  1. How many breeders are on this forum and is this something people would like to know more about? Are breeders happy to share their knowledge or is this a bit of a trade secret that shouldn't be discussed? Lets see where this goes!!!
  2. Good to hear there is some interest in breeding. Here are a few links which will be helpful to the novice grower>> Before I make a few points I want to make it clear that I am in no way trying to undermine or discredit any breeder or seed supplier when I discuss feminised seeds. First off, some basics; If you want to cross breed it is very simple, get two entirely different strains, one male, one female, pollinate the female and your get several hundred seeds, grow them and your end up with a third variety often referred to as an F1 hybrid. These F1's are unstable and can produce quite a few hermaphrodites but, you can end up with some really interesting pheno types that can then be cloned. If you want to stabilise your breed it can take several generations of breeding and allot of time and patience. Most small time personal growers wont have the space to properly breed a stable new variety so it's best just going down the F1 route. Your gonna need 'regular' cana seeds for obvious reasons 'feminised' seeds wont give you males (although they will produce hermaphrodites) It should also be mentioned that it is well worth buying regular seeds and keeping a male to pollenate a female or two, your get hundreds of seeds and your weed will be every bit as good as if it was pure sensi, you just have to pick the seed out before you burn the herb! Many years ago most growers preferred to have a male or two in the garden to pollinate a female for the seed, it made sense, you bought 10 seeds, got a couple of males and females and bred them to get, in some cases, thousands of seeds! and some wacky pheno types! Happy days
  3. The Landrace strains from World Of Seeds are all feminized! Boooo Feminising pure landrace strains is a sin and should be made a crime against nature!
  4. Didn't seem to ivankov!
  5. My first mistake was an outdoor grow, my dog ate my plant, lessons learned, keep dog and plant separated
  6. Not so secret secret; If growing in soil, feed and water from the tray not from watering the soil directly; watering from the top of the pot washes out nutrients. Let the plant take in the water it needs and she will be happy. Thats my not so secret secret for soil growing, works a treat on my lettuces and chili plants!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
