Hi guys/girls

On my second grow, I'll post an introduction later today.

I have a couple of girls that I guess could be guys, I just don't know, haven't seen any males IRL.

I included some hi-res pictures.

Does anyone have any idea whether to cut or keep them ?

Thanks!

Hi bud, well i do not really see pollen sacks but on the other hands the photos dont say much. Gets blurred and hard to see when i zoom in.
I do how ever see a few "stigmas" and that to me show a Fem plant. But as i say, kind of hard to see.
Look for ballsacks at the intersection of branches, that show what you wanna know.
I do see that they are getting slightly unhealthy and if you keep going this way you will have future problems.
How warm is it to start with? seems like the leafs are curling up. Could be a Ph problem or just heat...
If you look closly a few branches is red/purple, that could mean many things and not all of them bad.
But this early in stage it could be a start of a Ph problem...

You should invest in a Marihuana Growing Book !

There are a few good ones around and they all have detailed photos of the common topics and questions.

Tok is basically right, I would follow his advice, check PH and heat :)

If yo cant get heat down, add CO2 ( check forum ) as it makes the plant grow faster and take temps up to 30°C. It's easy & cheap to do, check for CO2 methods available for your budget.

  • 2 weeks later...

hi there!

thanks btw!

and yes indeed, by now they are flowering, almost done in fact (two more weeks or so)

BUT

I've got one "funny" plant. Meaning: it didn't start flowering...

It ain't male either, and it looks just generally "weird". Frankly, I've never seen anything like this ... ever. Did I finally get a hermi? :-)

I'll try to take some pix later today

thanks!!

Hello :)

I had 4 plants, and they are about done.

That one was a grunt, indeed...

I've taken a pic of each plant. Can anybody tell me whether I should harvest them now?

I guess they can take a few days more, but there's one plant I'd like to harvest now.

Please advize!

Thanks in advance folks!!

The eternal question: When to harvest?
Well Franco talk about it in this article "PRESS ME"

The art of harvest is perhaps one of the key factor in how you want your weed to be.
It takes experience and time to know what you want. Many, many grows.
The thing is, there is no 100% sure way only guidelines. Everybody wants their weed a bit differently
I can give you a few pointers...
Some people use their eyes and harvest when they see about 75-80% of the plant turn brown(talking about the stigmas).
Some people use microscopes and magnifying glass to make sure that the colour and the spread of the colour are within the values they want it to be.

Check this picture.
When_To_Harvest.jpg

Now come the tricky part, what do you grow?
Sativas usually get harvest a bit later than an indica. The cannabinoids change property with time. THC breaks down and form other Cannabinoids.
Thats why Sativas get harvest a little bit later to make a good balance between THC and CBD, They all start as CBG

Same with Indica, harvest a bit early to get that balance.
BUT, this is not set in stone. Many growers love their heavy indica or high uplifting sativa and will not harvest as i say.
To sum it up. Harvest early for a more Thc infused weed and later harvest for CBD.

So my end tip is... Harvest as in that photo i show. That's the best beginner tip. Go slow and proper and write down your experince and use those notes to know what you did and the result of it.

Keep them grow...

Ladys are bushy :D  They smell very good before they start to flower...You can spot nice lady at veg stage...smell, more nodes and far better structure-complex.

"light hermi" could be good smoke too..

Keep Growing!
