@g22 thanks for the kind words, in the info for Sweet Valley Kush it says they can get really dark at the end.

This is definitely my best indoor grow so far and the first time running photoperiod plants in my little tent which has been nerve wracking the tent has never been this full before.

But the dehumidifier is keeping things under control and I have repositioned the fan for better air flow.

Time for another progress update on the 4 indoor Sweet Valley Kush at the end of week 3 and start of week 4 of flowering.

The dirt in the root pouches was dry today so I mixed 0.4g of the booster with 2 litres of water for SVK-M#1 and SVK-M#2 and 1g of the enhancer per litre for SVK-B#1 and SVK-B#2 and then I gave then all two litre of the solution at about 5pm this afternoon.

Here are a couple of images I took as I prepared to watered and feed the plants.

GHS powder feed mineral booster and bio enhancer mixed ready to water and feed the 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants.

03august-2019-ghs-mineral-booster-and-bio-enhancer.jpg

This evening it is quite warm and humid so I had the tent door unzipped and when the LED went off an 18 inch fan pushing air through the room with the door partly zipped but open as much as possible creating a long crack for warm humid air to escape, because the temperature was 29C and the humidity is 70% because I watered.

I used to water after the LED went out but now I don't do that I water a few hours before because they transpire hard and increase humidity, so I figured they might as well be transpiring hard when the LED is on and I can open the tent and the light outside the tent is of no consequence and it keeps the humidity in the tent down at this time and later when the LED goes off and I need to close the tent door.

I can run the big 18 inch fan to reduce temperature and the humidity so they are not sweating, at this point the buds are still young and wide open so it wont really hurt them, but it is better to have a handle on the thing anyway and control it and optimise as much as possible, and keep the plants as happy as possible so they make nuff buds.

I have a question about the booster hopefully you guys can enlighten me, with the enhancer its easy to deal with I give them 1g per litre and they are good for 2 weeks, am I right in thinking that the booster is given weekly on the chart it says 0.02g per litre week 1 and so on.

At the moment I am feeding every other watering and the dirt in the root pouches takes 3 days to get dry and they get nice and light so this means they get fed every 6 days or once per week.

I am thinking I will play safe with the booster and give it once per week, all 4 plants have been losing lots of fan leaves at the bottom of the plants but this is because of the tent being crowded and these leave not getting enough light so the plants are consuming an dumping them.

I will update again tomorrow with some images of the bud on the plants.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

Hi @OG.Naj inner luv for the kind words bro,

I was a bit worried when they started stretching that they would bee too tall and I would have to tie them down somehow, but its turned out good.

This is the most crowded the tent has ever been so far and despite the fact they have lost fan leaves at the bottoms of the plants they are all doing OK and pushin forward.

I am grateful to Green House Seeds for the opportunity to check the Sweet Valley Kush and run some photoperiod girls in my tent all my previous indoor grows have been autos.

Time for a quick progress update on the 4 indoor Sweet Valley Kush plants as we near the end of week 4 of flowering.

All of the plants are growing nicely and building buds, yesterday the dirt in the root pouches was getting dry and they were nice and light so I gave SVK-B#1 and SVK-B#2 just 2 litres of water each and I mixed 1.4g or short flower power feed in 2 litres of water which I then gave to SVK-M#1 and SVK-M#2 2 litres of the feed and water mix.

Here are some images I took before I watered the plants.

All 4 plants have been losing large fan leaves low down on the plants were they do not get much light because the tent is crowded which is inevitable, but apart from that they are all doing great.

I am really pleased with progress so far and looking forwards to the next few weeks.

Happy growing...  :pleasantry:

End of week 4 and start of week 5 of flowering for the 4 Sweet Valley Kush.

The dirt in the root pouches was getting dry and they were nice and light so I mixed 0.4g of booster per 1 litre of water and then I gave SVK-M#1 and SVK-M#2 2 litres of the booster and water mix, then I gave SVK-B#1 and SVK-B#2 2 litres of water each.

All 4 plants are doing great quietly building bud, I measure all of the plants before I watered and SVK-B#1 is now 95cm tall and SVK-B#2 is now 91cm tall, SVK-M#1 is 85cm tall and SVK-M#2 is 96cm tall, there is not much difference in the growth rate between the bio and mineral feeds.

SVK-M#1 has always been a bit smaller than the other 3 plants from the start of this run.

So over the past week the maximum temparature in the tent was 30.9C and the minimum temperature was 24C the maximum humidity was 81% and the minimum humidity was 49% the peaks in humidity are usually when I have watered the plants.

I try to water the plants a couple of hours before the LED switches off and I leave the tent door open or unzipped to help air flow and during the hot days I have run a big 18 inch fan to blast air into the room to keep the temperature and humidity under control.

Here are some images I took before I watered the plants.

Thanks @OG.Naj in the past I have only had autoflowering plants in my tent so  it was less crowded and the lower fan leaves survive much longer.

With this being the first time I have run photperiod plants in the tent I am just letting them do their own thing to see what happens.

I noticed some beany flies what look like gnats tootling about the room a couple of times over the past few days, so I mixed a solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide and sprayed the dirt to make the surface damp and I am also letting the dirt get very dry before I water again to kill any larvae in the top of the dirt.

Time for a mid week update on the 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants as we approach the end of week 5 of flowering.

Since I sprayed the dirt in the root pouches with a solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide I have not seen any more gnats and the top of the dirt was nice and dry this morning they were due to be watered yesterday, but I need to make sure the dirt is really dry before they get a drink.

I will probably water them tomorrow afternoon which will make it 5 days since I last watered.

Here are some images I took earlier.

I noticed lots of brown spots on the fan leaves on SVK-M#1 (high res).

14august-2019-svk-m#1-spotty-fan-leaf.jpg

Not sure what has caused this I was looking on the Grow Weed Easy web site at plant problems but can't find any images that look the same.

The brown spots are definitely marks on the leaves they do not rub off, are these cause by the fungus gnats?

At about 6.30pm when the LED went off the temperature in the tent was 30C so I have got the 18 inch fan running pushing air through the room and last time I looked the temperature was down to 26C I will leave the fan running until I crash out later around 10pm.

The dirt in all four root pouches was well dry and they seem to have enjoyed the dirt getting really dry, although they looked like they were ready for a drink, plus I have not seen any gnats at all over the past few days.

The dirt on the surface in the root pouches had become compacted so I scuffed it up with my fingers to make sure it dried out efficiently as possible and today the root pouches and plants were really light.

So at 3pm I gave all 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants 2 litres of water each, now I will let the dirt in their root pouches get nice and dry before I water and feed them again, next time I water I will give SVK-B#1 and SVK-B#2 some of the Bio Enhancer enough for 2 weeks and I will give svK-M#1 and SVK- M#2 some Short Flower powder feed.

I am thinking I will add the booster as well so I can then continue to alternate watering and feeding.

I will update again over the weekend with some more images of the plants, the bud is building nicely on all 4 plants I am well pleased with their progress so far and really looking forwards to seeing them finish and starting my next run.

I will update over the weekend with some more images of the plants.

Time for an update at the end of week 5 and the start of week 6 of flowering for the 4 Sweet Valley Kush.

All the plants are doing great I have kept a close eye on them after watering and no more fungus gnats have appeared and the surface of the dirt in the root pouches dried out by the next evening, the dehumidifier has been doing its job, its little tank was half full this morning so I emptied it.

Each day I rotate the plants around the tent and rotate the plants rather than just leave them in one position most of the time so that the stalks against the wall get their share of light, all the stalks do time against the wall of the tent and facing the centre of the tent getting lots of light so the buds are as even as they can be growth wise.

When I was taking some photos of the plants earlier this evening I noticed that SVK-B#2 looked like she was ready for a drink, her fan leaves were all droopy, yet the other plants look fine, when I lifted her out so I could take some photos she was really light, she was nearly floating.

So I mixed 1g of the bio enhancer per litre and gave SVK-B#2 2ltr of the solution that will take her to the end of week 7 then its just water for weeks 8 and 9, I will give SVK-B#1 the same amount of the bio enhancer when she is ready for a drink probably tomorrow or Tuesday.

Here are some images I took earlier.

When SVK-M#1 and SVK-M#2 are ready for a drink I will give them some short flowering feed and some of the booster, then their next drink will be just water and they are back in a routine of alternate feeding and watering.

I am really pleased with progess so far they are all quietly building bud and they still have 4 weeks to go so they should be nice and fat.

Happy growing... :pleasantry::smoke:

Today SVK-B#1 and SVK-M#2 looked ready for a drink their fan leaves were droopy and the dirt in their root pouches was dry and they both felt light.

I mixed 0.5g of mineral bloom feed and 0.5g the booster per litre and then I gave 2 litres of the solution to SVK-M#2

I then mixed 1g per litre of the bio enhancer and gave 2 litres of the solution to SVK-B#1

I then put the plants back into the grow tent so they can enjoy the rest of their day under the LED

By the time I had tidied up the shower tray and rinsed away any enhancer the fan leaves on SVK-M#2 had already perked up.

It looks like SVK-M#1 will probably be ready for a drink tomorrow, she looks happy enough at the moment.

This morning when the LED came on at 6.30am the fan leaves on SVK-M#1 were looking a bit droopy, so early afternoon I mixed 0.5g of bloom feed per litre and 0.5g of booster per litre and then lifted all 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants out of the grow tent, SVK-M#1 was at the back.

Then I put SVK-M#1 in the shower cubicle and gave her 2 litres of the feed and booster solution, then I moved her back into the grow tent and put the other 3 plants back in the tent, making sure to rotate their positions 1 place clockwise so the stalks that were against the tent wall get some light.

I checked on the plants about half an hour later and SVK-M#1 looked a lot perkier and the fan leaves were no longer drooping down.

They are loving the powder feed both bio and mineral and there is no advantage with one over the other, whether you choose the bio feed or mineral feed the results are just the same strong vigorous growth and healthy plants and roots system and fat buds.

Yep the powder feed definitely does what it says on the packet, it is so easy to use, obviously you need a set of scales to be able to accurately weigh out the doses of feed, I would definitely recommend both the mineral and bio feeds.

Especially the bio for someone just getting started with their first grow just feeding 1 time for veg and 1 time for flowering and then giving enhancer every 2 weeks, so most of the time they just have to water and wait for the signs the plants is ready for another drink.

Powder feed lines are definitely great products for sure.

Happy growing...  :pleasantry:

I was going to update last night but I was too tired, I had been to the hospital to see a new consultant about my leg it an hour and a half to travel to the hospital and I was there about 2 and a half hours before travelling for an hour and a half to get back home.

The consultant at the limb reconstruction clinic is a really nice guy and he is very confident he can remove the broken metal plate and get my tibia properly aligned which will involve me having a metal cage fixed to my leg for 6 months.

But this also means my leg will be able to bear my full weight so I won't need the rassclatt crutches while its is healing which is great news, they will do the surgery at some time in the next 3 months or sooner if they have any cancellations, so everything everything.

Yesterday afternoon I noticed the dirt in the root pouch of SVK-B#2 was nice and dry and her fan leaves were droopy so I gave her 2 litres of water.

The other 3 Sweet Valey Kush plants  should need a drink again in the next couple of days.

Here are some images I took earlier today.

The discoloured leaves on SVK-M#1 has increased and some of the leaf tips look slightly burned not sure whats going so I will wait until she is ready for a drink and then give her a good flush in case its nutrient lock or calcium deficiency maybe, but it doesn't seem to have affected growth.

The other 3 are all doing great I will just have to keep an eye on her as we forward.

Happy growing...  :pleasantry:
