@R.G.S Sorry but i dont understand well what you explain with the moisture. Do you press with 30t for what end product? rosin?

Is always better if the trichomes head are dry before pressing ;-)

It reminds me of red Lebanon that smokes in Amsterdam once, the fact of using the press is to get a good connection between the material and waiting for one night is to get the possible residual moisture the next day is when I work the result with the hands and help plastic film

How do you extract the resin of your plant?  Dry tech or water tech like ice o lator?

Hey friend I use a washing machine and ice extraction although I have also used dry polinator but I prefer cold extraction

So with this water tech, It is ESSENTIAL to dry your extracted trichomes before pressing otherwise you have a big risk that the rotting and the mushrooms are devloped in your hash...

With water tech you can improve a lot the end quality product but the bad thing it is that you have to much water after the sieving process so drying befor press it is VERY important.

And 30t is to much for me, if you have quality hash you can pressed it only with your hands like the traditional nepalese technique. More you have contaminant in your hash, like all the marocan you can find everywhere,  more pressur you need because of the lowest quality of hash. (more contaminants - less trichome heads)

The best way to test a hash quality is the flame and the hand. if you can squeeze it into your hand and it quickly makes a mass, it is a good sign of good hash. And if she is melting when she is heated it is a good sign to ;-)

Most of the marocan hash style you can find now dont make that because of the contaminants in it ;-)

I have a question for you friend, the water to perform the extraction is recommended then that it has 0.0 of e.c (conductivity)?

Yes more your water is pure better your end product ;-)

But if your water is below 0,2ec it is good. If not you can use a simple CAMCO filter like this :

Hello Hunters,

After a good drying of the ice-o-lator, it is time to share with you the Sweet Valley Kush ice-o-lator pressing process.

Material you need:

- Glass bottle with hot water (80c°-100c°)

- insulated potholders

- Nylon Turkey Oven Bags

- Parchement Paper

- Nitrile Glove

- ...

...and last but not least you need the good Sweet Valley Kush ice-o-lator

IMG_5548.thumb.JPG.5ed1c825724aa256c2b0412ef2bf86fa.JPG

First step is to put the ice-o-lator in the nylon bag

IMG_5553.thumb.JPG.6de01a092c05867448c5a693f1456424.JPG

Secondly just put the bottle on the bag. Iin this step you can see the quality of the resin, more speed the resin melt below the glass bottle, more the quality is high. That's crazy when you compare between morocan hash and a good ice-o-lator!)

So now its time to roll the glass bottle gently and slowly on the ice-o-lator...

IMG_5556.thumb.JPG.18c2aa26e2c503434fed9aca2b4d67f8.JPG

After 10 minutes of rolling, the ice-o-lator make a mass, like a fine pancake. (You can see the amazing resin quality on this pics :-) )

IMG_5561.thumb.JPG.f87945a2b8e6fa1f26893ee7dc7f67fe.JPG

After 30 minutes of pressing and rolling with the glass bottle in the nylon bag, the decarboxylation of the resin is optimal and it is time to make a ball, the world famous "Temple Ball"

IMG_5562.thumb.JPG.5621ec54f8945c9dbb0c51532822047b.JPG

For that you take the resin mass out and you roll the resin in a beauty ball form in your hands...

Here are the end result :smoke:

Another 7 days of drying before storing for the curing phase.

Next update i will share with you the evolution of the "Temple Ball" in the glass jar during the curing phase so stay tuned!

That is some quality product being able to melt the trichome heads like that with just the heat from the hot water in the glass bottle.

And the temple ball is awsome, as you say if it is good quality product it should be easy to work by hand into a ball without applying much pressure.

On the Strain Hunters Morroco video they check the hash using a lighter to se if it melts its good quality.

I pulled up a chair Im hooked...

That's right, we see it well in the marocco strain hunters. Marocco make great hash but it is very difficult to find here...Unfortunately, the quality that comes here or in the coffeeshops is often mediocre. Possible to have good quality only with good plugs. Because the first quality is kept locally for the hashishins ...

For the best of the best, make your own hash  :drinks: :smoke:

:smoke:The taste is strong, it takes all the mouth and the throat and it stays long in the mouth. The high is powerful, first cerebral but goes quite quickly to the whole body, very pleasant and very strong. For me, it is clearly a evening or night smoke :smoke:

Next update i will share with you the cannabinoid analysis test with the Alpha-Cat kit of the  SVK hash and of some SVK buds so stay connected...

Beautiful result @ OG.Naj how was the temple ball found during the 15 days until it collapsed in the dark or with some light?

Big thanks for your kind words @R.G.S @gasmeter

R.g.s. the ball has been in glass jars and in  the dark the 15 days. She collapsed during the first  five days. It has not really changed form after but more outward appearance. The teen last days i noticed that the shiny brown was becoming more matt.

Hello Hunters,

Here are some pics and info of the process of the cannabinoid analysis test with the Alpha-Cat kit.

I test the Sweet Valley Kush ice-o-lator temple ball & the SVK#2, #5 & #8 buds.

The AlphaCat Kit

Here are 100mg from the SVK ice-o-lator Temple Ball with 1ml of the "test fluide"

IMG_6179.thumb.JPG.ff25af6a68105a1d1bc07bce0168fe03.JPG

Here are 100mg from the SVK#2 with 1ml of the "test fluide"

IMG_6180.thumb.JPG.d816f4b3c6fe5285e2c8d4a16c383b94.JPG

The TLC test plates in devloppement with 2ml of the "test fluide"

IMG_6184.thumb.JPG.d2c52a7cf3ea15be49196dd8ba44bd3d.JPG

The plate absorb the fluide slowly during 25min

IMG_6185.thumb.JPG.12bfa5a492f0fa4b1f153d1c66b07452.JPG

And after a long work the final result.

IMG_6195.thumb.JPG.e0636542ddb57acb3409603b678de997.JPG

To know whats the pourcentage of the THC i compare the red circle on the plate and the red circle on the "Cannabinoid Percentage Ruler". When the red circle correspond well I note the percentage that I see below and multiply the result by 2 as indicated in the manual.

In addition to the THC we can also see a high % of CBC in each sample on the plate (the red circle 2cm below the big on up)

You will also see in the results that i note 3 differents % of THC. Because the test have a margin of error of 2% for buds and 5% for hash

So the final results is :

Sweet Valley Kush ice-o-lator Temple Ball

40% of THC ( or between 35%-45%)

IMG_6175.thumb.JPG.feb98f5d127da1c0b5539f15349eda9e.JPG

 Sweet Valley Kush #2

16% of THC ( or between 14%-18%)

IMG_6172.thumb.JPG.64a22b1c4d89afa54c2630568a6a87e3.JPG

Sweet Valley Kush #5

16% of THC ( or between 14%-18%)

IMG_6173.thumb.JPG.a04ff30400f14c0f6f6c27fb89f5476e.JPG

Sweet Valley Kush #8

20% of THC ( or between 18%-22%)

IMG_6174.thumb.JPG.4125a842700637f4b5db772c846988fb.JPG

Greenhouse seeds company share this results on the official website : THC:  22.39  CBD:  0.5   CBN:  0.05

So Iam very happy to see that my pheno #8  is very close to what greenhouse has achieved on their selected pheno.

Next update i wil share with you the complete smoke test and report that we will achieve with 3 other friends to have a more objective opinion of the 6 Sweet Valley Kush and of the SVK ice-o-lator Temple Ball so stay connected...

:negative:

Un saludo amigos

@ OG.Naj @ g22 may be that @ganjalover refers to me because I translate my texts from Spanish to English with the use of the google translator and when I paste the text in my diary it sometimes seems that a text is more bold than another , but I have never received a complaint ....

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
