Streetstrainsuk Posted January 14, 2022 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Velvet Moon • Holy Snow germinated & above ground in 48 hours thanks to Greenhouse Powder Bio Enhancer. currently vegging in 60x60x120 under an 80w White LED strip light & a small burple led and are on an 18 hour ON & 6 OFF schedule Humidity can go up & down between 50 - 70% Temperature at lights out 19 Celsius and gets to 28 sometimes 30 Celsius when the lights are running & its relatively warm outside. They are planted in 1 litre pots in a buffered coco 70/30 mix with perlite both have been watered with Enhancer. I will start them on Bio Grow once the first set of serrated edge leaves are well established. Streetstrainsuk Posted January 22, 2022 Author Share Posted January 22, 2022 📅Vegging- WEEK 1 • VELVET MOON • WEEK 3 • HOLY SNOW • I have decided to do a side by side comparison grow where I will be feeding the Holy Snow with Shogun Fertilisers & velvet moon will be fed on Green House Powder Feeding Bio line. see how they fair against each other just for a bit of fun and educational purposes. i have given the Holy Snow a diet of - Samurai coco A+B • Katana root • Zenzym & Silicon Velvet Moon will receive 3g of Bio Grow tonight before lights out with water set at a PH of 6.2 🚨 I have managed to loose 2 velvet moon seeds, one wouldn't remove the seed hat and just stopped growing, then another has been planted but no sign of her breaking ground. I haven't had germination issues for a while now but it could be something I've done here. Has anyone else had any issues with this strain? They are both healthy and growing as well as I'd expect them to be at this stage. I do have to admit that the organic greenhouse fed Velvet Moon looks better then the one fed on Shogun, the difference is definitely noticeable but that's not to say that the one fed on shogun isn't healthy, it is growing sufficiently, it's just not anything dramatic just yet. where as the plants grown with Greenhouse feeding Bio Line or Using both GreenHouse and Shogun together you will see amazing explosive growth that will blow you away! I've uploads pictures of 2 Holy Snow & 2 Velvet moon one Holy Snow is getting fed both GH & Shogun and one velvet Moon will be getting both too. then one Holy Snow gets Shogun Only and one Velvet Moon will get only GreenHouse Bio I hope it's not to confusing to follow!! I can be quite confusing sometimes, I get my days muddled up because I have lots going on at different times. That will be better with time. Hey! it was my PH pen all out of battery and being really slow. I gave it a clean & put fresh battery's in and things are slowly getting better. i find aswel that even if they look a bit yellow in veg they soon go green in flower, I think I give too much nitrogen. Streetstrainsuk Posted February 13, 2022 Author Share Posted February 13, 2022 📅 VEG • WEEK 3 VELVET MOON • WEEK 5 HOLY SNOW • turns out my plants were suffering from light stress! the light was way to strong so I've changed things up and put a lower wattage led in there with a heat mat both set on 18 on 6 off & things have got a lot greener. im quite excited that I have two completely different holy snow phenotypes, you can see one is clearly indica and the other is seriously sativa! my husband said we have two sides of the same coin goin on here! and I loved that statement so I had to share it with you 💚 the Velvet moon are coming on just beautiful too. I'm really pleased with how the roots are looking here We have been using a new product for the last 4 weeks called ... Psycho Myco It uses a cutting edge formula containing different species of mycorrhizal fungi, beneficial bacteria and Trichoderma, all in one bottle. And it's AMAZING I recommend this product to anyone who home grows, you will see a noticeable surge at around week 2 and your pots will start drying back lovely and fast and need another good feed 24-48 hours later in the little 1 litre vegging pots. Streetstrainsuk Posted April 17, 2022 Author Share Posted April 17, 2022 I messed up BIG time AGAIN 🤯 I had a light leak issue that i caught when it was already too late for one of the Holy Snows 😓 Utter devastation for me as she was the biggest and best looking of them all, But she had to go, and she got the chop. She had started to herm but I caught it and the others seem fine. I have used so much gaffer tape!! it's all good for now but I need to make some changes soon. They will have another round of booster this week, Next week they get the finisher to stimulate that last resin push before they get put on a starvation cycle.
