  1. Gday all, im going to do a grow journal on my organic indoor grow in my new tent set up, i mostly grow outdoors so allway's have grown the old school way with organics, so im hopping over the next weeks we have a similar results i have had outdoors. OK so i guess ill start with the indoors set up im running. Grow lush Tent which is 1m x 1m x2 tall, was or am very happy tent has 3 main 6in ducting tube's 3 lower vents with flaps, HD zips also came with a removeable tray for spills and easy clean up. Grow lush, 400W HPS That runs in a cool tube. Grow lush, Starter which comes with a 2 year warranty. one very large carbon canister . so thats the basic's of the grow area. Now the soil. i mostly try and use RichGrow products i find that there always a top product and certified products and you can buy it anywhere. i use for say ten lts of soil the break down is this. 3parts Expert seed and cutting mix one and half parts organic cow manure with a N 5 P 5 K5 One cup of Blood and bone N7 p1.5 k1 then i mix one and a half parts of Perlite and vermiclite Water is from my rain tank which has a PH of just under 6 then mix the whole lot together.. Now the seedlings World of seeds. obssion FEM which at this point spent ten days out side and now 3 days under lights. CannaBiogen, peyote purple x 2 reg seeds which are around 5/6 days old.. Im hopping all goes well over the up and coming weeks, i know i need to work on my pics so as the plants take on some growth im sure the pics will be up there, please im up for any comments or qustions so dont hold back. i hope i havnt left anything out. Peace out all Bushy.
  2. Hey everyone, Today i started germination on 3 autobomb seed's as they are the only auto's i have left from green house seed co, the seed's are about a year old so i hope that they will pop. This grow i decided to try something alittle different, i was previously doing my grow's in coco. However because i have a box of General Organic's entire line that i have to use up because it has already been opened so this grow will be entirely organic and instead of using coco i decided to go all out and buy a really nice an rich organic soil. the soil i am using consist's of rich black humus , organic compost, canadian sphagnum peat moss, sand, MycroActive Mycorrhizae and the soil is OMRI Certified . as far as fertilizer i will be using the entire general organic's line. i have never done a full organic grow indoor's and i havent grown in soil in a long while but i was getting comfortable with my previous choice of medium and decided it's time to switch it up, for a change. for container's i have two 11L container's and one 2 gallon container. a choice i made because i bought to much soil but both container's will be sufficient to use from seed to harvest in soil the 11L's might even be too much. the light is a 400W hps. so i planted the seed's tonight they should pop in the next day or so and when they do i will take my first pic's and do my first update. here are the picture's i took of the seed's right before i planted them. So anyway's i will be posting pic's as soon as they pop!!! until then take her easy!
  3. Hello Community! I thought I post a few Updates to my grows I will have this year. I work with the following System: Vegetation: 200x400x150cm Room 2x 110w HCI lamps 1x 96w HCI lamp 2l & 6l Pots with Gold Label "Light Mix Special" Water: EC 0.4 PH: 6.3 Flowering: 100x100x200cm "Home Box" L 400W HPS "Hammerschlag" with EVG 6.5L Pots with Gold Label "Special Light Mix Fertilizer: Plagron Alga "Blom" (Organic Ferilizer) Water: EC 1.3 PH: 6.0 I startet with my "Motherplants" in September, begin of Oktober i "harvestet" the first 10 Clones of my AMS Plant. They are now about 43cm tall, and will be starting their flowering period end of this week. Attached you will find Pictures of the Motherplants on Vegetationday 73 and on the second one the AMS Clones at Day 28: I will Keep updating in 6 Day periods if you have Inputs, Questions or improvements I willl be very greatfull! 4. Hello Hunter's , I seem's it's that time again, for me to crack some new bean's!!! Staying true to my nature i am switching thing's up a little bit yet again, this time around i am doing a full organic grow. I am starting the seed's in beer cups in standard pro mix , they wil be in the cup's till some nice root development goes on then transplanted into a rich organic mixture. I plan on using only pure water for this grow but since i am using a new organic mixture i am gonna play it by ear to see how the development progress's. the rich organic medium i am using is something i will most likely be working with for a while as i have mixed a bunch of it , the organic mix is pretty simple. I mixed ruffly 60 L's of promix with 40 L's of Fertilo ( composted chicken manure) and with 30 L's of Sea compost with Peat, seaweed and shrimp. i have been told this is sort of a hot mixture which is ideal for my purpose's i plan on layering this mixture the bottom 60% of of my 2 gallon pot's with the organic mixture the top 40% with pro mix so as not to burn the new root's after transplanting . i also have a bag of bone meal that i haven't decided if it's necessary to use or not. I am open to suggestion for anyone with organic growing experience indoor's in pot's as this is somewhat new to me i used to make my own soil outdoor's but for bed's and the plant' i put in it where always well vegged. Below is some picture's of the Fertilo and sea compost bag's and a list of the analysis of the content's, Fertilo INGREDIENTS Composted chicken manure GUARANTEED MINIMUM ANALYSIS The analysis is achieved with final product at maximum moisture capacity Total Nitrogen (N) - 1,2% Available phosphoric acid (P2O5) - 1,2% Soluble Potash (K2O) - 1,2% Maximum moisture - 48% Organic matter - 33% - See more at: Sea compost known in Canada as Bio Soil INGREDIENTS Composted manure, sphagnum peat moss, shrimp flour, seaweed GUARANTEED MINIMUM ANALYSIS The analysis is achieved with final product at maximum moisture capacity Total Nitrogen (N) - 1,2% Available phosphoric acid (P2O5) - 0,7% Soluble Potash (K2O) - 0,6% Calcium (Ca) - 1% Organic matter - 33% Maximum moisture - 55% - See more at: As for the promix it isent the name brand but the same basic thing, the company i am using instead of promix is Berger's and the line is BM1 ingredient's and info: Incubated pH = 5.4 - 6.2 Coarse peat moss; Horticultural perlite; Horticultural Vermiculite; Dolomitic limestone; Calcitic limestone; Non-ionic wetting agent Ok so i will be planting the seed's today and will get back to you guy's as soon as they pop!!! the seed's i am popping are 2 bean's of GHSC flowerbomb Kush 1 bean of HSO desert diesel 1 bean of HSO lost coast OG ill be back asap with the fresh popped seedling's until then stay green!

I mist the soil whenever it looks like it’s dried out at the surface. No regular waterings the 1st week. Only misting! The soil is moistened thru prior to sewing my germinated seeds But nothing interesting really happens this week.. Just scrawny seedlings trying to get their bearings! 2nd week above soil 18/6.Thoroughly water the seedlings and allow adequate runoff to ensure that soil is wet all the way thru. This week things are getting a little more interesting as you notice that your plants have really grown since just a couple week ago when they broke soil! I’m sure that I can transplant them at this point, but I’ve chosen to go against an early transplant, to allow to core of the root mass to really develop in the solo. For drainage and added oxygenation i’ve devised a 3 solo cup scheme. The bottom solo is untouched and the middle solo is cut the same as the one that the seedling sits in. I prune the roots the root growing out of the draining spaces as well, so that they don’t start circling the cups. 3rd week above soil 20/4. @ 21 days above the soil roughly, I’ll be looking to transplant from 20oz solo cups to 1gal grow bags and should be ready to top/train the plants! Last run, my most vigourous growing plant ending up being the one I kept in the solo cups the longest @ around 30 days. So I’m hoping to build off of that with a transplant a little sooner than that. The plan initally was to finish that plant in the solo just to see what I could yield, but it started showing signs of being rootbound, so I transplanted it into a 1gal bag, and then a #3 smartpot shortly after that, and that plant ended up being the top producer and most vigorous grower of the batch. Once I get them in the grow bags, I’ll proceed with the thread! _____________________________________________________________ But as far as my growing style goes, I’m an organic small container farmer. Start in 20oz solos, veg in 1gal bags, flower in 3 gal smart posts under 600w HPS. 3-4month start to finish. I’ve recycled and reamended the soil from the last group of plants I’ve harvested, so we’ll see how that goes! I’ve also just started my own compost bin with red wiggler worms, so here within a few month I’ll be able to harvest some RICH vermicompost! And my soil mix is one that’s designed to go from start to finish with water only, but I use ACTs regularly as I’ve seen tremendous results from their use. 8. Historical stuff I first started growing marijuana about 20 years ago. I have always had an interest in gardening and farming. Growing up, my grandparents had a large garden and to this day I remember how much fun it was to work the soil with them and how good everything tasted. Over the years I've always kept house plants and, when I could, gardens outdoors. I've grown marijuana at various times over the years, none of which met with any real success. Up until almost a year ago, I was just throwing seeds out of the schwag I had on hand in some soil and hoping for the best. However, now I have successfully grown about 3 crops with various levels of success and failure. Each experience has provide a plethora new knowledge (mostly in the form of...dumbass, guess you won't be doing that again). Recently, I find my interests in sustainable living and self-reliance fueling my curiosity in landrace varieties and medicinal usages. Anyway, now on to the good stuff!! 11. Hello to all fellow growers, I'll be starting my first ever grow in about a week. I'll be germinating some Easy Ryder from the joint doctor, and pineapple express and sweetooth auto from Barney's farm. they will be going in a mixture of coco, perlite, and bat guano mostly. some ill try potting soil with the perlite and bat guano. any suggestions for any other feeding regiments I should adopt for auto plants? I have 2 small bottles of advanced nutrients jungle juice grow part a and part b that I would like to try on 1 or 2 of the plants, what other fertilizer would compliment the jungle juice grow fertilizer? I'm looking for a good auto grow guide if anyone knows, I am an absolute beginner never tries growing before. Stay lifted, psyjic

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
