flipped to 12/12.

My setup is as follows...

Tent : DS60 60x60x150cm, passive air intake down below, 140mm pc fan crammed in the top hole for air extraction, circulation fan inside tent. Thermo/Hygrometer also in tent

Light : Blackstar Ufo 135w LED from Lighthouse Hydroponics

Strain : 1x Exodus Cheese 2x Kalashnikova from GHS, both feminized

I'm growing in soil because i thought that was noob friendly hehe. The plants are in 19 liter Smart Pots, and i'm using BioBizz AllMix as medium. I mixed some Vermiculite in the soil too...

Nutrients : BioBizz basic series... Grow, Bloom and Top Max

I think that's about it... if i forgot something, please ask!

Oh, and i apologize in advance for the hysterically poor pictures. Resolution, Steady hand, Quality, Lighting... pretty much anything that constitutes a "good" picture, is lacking from these!

Here's a few pics from the day before i flip to 12/12. The plants are in 11 liter pots at that time, and pictures are from repotting day

Flowering Day 21

The Kalashnikovas are very dense plants! Exodus Cheese is now taller than the others, and seems more stretchy. Although i'm a rookie in all this, i think the girls look healthy and i'm happy so far :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello all, it's been a crazy week with work, therefore this update comes a few days late... My ladies are still looking fine, i think :)  the Kalashnikova in upper left corner seems to be a little ahead of the others with regards to resin production... oh, and the smell is slowly coming along now. When i look down from above, i count around 20 buds in direct light. Fingers crossed for a decent yield... judging from pictures, what would you guys think is attainable?

Enjoy the pics :)

Hi everybody! It's update time, and here's some new pictures. Not much has happened since last week, buds and resin slowly build up... I'm very excited to see how the Blackstar will perform in the last stages of flowering   Will the buds fatten up..? Does anyone have any experience with Blackstar led's?

Back again with some new pictures. No problems to report, all is looking good :) Buds are slowly growing, and it seems like one of the Kalashnikova's is ahead of her sister and the cheese in terms of resin production, smell and flower maturity. Funny, since they were all flipped at the same time... Anywho.. Enjoy the pics :)

Hiya everybody! Here's a very late update...  We are now in flowering day 63, and it seems like there's at least a week or 2 more to go. I'm unsure though since this is my first grow... Inputs appreciated! :)

If any of you guys can judge anything from these pictures, i could use some advice on whether i should flush now, and then dry out and harvest? ... or continue with water/nutrients for a week or longer?

Well it is hardly possible from pictures to say if a girl is read. Let your nose and ingers tell ya..:-) How is he smell ? Are the uds oily or sticky ? Do they still shoot out new hairs and how much of the white hair has turnes yellow or red, brown etc. ? BUT the Exodus Cheese looks close enough to start flushing and if you water it one more time afterwards they will be fine fo sure ..... The flowering was steady so 9 weeks for the Exodus is normsally more thanenough but then I grow with HPS not LED. The Kalashnikovas are more from the white family /WW background) so they don't get as dark as the Cheese I guees. Basically the same procedere but since I have not grown that strain i do not know how they look when ready. Why not get a microscope and take an insight look to the tops to see if the heads have turned amber are milky or still clear. rule of thumb. 1/3rd amber means it is more than ready. Most cut down their trees once there are a couple heads full with amber . Even if only 10% it is okay - personal choice. Best is trusting your guts - When you think now they are ready take at least a sample. Anyway this grow is already a succes - even if you had to take them down today they would make you stoned..lol

Thanks mate. Nice insight with the cheese :) how powerful is your HPS? From what i've read, i expect to go a little longer compared to HPS, but i guess we'll soon know hehe.

Status now at flowering day 65 : Kalashnikova 1 looks and smells like she's ready for a flush :) Kalashnikova 2 seems to be a little behind her sister, but her buds are bigger and denser. We'll see... Exodus Cheese has fattened up a bit and i'll give her some more time too.

I'm just using plain water now, no more nutrients
