Zero Germination Rate (Hollands Hope - Dutch Passion)

6 posts in this topic

Hello, I'm having a hard time germinating them DP seeds.

It's been 3 days since I've put them between plates, but they seem to show no signs of life at all.

I'm using NAYA with a standard Coffee filter, room temp is 25C.

Does anyone have tips on how to jump start seeds, because that's an unusual behavior for an Afghan x Skunk hybrid.

IMO they're all dead.

Some seeds take longer to germinate because they are older or even too young.

Personally, I put the seeds in a glass and leave them there floating for a day or two, until I see them open and get a little radicle. Then I pass them to the flowerpot and water them. Maybe it will help you :)

Cheers

Hi,  better glass of water, #put them in,let them swim,  # they open up  - then plant it,max 2cm from top.not to deep.  No paper filters or towels ,it may have some toxic staff in it,never know😉😎 follow Mr.Jose advice.

Remember about nice , warm ,DARK spot for them.

Yea in the water like others said. But some seeds will never germinate - do you trust your buyer? Maybe they sell you bad seeds.

Along with the glass of water I like to scratch my seeds alittle with sandpaper - making a scarification, this also helps Al

Anche io ho sempre usato un bicchiere di acqua, max24h, dovrebbero anche scurirsi e rinvigorirsi

Good info, sadly they have rotted on a second week of germination.

I've bought new ones from Marc Emery and they have popped 100%.

I think this could have been a storage issue rarher then a breeder issue.

Thanks for the replies.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
