This morning when I moved the Cheese plants around the tent the dirt in their root pouches was dry and they all felt nice and light so I gave the tall Exodus Cheese and the 2 Green House Cheese plants 2 litres of water and the the small Exodus Cheese got just 1 litre of water.

I need to keep them going until I have the extractor fan and carbon filter then can control the smell I can harvest them and in the meantime the bud is just getting fatter.

I rang to check up on my order this morning there has been no updates since I placed the order on Monday night and I was told they should have it dispatched tomorrow so hopefully it will arrive in the next few days.

More updates to follow, happy growing... :pleasantry:

:taunt::rofl::pleasantry:

I feel that the exodus cheese is giving you strong smell problems but it is definitely worth it

 I hope that the type of terpene feels nice to your body and appreciates puffs just as I enjoy them when I have exodus to smoke

Let's see if it takes you a no long time to bring your order 🤞

_________

@R.G.S yes the Cheese plants are ripe an sticky and very smelly but as you say its a nice problem and will be worth the struggle :drag::smoke:

My order arrived this afternoon so I have it under control now :good:

Last night when I logged into the hydro store to check my order it was not visible so I sent an email to the customer support email address and this morning I got an email to let me know my order was on its way and there was a tracking number.

When I used the tracking number I could see that my order was on the delivery vehicle on its way to me, and mid afternoon it was delivered, so far I have just popped the dust cover on the filter and connected it to the fan.

I have not set up the filer and fan in the grow tent yet I have had it sat outside the grow tent with the door open and it reduced the smell in the room a huge amount after an hour and there is no smell outside the room.

Extraction kit and measuring 500ml jug and cups the 1 litre jug was missing.

Extraction kit un-packaged ready to assemble.

Extractor fan and filter set up and running outside grow tent.

Tomorrow I will work out how I am going to hang the filter and the fan I have a couple of straps that came with the tent that I can use that I will test first otherwise if they don't work out I can make something with some thing rope.

As soon as the dirt in the Cheese plants root pouches dries out in the next day or so I can harvest and then move the Silver Back girls into the tent.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

Time for a weekly update on the 4 Cheese plants at the end of week 9 of the flowering period.

This morning I set up the carbon filter and inline extractor fan in the grow tent and added a small length of duct to get the air out of the top of the tent.

18july-2020-extractor-tent.thumb.jpg.4fd29c5482197340f9d17eb7c1c306db.jpg

I am well impressed with the carbon filter and fan just having them running in the room outside the tent made a huge difference and there was only a slight smell, but an hour after setting them up inside the grow tent there was no smell in the room or outside the room within the house or outside.

The dirt in the root pouches is getting dry and they are felling nice and lite so I will be able to start harvesting tomorrow. :butcher:

I was busy today painting a new wing mirror for my dads car so I ran out of time and I was unable to take any photos of the plants, but I will take a load of photos of the plants tomorrow afternoon when I harvest the plants.

Once I have the plants harvested I can move the Silver Back girls into the grow tent.

More updates to follow, happy growing... :pleasantry:

They are right that I ever had to put an extension hanging on a cable and in the end the weight of the plug removes the connection from the site be careful with connections that do not support weight friend @gasmeter

_____

Tienen razón a mi alguna vez me pasó de poner un alargó colgando de un cable y al final el peso del enchufe saca la conexión del sitio tenga cuidado con las conexiones que no soporten peso amigo @gasmeter

Yes the cable for the fan is coiled around the tent pole usually it is a slow long spiral to avoid having the cable in a tight coil as @jsm points out this can create heat in the cable with it being coiled this is why it is best to always unroll or unwrap an extension cable from its drum before you start running power through the cable to avoid it heating up.

The extension lead bringing power into the tent comes into the tent through a vent at the back left top corner and it is hung over the tent pole running from front to back across the roof of the tent which the yoyo's for the LED are hung from.

Yes that's a good point not to have things hanging on the cable and plug, you may get away with it if the thing is light, but its not a good idea.

Yesterday afternoon I installed the new indicator unit and wing mirror glass and the outer cover unfortunately at that point I realise there is still a small black piece of plastic missing below the front cover of the mirror.

So I place a few pieces of masking tape around the edge of the cover to make sure it cannot pop off then I tidied up.

Then I got my camera and took photos of the Cheese plants and then I set up the string lines to hang the bud on the stalk and then I started to harvest the plants starting with the small Exodus Cheese which I had trimmed and hung up by 17.00pm.

I then had something to eat and then I stripped the fan leaves off the taller Exodus Cheese and then I stripped the plant down stalk by stalk and then I trimmed the bud on the stalk and hung the stalk and bud to dry.

By the time I finished trimming the bud it was about 20.30pm so I decided to call it a day, as I was trimming the bud I kept scraping the clipper blades and collecting the resin and I had a nice little piece of charas which I rolled into a little sausage about 1 inch long and put it in a spliff of Sweet Valley Kush I harvested at Crismus and it was sweet.

This morning I stripped the fan leaves off the smaller Green House Cheese plant and then stripped her down stalk by stalk and then I trimmed the bud on the stalk and hung the bud on the stalks to dry.

I stripped the fan leaves off the taller Green House Cheese plant and stripped her down stalk by stalk and trimmed about half the plant before I stopped for something to eat at lunch time, then after lunch I had a spliff and finished trimming the bud.

Then I took the LED down from inside the grow tent and released the duct on the extractor fan, then I released the velcro straps holding the carbon filter and extractor fan and removed it from the tent and placed it on a chair directly below the bud drying on the stalks along with the dehumidifier.

I am well impressed with the fan and carbon filter even outside the tent it is keeping the powerful and strong smell of fresh cut Cannabis under control, just outside the door there is a slight smell but nowhere else in the house.

Then I put the LED back into the tent and tidied up the cable routing then I put the Silver Back girls onto a large round black saucer and placed them in the grow tent and then I adjusted the LED to about 18 inches above the plants.

Then I reset the timer so they continue with their 18/6 photoperiod, this morning I did not cover the Silver Back girls with the cardboard box so they had had an extra long day today.

I will post images of the bud that I took before I started to harvest the plants tomorrow.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

The bud has been hanging on the stalk drying now for 7 days and the bud snap off the stalk so it is time to remove the bud from the stalks and get them into Kilner jars.

Here are some images I took as I cut the bud from the stalks.

All of the Green House Cheese and Exodus Cheese bud hanging on the stalks.

27july-2020-exc-bud-kilner-jar.thumb.jpg.0489d109a6903314d97d832ded7d0322.jpg

Here are the weights for both pairs of plants and the total weight of bud.

Green House Cheese bud = 60g
Trim = 11.6g

Exodus Cheese bud = 56.3g
Trim = 9.2g

Total bud = 116.3g or just over 4 ounces
Total trim = 20.8g

I well pleased with the bud harvested from the plants I thought that there would be a bit more Exodus Cheese than Green House Cheese but it turned out to be the opposite with the Green House Cheese performing slightly better on weight.

I will post a smoke report this evening.

Happy growing and harvesting... :pleasantry::drag::drinks:

Now I have cut the bud from the stalks and put it in Kilner jars its time to do a quick smoke report.

27july-2020-cheese-spliffs.thumb.jpg.ee0292a072ff45fc3a435f9d44478898.jpg

Exodus Cheese

The bud smells bitter and like chives and vegetal.

The taste when smoked is bitter and similar to the smell with a taste like chives with a sort of creamy aspect.

The taste is very distinct and I imagine it will evolve over time as the bud cures in the jar.

Green House Cheese

The bud smells sort of sour with a metalic aspect.

The taste when smoked is totally different to the smell the taste is very slight to me it is milky and very smooth.

The taste is very slight or subtle hopefully it will evolve as the bud cures in the jar.

Happy harvesting and smoking.. :pleasantry::drinks::drag:
