veg lites for auto's?

should i use a flourescent or a metal halide fof the first couple of weeks at 20 on 4 off or just strictly use hps only?

for the first couple of weeks i would use a cool light to let the babies gradualy get used to it, then build up the intensity once they are a bit stronger and more developed

im not such an expert on autos but for all plants i would say get them used to it first

if the light is a good distance away from the girls then it may be different but i would keep it cool and low to begin with then higher intensity light at further distance

hopefully an auto grower can tell you their experience

I've been growing autos for over a year now. I start them under mixed bulb HO T5 floros. For a long time I started and finished them under the T5s.

They don't grow tall, they go to flower in about 3 weeks, and are butt simple. I wouldn't use HID until budding. I now bud under LED and they are phat and tight!
