gasmeter
@Doniusz77 that's a good question I was thinking more about the nutrients the Wonder Pie and Bubba Slush are both hybrids so that means you can use the same feed, the White Strawberry Skunk is a Strain Hunters strain does that use the hybrid feed? The great thing with the Green House Seeds store before the upgrade was that when you looked at the page for any strain the recommended nutrients were also shown in a sidebar on the right hand side of the page which was really useful when your trying to make an informed choice about what to grow. Another thing to consider is the difference in the internode spacing between strains for an even canopy the Wonder Pie and Bubba Slush look very similar and the White Strawberry Skunk looks like it will be a bit taller in the info it says medium to tall plant.
Mama Jane
Good afternoon. @Doniusz77 the vegetative period all depends on strain over the method of cultivation. For instants, DWC i only give 4-5 weeks as that is all we need in my space, heights is only 1.8m. @gasmeter yes the recommended feeding for White Strawberry Skunk is the Hybrid powder feeding. The canopy can be almost be kept under control with Low Stress Training. To fill any spaces incase there is any i shall also flower a few little clones and get gone if turns out they have no space. Only 1 will be in DWC, so choose. wonder pie could go to DWC with couple of clones if you wish, its a forum decision. (i hope) jane.
gasmeter
That is good that all the strains use the hybrids powder feed. I see you already have new strains on the go so I vote for the White Strawberry Skunk for bit of variety.

Mama Jane
Good evening once again growers. 25 days have past since last update, Wonder Pie has been building her root and now been put in about 5l of recycled coco, watered in at 0.3g/l grow powder feeding at just under 6ph. The little baby was under a mild lighting for two and a half weeks, then moved under 250w MH about a week ago. not noticed this before she starts with 1 true leaf then jumps to 5 missing 3 altogether. I will end here and introduce the winner of the vote, haha in another post. jane.

Put to jiffy Around 2 days later (today). She has shown me a root. To Hydroton and in DWC. just water ph 6. Today was her first full 18hrs light, all is left for me to do now is place an airstone in the chamber and connect to an air pump. In the next update we will bring both girls together. Thanks for popping in see you all soon. jane.

Mama Jane
Hello growers. This update is to show roots out of net pot which happened yesterday with one just out, today when the photograph was taken we have 3 maybe more. Still only using plain ph'ed water for her. Reasonable growth on top over the last week under 250w MH bulb. First root out on the 5th, pic taken 6th November, 7-8 days old. Showing good promise. Wonder Pie is growing nicely still being feed on 0.3g/l Grow PF. This week we will start some LST on her to promote some branch growth. Top view. Side view. Love to all. jane.

Mama Jane
Hello growers. Time has come to reduce day light hours for this round. I have been thinking about buying a CMH 315 and save a little on power, however during some window shopping i found it quite pricey what with the price of the bulbs and the running gear. So I decided to buy a bulb that works with my existing ballast. The first picture are from the day I potted on Wonder Pie on the 23,11. WP Her root. SVK This is the last update where the MH bulb is being used, please see next update.
Mama Jane
First flower stage update. All plants have had their first 12hrs dark period and now under the new bulb. White Strawberry Skunk is now 4 weeks young, the day before we topped her and now has 12 branches remaining. The feeding now is at 9g of Hybrid powder feeding in 30l of water PH6. The recirculating system has 12l in the root zone and 18l in an exterior reservoirour currently at 18c. Wonder Pie and the Sweet Valley Kush are being feed on 0.5g/l of Hybrid powder feeding as they go into the 12/12 photo period. Wonder pie. Sweet Valley Kush. A group shot, with hopefully a pretty one (tell you more later.) See you all soon, thanks for your support guys. jane.

Mama Jane
Hello once again growers. Day 10 12/12. Temp-day 27-28, night 17-18. RH 50-70% White Strawberry Skunk. Water temp is stable at 16-17c, feeding still 0.3g/l, PH6. She has had a nice growth spurt however quite a distance between the inter nodes, saying that the light is still high we can lower it soon. Root has developed well over the last 10 days looks like its gonna be a big one. Top view. Side view. Inside the root chamber. Wonder Pie. This girl has almost a flat canopy and we have not topped her, which is handy for later on if we start to run out of canopy space as we can then pull the branches outwards and back to reduce area needed. Feeding has not changed we are still on 0.5g/l which probably wont change until we see flower development. Top view. Side view. Next update we should be round about the time we give the first mid flower flush to the coco plants. Thanks for stopping by. jane.
Mama Jane
Evening growers. Just a popped in to let you know on day 11 we had a clear view of pistels on the tops, now just starting day 13 of the 12/12 photo period we can see the strawberry is not far behind. To me this seems quite fast could this be due to the new bulb spectrum? Whether or not it is i am happy with the investment so far. Wonder Pie, Kush, and Pretty maybe. White Strawberry Skunk. jane.
gasmeter
@Mama Jane they look nice and healthy great job That is interesting how the serrated edges on older fan leaves are curling upwards on the Strawberry Skunk in the last image above, yet its obvious its not caused by over feeding. Mama Jane
Good afternoon growers. Progress update Day 19 12/12. White Strawberry Skunk. Still on only 3g/10l of hybrid powder feeding, soon i shall add some boost. Top, almost flat canopy. Side view. Coco plants all had their first mid flower flush not that they needed it, it is only a preventative measure to stop a build up of unwanted salts. The solution was 1g/10l of boost powder feeding at PH6, each plant had the same amount as their pot size, and when they are light the next mix will be Hybrid and boost feeding. Wonder Pie top view Sweet Valley Kush top view. Side view. This is Pretty, any ideas what strain she is. (i know so i will fill you in at the end) Looks like she got my make up on. Bye for now. jane.

A group shot of 4 Greenhouse/Strainhunters strains. Merry Christmas, and love to all. jane.
Mama Jane
Happy New Year growers. Day 35, 2nd January 2021. Since the last entry in this diary although we have had some nice growth on the plants there is also some bad news. The White Strawberry Skunk has some dam nana's on most of the top buds. I have have made the harsh decision not to chop and just carry on knowing this will pollinate the rest. Not knowing whether or not the pollen from the strawberry will make Hermie seeds on the other 3, however this is my chance to find out somewhere I remember reading this however the internet is full of misinformation. From memories of my youth seeded weed still gets us high and we could always make some extractions. White Strawberry Skunk in all her glory. Wonder Pie is still plodding along and slowly adding more boost to the feeding, on this day 35 12/12 we fluhed the plant for the second time with 10l of water and added 1g of boost slightly above PH6. A side view. In this picture if we take note of the top and bottom left we see some browning pistils possibly from pollination. Also some of the pistils appear to be drying that also could be pollination hopefully something good will come of it. I however still manage to smile upon opening of the door and the girls are waving at me. The other two which are at the front we have Sweet Valley Kush on the right and over on the left is Banana Krumble a light purple color. That's it for now friends till next time jane.
