What a great update @gasmeter, your plants looks good and we can clearly see the great respond of the plant with your different training and topping,  you will have multiple top class SVK buds. As well, with this work the canopy in your room will be more dense and you will have a better harvest👍💯.

Can't wait to see the flower coming 🌷

The 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants are all doing great and they seem to be responding to me tying down the lower stalks which are now thickening their joint with the main stalk and trying to bend back upwards.

The dirt of the 3 bigger plants is dry and they felt light when I took some photos earlier before the LED went off, I will give them all 2 litres of water tomorrow.

The dirt in the root pouch of the smallest is not dry properly yet so I will leave it until Friday or probably Saturday so it gets really dry.

Here are some images I took earlier.

The smallest plant does seem to be catching up with the others in height now which is good, the other 3 plants are pretty much the same height so it will even out the canopy.

Happy growing...  :pleasantry:

Inner luv for the kind words @OG.Naj :imsohappy::D

Yes the canopy is getting more even now the smallest plant is almost the same height as the other 3 plants.

I agree about the buds being better the plants are all much more vigorous and the way the buds are on the stalks it looks like they will be stacked.

Yesterday the dirt in the 3 tallest plants root pouches was dry and they felt light so I gave them all 2 litres of tap water which had been standing for a couple of days in plastic pop bottles so it was room temperature. All three looked a bit sad half an hour after watering but within an hour they perked up.

This morning when I moved the plants clockwise around inside the grow tent the dirt in the root pouch of the smallest plant is dry but it is not properly dry it does not feel nice and light so I will leave her until tomorrow and see how she is and make then decide whether to water her or wait another day.

The bud on all of the plants are growing nicely I will take some photos tomorrow and post some to update my journal :pleasantry:

End of week 3 start of week 4 of flowering.

All of the plants are growing well and building lots of buds.

The dirt in the root pouch of the smallest plant was dry and it felt nice and light so I gave it 2 litres of tap water that had been standing for a couple of days in a 2 litre plastic lemonade bottle.

This morning the dirt in the root pouches of the 3 taller plants was dry and they all felt nice and light, so I made a feed solution of 1g of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic Magnesium per litre and 3ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed per litre.

I mixed 2 litres of the feed solution for each plant in the 2 litre plastic lemonade bottles and then I gave each of the 3 plants 2 litres of the feed solution and then put them back inside the grow tent.

Here are some images I took yesterday afternoon.

The shortest plant is now 56cm tall and the tallest plant is now 66cm tall.

Over the past week the maximum temperature was 31.1C the minimum temperature was 18.5C and the maximum humidity was 99% and the minimum humidity was 40%

The spike in temperature has been when the central heating comes on and the temperature in the little bathroom where my grow tent is located rises this is usually early evening now it is winter time.

To combat this I open the tent door to relase the hot air and allow greater air flow and I also run an 18 inch fan in the doorway to move the air and lower the temperature.

The spike in humidity is from after watering the plants when I closed up the tent, so I check the humidity and leave the door open to reduce it as necessary by increasing air movement.

More updates to follow soon, happy growing...  :pleasantry:

Time for a mid week progress update.

The 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants are all doing great and quietly building buds.

This morning when I moved the  plants around the tent clockwise I also turn the plants so the do not always have the same side of the plant against the tent wall so all the plants gets as much light as possible.

I noticed the plants all felt nice and light and the dirt in the root pouches was nice and dry so I mixed 1g of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic Magnesium per litre and 3ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed per litre to make a 2 litres of feed solution.

Then I gave the smallest the 2 litres of feed solution and the other 3 plants got water.

Here are some images I took before I gave the plants a drink.

I am well pleased with plants growth each morning I can see the buds look a tiny bit bigger.

I thought that I might have to leave them another day before they were ready for a drink but they are obviously easily consuming 2 litres of water and feed now they are flowering and transpiring harder.

At the moment I am checking out all the strains on the GHS web store so I can make a list of what strains I want to spend my prize from the 3rd Mega Contest on.

Its hard work I man like a pickney in a sweet shop... :pleasantry::danced::search::drinks:

Hi @gasmeter, great update bro. You plants looks happy and your buds are already crystallized 👌

It is a hard choice to make the list for me too. But after a good check my choice go for the new limited edition with the strain I already grow and love from greenhouse.

For me Super Lemon Haze, Exodus Cheese and Hawaiian Snow are very good strain from Gh so my final choice go for:

Super Lemon Haze x Purple Punch x Dosidos
Exodus Cheese x Durban Panama
Exodus Cheese x Swaziland
Hawaiian Snow x Wedding Cake x Gelato 33

And you?

Thanks for the kind words @OG.Naj

At first I was struggling to make a choice, at the start I though I will just get as close to 250 euros as possible at the end of the day its all gravy, but I once I got going I was able to use all 250 euros.

So here is my list of strains I did not bother with any clothing or accessories, plus I also have plenty of nutrients from the contest  :danced:

The Doctor (Feminised) 5 seeds = €32.00
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/the-doctor.html

Exodus Cheese (Feminised) 10 seeds = €57.00
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/exodus-cheese.html

GH Cheese (Feminised) 10 seeds = €40.00
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/cheese.html

Big Bang (Feminised) 4 seeds = €25.50
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/big-bang.html

Bubba Kush (Feminised) 4 seeds = €28
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/bubba-kush.html

The Church (Feminised) 4 seeds = €25.50
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/the-church.html

Sweet Mango Auto (Feminised) 4 seeds = €28
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/sweet-mango-auto.html

Diamond Girl (Feminised) 3 seeds = €14
https://shop.greenhouseseeds.nl/diamond-girl.html

I like Exodus Cheese I have done 2 runs of 4 autos so far so now I know I can run photoperiod girls in my tent I had to get some, I also got 5 The Doctor beans having seen the great results @g22 achieved in the contest, I have not tried the Super Lemon Haze but have a Super Lemon Haze auto bean and a Super Critical auto bean I got free when there was a little cock up with one of my orders last year.

I need to get some more auto beans to go with them so each run of 4 is the same height wise to keep the canopy as even as possible, I got 4 Sweet Mango autos this is a great strain I did a run before the contest it is a really nice smoke with a fruity taste and nice vibe too. :D

I will probably pop 4 of the Jack Herer beans that I won in the contest at the end of next week which will leave 4 weeks of flowering left for these 4 Sweet Valley Kush which will be ready to cut at the end of the second week of December, so the Jack Herer will be about 4 weeks old by then.

But if my prize beans arrive in time I will have to give it another good coat of thinking ha ha ha... :pleasantry:

Well, my friends, @gasmeter & @OG.Naj I didn't ask for any beans (beans) (😂 😂
I asked for two t-shirts keychains cigarette paper grinders and little else I wanted a cap of 45 euros but then I soon ran out of the prize hehe

End of week 4 start of week 5 of flowering.

All 4 Sweet Valley Kush are doing great and the buds are growing a bit every day.

Yeah topping is the word an the way for sure, I am well pleased with way the plants are developing.

In the past I have not tried this technique because I did not want to take anything away from the plant I suppose I thought it would make the plant less than it would be and this would mean less bud.

But it is the opposite 3 of the plants have 4 main stalks and the smallest plant has 2 main stalks even if I FIM'd them they would still have one main stalk each and the plants would be taller.

Here are some images I took yesterday afternoon.

The dirt in the root pouches was dry and they felt nice and light this morning so I mixed 1g of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic Magnesium per litre and 3ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed per litre to make a 2 litres of feed solution for the three bigger plants.

Then I mixed 1g Plant Magic Old Timer Organic Magnesium with 2 litres of water and 3ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed which I added to the 2 litres of water for the smallest plant to give it a mild feed.

Then after watering and feeding each plant I put them back into the grow tent under the LED.

They should be ready for a drink again by Wednesday when I will give them water.

As I see fan leaves at the bottom of the plants start to go lighter green and yellow I am just removing them so the plants do not waste energy on them.

Happy growing...  :pleasantry:

A days ago I noticed that the pistles on one bud in particular at the top of the main stalks on one of the Sweet Valley Kush plants have some light brown coloured stuff on them.

This morning when I rotated the plants positions within the grow tent as I do each day I accidentally touched the bud as I put the plant back inside the grow tent.

It is definitely resin it was very sticky and when I smelled my fingers it is obviously resin.

I have not seen resin production like this on any plants on the last run of Sweet Valley Kush or any other strain for that matter.

Looking at the rest of the plants I can see a similar thing where there is plenty of resin on the pistles of the buds, more at the tops of the plants than on the lower parts.

Here are a couple of images so you can see what I am talking about.

Thanks for the info @g22 and @OG.Naj that's interesting about touching the pistles and spraying stuff and good to know in future.

I avoid touching the bud as much as possible it was an accident when I touched the bud the other day as I was moving the plants.

Well worth doing a run of SVK @R.G.S it is definitely a good resin producer, it would be great if you could just download a bud and have a smoke an get red :D

I got an email from the shipping company this morning to let me know my magic beans are on the way. :danced:

This evening I put 4 Jack Herer beans in a glass of water to soak to get the next run rolling.

Happy growing  :pleasantry:

I noticed that one of the lower stalks on one of the plants had been bent but had not snapped, so I got a little strip of paper and some sticky tape then I made sure the stalk was straight and rolled the paper round the stalk and used a bit of sticky tape to hold the paper tight like a splint to supprt the stalk.

I must have bumped it against the wall of the tent, this happened with another plant a couple of weeks back so I did the same thing and after a week or so when I took the paper splint off and it had formed a knuckle and the stalk was thicker.

The dirt in the root pouches should be dry again by Saturday so I will feed them and give them some of the PK 4-8 nutrient to help them build up those buds.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

End of week 5 start of week 6 of flowering.

All 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants are doing well and building bud, yesterday the dirt in their root pouches was still not properly dry they did not feel light, so I took some photos and put them back into the grow tent.

This morning the dirt in the root pouches was dry and all 4 plants felt nice and light.

I mixed 1g of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic Magnesium per litre and 3ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed per litre, and 2ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic PK 4-8 per litre.

In total I mixed 8 litres of the feed solution and then I placed the plants one at a time into the shower cubicle and gave each plant 2 litres of the feed solution which saturates the dirt in the pouch and there is a bit of run off from the sides and bottom of the root pouch.

I don't let the surface of the dirt form a skin of compacted dirt so that when I water the plants the water is absorbed into the dirt easier, I just scuff the dirt with my finger tips to keep it broken up, this also helps the dirt drying out as well.

Here are some images of the plants that I took yesterday.

The tallest plant is now 69cm and the shortest plant is now 54cm topping has definitely controlled the height of the plants I am well pleased with the results so far.

The temperature inside the grow tent averages around 28C the maximum temparature this week was 31.5C and the lowest temperature was 18.6C this will be during the night when the LED is off.

I have the dehumidifier set at 45% the maximum humidity was 70% this would be after watering and or feeding and the minimum humidity was 35% this would be just before watering or feeding the plants.

The plants now have 4 weeks to go before they are finished so they have either 2 weeks left to feed including this week or 3 weeks if I only give water in the last week.

I notice in the test grow videos they flush and only give water for the last week and in the powder feeding documentation for all the mineral feed it states flush week 9 or last week.

With the bio feed I gave the plants 8 weeks worth of bloom feed so they should have eaten the nutrients in the dirt by the end of week 8, also I gave the last batch of enhancer 3 weeks before week 9 so the plants should have eaten all that by week 9 as well.

I am thinking I will flush and only give water for the last week so they can have another week of feeding.

Happy growing...  :pleasantry:

Looks very good my friend!

Personally I think that the flushing time depend on alot of different factors and the only thing that can guide you is your plant.

More precisely the color of the plant and the leafs. Like in autumn the plant need to take all the nutrients in is leaves, stem etc.

So with mineral feeding it is more 2 to 3 weeks of  flushing but you need to look the color of the plants.

And with bio feeding you need to wait when te plant change the color naturally to the yellow, orange, red, purple and when the plant show you that it is the time for the harvest.

For sur 1 week is not enough to flush out all the nutrients...
