Hey guys,

First im going to tell you abit about myself... I feel i owe you guys because i've been here a long time on the forum. I had great conversations with the biggest stoners on here and in times of need i always had someone to talk to here.

At the age of 6,
Basicly, me and my sister got abused by a babysitter.  We had to touch eachother whil he was watching in the doorway.
Untill a point where i started realizing what i was doing was wrong and started feeling guilty about it. Ashamed of the monster i was...
But talking about it helped. A few good friends i opened up to told me everything will be okay. That it wasn't my fault. I didnt know better and my parent never really payed alot of attention to me and my sister. For years i have suppressed my emotions and feelings by abusing drugs, mindlessly browsing the internet, not knowing what to do...
A good 5 weeks ago i started talking about my problems, made new friends. Finally my confidence is coming back, i am able to put aside my pride and ask for help, but most importantly, i can be open and honest about myself and who i am.  I am not afraid.

After all of this i have this urge to start a new life somewhere.
There's just to much memory's here that remind me of the past... I can dance with the demons with i cant sleep with them...
Jamaica seems like the only choice. Why? You may ask yourself... We'll i love growing plants and helping people.

I want enjoy life, live peacefully and help people.

I think i've deserved it after everything.

This letter might shock you a little, but its my story and i need to tell it in order for people to understand me...

I have to mention Bob Marley & Eminem, there songs and lyrics have been such an inspiriation. I cannot thank them enough for beeing who they are.

If you have any good ideas, or able to help me out getting to Jamaica and starting my new life, Please let me know.
I will be forever in your debt!

Peace out,
Riina

It takes guts to write what you just did brother and im proud  to call you a friend. You can move where ever your heart takes you but know this, this forum will always be a home for you.
Actually from a ego point of view we will now have a chance to get insight from Jamaica thru you :)
How will you support yourself, how can you just move like that and leave all behind and make it work? I'm asking because i always get impressed when people do things like this because im not sure if i ever could.

This story is certainly touching, I don't know where exactly you are based and I suppose that if Jamaica came to mind is that because you are on that part of the world I guess...

Somebody do correct me if I am wrong but to grow in Jamaica is probably the same as growing in a State that doesn't allow cultivation, another point to consider my dear is that if you are not a Jamaican you might not get away with the same ease if coughs although when coughs it's all a matter of bribing and of course these poor farmers don't have much to live on to start with, so at the end it's easy for no one. Now I know for a fact that Spain for example and some Eastern European country (don't ask me to name them, I couldn't ) allows culture of our precious goods...

I would strongly recommand to weight every possibilities in your final decision.

Not trying to break your dream Bro but just to be on the reasonnable side and choose you destination wisely.

My little 2 cents  of wisdom worth for what is is...

Squale.

I guess you need to be a citizen of Jamaica but...
On 25 February 2015, the Jamaican House of Representatives passed a law decriminalizing possession of up to 2 ounces of cannabis. The new law includes provisions legalizing the cultivation for personal use of up to 5 plants, as well as setting up regulations for the cultivation and distribution of cannabis for medical, religious purposes and natural growth ....

So there is hope....

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
