Cloud Walker Test Grow 2020 - Completed

Recommended Posts

Time for an update on the Cloud Walker girls at the end of week five and start of week 6 of flowering.

On Thursday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was good the sky was clear and blue with very little cloud so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

The weather went from a clear sky to cloudy by about 10.30am and it stayed pretty cloudy most of the day at one point in the late afternoon it looked as though it was going to rain, but it held off.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants back into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Friday morning it was 07.00am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was good the sky was blue with very little cloud so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

The weather stayed the same all day with light cloud and sunshine then at 18.45pm I moved the plants back into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Saturday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was cloudy and cool so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

By about 08.30am it warmed up and the cloud thinned out so I moved the plants outside into the back yard, the dirt in the root pouches was dry and both plants felt nice and light so I gave them 2 litres of water each.

The weather stayed nice and sunny with very little cloud for the rest of the day and the plants were able to soak up the rays and continue building bud which is quietly getting bigger and the sugar leaves are starting to get nice and frosty too.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants back inside the shed and locked up for the night.

This morning (Sunday) at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was not too cool so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

The forecast is good for the rest of the day light cloud and sunshine like yesterday so the plants can stay outside again all day and soak up the rays, then at 18.30pm I will put them back inside the shed and lock up for the night.

Here are some images of the plants that I took yesterday just before I watered them.

The plants are enjoying the sunshine at the moment, for me the smell from the bud is earthy, herby with a hint of bubble gum.

Although this is week 6 of 12/12 it was 2 weeks before there was any tiny bud so technically they are about 4 weeks into flower, so they still have a few weeks to go yet.

Hopefully the weather will stay fair as long as we get more good days than shit days its all good.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

Time for an update on the Cloud Walker girls at the end of week six and start of week 7 of flowering.

On Monday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was quite warm so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

The weather stayed nice for most of the day there was a shower of rain mid afternoon so I moved the plants back inside the shed but after half an hour it dried up again so I moved the plants back outside into the yard.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants back into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Tuesday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was a bit cool so I left the Cloud Walker girls in the shed.

Yesterday the weather forecast for today was for heavy rain showers, but over night there was a big storm with lots of thunder and lightening and shit loads of heavy rain.

By 07.30am it had warmed up a bit so I moved the plants outside into the back yard.

The dirt in the root pouches was dry and the plants felt nice and light so I mixed 0.4g per litre of hybrids powder feed and 0.4g per litre of the booster PK+ and I made up 4 litres of the feed solution.

I then gave each of the Cloud Walker plants 2 litres of the feed solution.

The weather stayed nice so the plants stayed outside all day soaking up the rays.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants back into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Wednesday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was quite warm so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

The weather was good all day so the plants spent another day outside soaking up the rays.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Thursday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was quite warm so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

In the early afternoon I noticed some fan leaves were drooping the dirt in the root pouches was dry and they felt nice and light so I gave each of the plants 2 litres of water.

The weather was good all day so the plants spent another day outside soaking up the rays.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Friday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was quite warm so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

The weather was good all day so the plants spent another day outside soaking up the rays.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Saturday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was quite warm so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

This morning (Sunday) at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was crap it was dull wet and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

By about 12.00pm the cloud had thinned and it had warmed up and the sun was putting in an appearance, so I moved the plants outside into the back yard to soak up the rays.

At around 3pm it started to rain lightly so I quickly moved the plants back inside the shed under the fluorescent tubes.

It looks like the weather will stay dull and cloudy for the rest of the day and there is a good chance of more rain showers so I will leave the plants inside the shed for the rest of the day until 18.30pm when I switch off the fluorescent tubes and lock up.

Here are some images of the plants that I took yesterday afternoon just before I watered and fed them both.

Time for an update on the Cloud Walker girls at the end of week seven and start of week 8 of flowering.

On Monday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was crap it was dull wet and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

The weather was crap all day so the plants stayed inside the shed.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Tuesday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was crap it was dull wet and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

At around 2.30pm the cloud thinned out and the sun was shining so I moved the plants outside into the back yard.

At about 4pm it started to rain so I moved the plants back inside the shed.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Wednesday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was OK the sky was blue and it was quite warm so I moved the Cloud Walker girls outside into the back yard.

At around 1.30pm it started to rain so I moved the plants back inside the shed under the fluorescent tubes where they stayed for the rest of the day.

At 18.30pm I moved the plants into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Thursday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was dull and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

At about 08.00am the cloud thinned out and it was warmer so I moved the plants outside into the back yard.

The weather stayed dry so the plants spent all day outside.

At about 3pm I went out into the back yard to check on the plants and a gust of wind had knocked over one of the Cloud Walker girls, so I quickly lifted her upright, I had noticed that the dirt in their root pouches was dry and both of the Cloud Walker girls felt nice and dry so I gave them both 2 litres of water each.

I also noticed a little green caterpillar on one of the Passion #1 plants, which I promptly squished between my fingers, then I mixed up 1 litre of Trounce and sprayed all of the plants in case there were any more of the little twats lurking about.

Then at 18.30pm I moved the plants back into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Friday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was crap it was dull wet and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

At around 3pm the weather dried up so I moved the plants outside into the back yard.

The weather stayed dry so I left the plants outside until 18.30pm then I moved them into the shed and locked up for the night.

On Saturday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was crap it was cool dull and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

By 09.00am the cloud had thinned out and it was warmer so I moved the plants outside into the back yard.

At about 4.30pm I took some photos of the plants and it was trying to rain so once I had taken the photos I moved the plants back into the shed so they would not get wet when it does start raining, which it did about half an hour later.

At 18.30pm I switched off the fluorescent tubes and then locked up the shed for the night.

On Sunday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was crap it was cool dull and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

The weather forecast was for light rain showers it stayed dull and cloudy and at 10.30am there was a light shower so I was glad I had left the plants inside the shed.

Last night (Saturday) as I was looking at the images of the Cloud Walker girls I noticed some bud rot on one plant on a single bud, so I decided that it would be best to remove the offending bud and then harvest the Passion #1 girls.

Now the Passion #1 girls are harvested I can focus on the Cloud Walker girls and getting them finished.

This morning (Monday) at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes it was a bit cloudy and there was plenty of blue sky but it was a bit cool so I left the Cloud Walker girls in the shed.

The forecast for today is good so the plants can stay outside all day until 18.30pm when I lock up for the night.

Here are some images I took on Saturday afternoon.

24august-2020-cw-bud-rot-stalk.thumb.jpg.6786bbafbaa0a1ebcf406cc725d74b4f.jpg

When I was looking at the images of the site on the stalk where I cut off the bud I thought it looked a bit dodgy, but after checking it this morning it is just brown from exposure to the air as you would expect after cutting a stalk, I was a bit worried it might not have cut off enough, but I am pretty sure I caught it before it had chance to do any damage.

I can see that the buds are now starting to close up now, they were due a feed next time the dirt in their root pouches dries out, but now the weather is becoming more unsettled the forecast for tomorrow is for strong wind and light rain showers.

So I will play it safe and just give them water just in case anything goes wrong and I have to harvest the plants.

More updates to follow, happy growing... :pleasantry:

Time for an update on the Cloud Walker girls at the end of week eight and start of week 9 of flowering.

On Tuesday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was very dull cloudy and raining so I left the Cloud Walker girls in the shed safe and dry.

It looks like the weather is set for the day so the plants will have to stay in the shed all day as storm Francis passes by.

On Wednesday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was dull, cool and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

At about 10am I moved the plants inside into the conservatory and set up a fan and left for a couple of hours, then about 1pm the cloud had thinned out and the sun was shining so I moved the plants outside into the back yard.

The weather stayed OK for the rest of the afternoon so I left the plants outside until 18.30pm then I put them in the shed and locked up for the night.

On Thursday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was dull and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

The weather stayed dull and cloudy all day so the plants stayed in the shed then at 18.30pm I locked up for the night.

On Friday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was cool dull and cloudy so I left the Cloud Walker girls in the shed.

The weather did not improve so the plants stayed inside the shed all day and at 18.30pm I locked up for the night.

This morning (Saturday) at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was cool but there was very little cloud, so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed until it warmed up.

At about 9.30am it was warmer outside so I moved the plants outside into the back yard to enjoy a bit of sunshine.

The plants spent most of the afternoon outside at about 4pm it went really dull and overcast and looked like it was about to rain so I moved the plants into the shed and within 10 minutes there was a light shower.

The plants stayed inside the shed until 18.30pm when I switched off the fluorescent tubes and locked up for the night.

Here are some images of the plants that I took this afternoon.

As I was taking the photos I noticed the fan leaves on a bud at the top of a stalk on the taller plant were curling up so I got a magnifying glass to have a good close look and it was a bit of bud rot so I cut it off.

29agust-2020-cw-tlr-bud-rot.thumb.jpg.864d6e77f2bd5d344673b35c7ff834a9.jpg

The bud on both plants has closed up, the taller plant more than the smaller plant and the bud is now about as ripe as its going to get the weather here is now getting cooler so I am going to play it safe at this point and harvest the plants.

I was hoping to water them again and then harvest them at the end of next week, but the weather is changing and getting cooler now as we reach the end of summer, I can see that about 75 percent of the pistles are brown and when I harvested the Passion #1 girls I stripped fan leaves off the Cloud Walker girls that had gone yellow.

And over the last week they have both been consuming the nutrients in lots of the rest of the fan leaves, so they will be OK to cut and harvest in the next couple of days.

I am well pleased with this grow I have only lost a couple of buds to bud rot which fortunately this time I have spotted early, once I start to trim the bud on the stalks I will soon find out if I have missed anything.

More updates to follow, happy growing... :pleasantry:

Yesterday morning at 06.30am when I unlocked the shed and switched on the fluorescent tubes the weather was cool but the sky was blue with very few clouds, so I left the Cloud Walker girls inside the shed.

By 9am it had warmed up and the sun was shining into the back yard so I moved the plants outside to soak up some rays.

The Passion #1 bud had been drying on the stalk for a week and it was dry, so I cut the bud off the stalk there was 16.8g of bud and 5.2g of the trim which was not bad for two little plants and its a nice smoke.

Then I rolled a spliff and then went for a walk to get a bit of fresh air, when I got back from my walk I had something to eat and a brew and a spliff, and at about 1.30pm I decide it was time to cut and harvest the Cloud Walker girls.

I got a cardboard box and took it outside and removed all of the fan leaves from both plants, which I drop on the floor as I strip them off the plants then I remove the stalks from the fan leaves and put them into the cardboard box to dry.

I did this in the back yard then I stripped down the shorter plant first and placed the stalks onto a bin liner which I then used to carry the stalks inside to the attic where I then trimmed the bud on the stalk and hung the stalks off the string lines.

Here are some images I took during the process.

Both Cloud Walker girls with all their fan leaves stripped off.

After stripping off all of the fan leaves I found 3 more buds with bud rot which I quickly removed by placing a plastic bag over the bud and then cutting it off holding the bud using the bag, I then placed the bag in the shed until I throw it away.

I have the extractor fan and carbon filter sat on a chair directly below the bud hanging on the string lines so minimise the smell in the room while they dry out over the next few days.

Although I have lost 4 buds to bud rot, the plants were healthy right up to harvest and the bud was ripe and ready to harvest, so I am well pleased with this grow and the end results.

I will update again with a smoke report as soon as the bud is dry next week.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

Time for an update on the Cloud Walker bud drying hanging on the stalk, yesterday as I was checking through some photos of the Silver Back girls I noticed some bloodclatt spider mites on one plant.

I was going to cut the bud off the stalk today, but I needed to spray the plants and I could not open the shower door because of the stalks, so I mixed 500ml of Trounce and put it into a spray bottle.

The bud was nice and dry so I then took all the stalks off the string lines and removed the bud from the stalks.

There was 53.8g of bud and 20.3g of trim which is not bad considering the size of the plants and the weather.

To me the bud smells sort of fruity, with a hint of bubble gum and metalic aspect to the smell, it will be interesting to see how this develops in a few weeks time as the bud cures.

To me the taste of the bud when smoked is mostly sort of fruity at the moment it will be interesting to see how this develops.

Last night when I had a spliff of Cloud Walker the vibe is strong the buds are well sticky with resin, although earlier I had smoked a nice spliff of Sweet Valley Kush left from Crismus there is a large bud and some dust at the bottom of the jar so I need to move the bud into the jar with what is left of the Jack Herer and make a fat spliff with the dust and bust it.

This morning I had a 1 skin spliff of the Cloud Walker at about 10am and then I went out for a walk and 2 hours later when I got back home I was still feeling it, so I had something to eat and at about 1pm I had another 1 skin spliff of Cloud Walker.

I like it the hit is strong for sure, I will definitely have to buy another bean to go with the 3 I have left so I can do a run of 4 indoors its another great strain from Green House Seeds keep up the great work guys.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

Great, reading your smoke report has made me want to get high again right now hahaha

Thank you for your crop diary, my friend. It's great and also very well updated, I love it. I'm glad you had a good harvest, well deserved.

Have a nice week
