Thanks for the heads up about flushing @OG.Naj

I will take your advice as they forward over the next couple of weeks, I think 2 weeks with dirt sounds logical due to the fact the dirt will always contain some natural nutrients so we need to be sure the plants consumes all the nutrients we add to the dirt as we feed the plants.

I suppose with hydro a week is fine because the substrate like rock wool or coco has no nutrients so it is easier to flush and remove all the nutrients.

Time for a mid week update on the 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants.

All of the plants are doing great and they seem to be enjoying the last feed with some PK 4-8

Here are some images I took this afternoon.

The dirt in the root pouches was dry this morning and all the plants felt nice and light.

So I mixed 1ml of bloom feed per litre and 1ml of PK 4-8 feed per litre and gave each plants 2 litres of the weak feed solution then I put them back into the grow tent.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

This morning the dirt in the root pouches was dry and the plants felt nice and light so I gave each plant 2 litres of water and then put them back into the grow tent.

I will give them a good feed when the dirt dries out in a few days, this is the last week where they will get fed on weeks 8 and 9 they will only get water.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

Time for a mid week update, the buds on the 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants continue to grow and fatten.

The dirt in the root pouches is dry but they do not feel light yet they will be ready for a drink and a feed tomorrow though first thing in the morning when I move them around the tent.

Here are some images I took this afternoon.

This is the last week the plants will get nutrients, so next time they are ready for a drink on Sunday I will give them a mild feed and then the next time they are ready for a drink I will give them 4 litres of water double what they usually get to flush the dirt.

Then its just water for the last 2 weeks.

Happy growing... :pleasantry::imsohappy:

This morning all of the plants felt nice and light, so I mixed 1mg Plant Magic Old Timer Organic Magnesium per litre and 3ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed per litre, and 2ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic PK 4-8 per litre.

In total I mixed 8 litres of feed solution and then I placed each plant in the shower cubicle and gave them 2 litres of the feed solution each and then placed each plant back in the grow tent under the LED.

This was their last proper feed once the dirt in the root pouches dries out in a few days probably Sunday I will give them a final weak feed solution then the next time they dry out I will flush the dirt and its water only until harvest time in the 2nd week of December.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

End of week 7 start of week 8 of flowering.

All of the Sweet Valley Kush plants are doing great they really seemed to enjoy the last feed and all of the buds were definitely fatter the next day and they just keep getting fatter.

The the three taller plants all felt light this afternoon when I took some photos, tomorrow they will be nice and light so I will give them all a last mild feed, the smallest plant still has a couple of days to go before its dirt is dry and the plant feels nice and light.

Here are some images I took this afternoon.

I took all of the pieces of string from the bottom branches now they only have 2 weeks left.

I am well pleased with their progress they have performed well with the Plant Magic nutrients.

More updates to follow happy growing... :pleasantry:

The 3 tallest plants felt nice and light this morning, I am amazed they were not floating around the tent.

So I mixed 2ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Soil Bloom feed per litre, and 2ml of Plant Magic Old Timer Organic PK 4-8 per litre in total I mixed 6 litres and then I gave the 3 tallest plants 2 litres of the feed solution each, then I put them back into the tent under the LED.

The smallest plant still feels quite heavy it will probably be dry on Tuesday the buds look nice and compact and the pistles are mostly brown so it will just get water.

The other three plants will only get water for the next 2 weeks until harvest as soon as their dirt is dry again I will give them 4 litres of water to saturate the dirt and flush it.

More updates to follow, happy growing... :pleasantry:

Thanks for the kind words @OG.Naj I am well pleased with them the buds are nice and hard an full of resin.

I was thinking I would give the smallest a weak feed solution, but I think it will be OK it still needs a couple of days for the dirt to dry properly and she doesn't look like she is short of a dinner so I won't bother with the mild feed I will just flush and water her with the rest of the plants. :good::pleasantry:

Time for a mid week update on the 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants.

The dirt in the root pouches was dry and they all felt nice and light, so I gave each plant 4 litres of water to flush the dirt and get them to use up all the nutrients left in the dirt.

All 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants are doing great and the bud on all the plants is quietly getting fatter.

Only one of the plants is going a lighter green the other 3 plants are still quite dark green, but in the description on the GHS web site/store it does say they get darker at the end so I am going to fret about it.

Hopefully the dirt in their root pouches will be nice and dry by Wednesday and they will be ready for another drink of water, so I am thinking I will give them 4 litres of water to flush the dirt again then they will be dry by the end of the weekend when I aim to cut and harvest them.

I am well pleased with the plants they have turned out really well it will be interesting to compare the yield from the last run with this run I think there is more bud on this run with me topping the plants.

I will definitely be topping the next run of Jack Herer and the Passion #1 thats for sure.

@OG.Naj thanks for the kind words bro

yes this is the first time I have tried topping in the past I was reluctant to do it thinking it would mean less plant and less yield, but the plant is a lot more healthy and vigorous when it has been topped compared to when a plant is FIM'd you definitely end up with a better plant. :good:

inner luv for the kind words @R.G.S and @ganjalover :good:

@ganjalover I know what you mean about lack of interest, we can get so deep into something we lose interest and it becomes meaningless for a while.

Back in my youth when I started to buy LP's I would buy an LP like Dark Side Of The Moon or Wish You Were Here for example and I would listen to it over an over for maybe a month and overdose on it and I would be ill with the thing and not listen to it for a couple of months and listen to other stuff.

But then I would listen to it again and it was all brand new and I would be hearing things I had not noticed previously and rediscover the thing all over again and it would be exciting and rare again, like they say variety is the spice of life.

That was the last time the plants will be watered this is the last week of flowering so as soon as the dirt in their root pouches dries out again which will probably be Sunday or more likely Monday I will start to harvest them.

It is now the end of week 9 of flowering and these girls have covered the distance, time to cut and harvest.

The fan leaves on only one plant are fading and going yellow with the 2 tallest the fan leaves are fading low down on tthe plants and the smallest is still very dark.

When I watered the run off from all of the plants was nice and clear each time and on the GHS store in the information for Sweet Valley Kush it does say they can be very dark at the end, so I am not going to fret about it.

I like to harvest when the dirt is dry and they are ready for a drink, the dirt in the root pouches is dry but they are not light yet, the one with the fan leaves that are fading and yellowing will be nice and light tomorrow so I will cut that one first along with the smallest plant.

The two tallest plants can enjoy a couple more days under the LED while they wait their turn to be harvested and I can also move the Jack Herer and Passion #1 seedlings into the grow tent under the LED as well.

Here are some images I took yesterday evening just before the LED went off.
