Too Late to Start Growing Outside

6 posts in this topic

I'm pretty new to this so forgive me if this is a bit of a "green" question, but when would you say it's too late to begin an outdoor grow? I've thought August for some reason but I've heard some people say September.

it all depends on where do you live over here it has been too late to start for months now hehe. if you live in warm country than yeah maybe its not too late, if you live around equator you can grow year around:)

when its fall in northern hemisphere, it is spring in southern hemisphere:)

This would be SoCal. On re-evaluation, I think the cut off to begin was mid-May.

Hey, man, obviously I don't know as much as the seasoned growers on this board but since Spain is roughly parallel to New England, you could look up when people think the cut off for growing in New York is or something like that. I think it all has to do with your distance from the equator (and what hemisphere you're in) so you could probably compare your optimum outdoor grow times situation to someone in New York. Again, this is just an assumption.

Hi, you can put your plants out as soon as

your nights are warm enough, probably 14-15c

minium, remember if started indoor which is best,

harden off before putting out

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
