Cannabis Pests - Introduction and description

You want prevention, maybe put honey at the base of your stem so the mjtes can't come up? No actually, fuck honey because any substance that would be non glucose based would be better for your plant along the stemj and anywhere else. These plants make their own glucose and you don't need extra unless you want unwanted micro organisms to germinate. What sticky compound do you think that would be? & please let's stop talking about honey for growing stuff besides germinating spores for mycelium..A friend had an Idea about putting tape around the stem but having the non sticky side around the base of the stem. I don't know about the tape it would have to be tight around and would pinch the stem as it grows. What do you think?

Tape would work nicely as long as you replaced it every 3 days. The only prob with tape is the moisture it will trap under it, it could be the start of a whole host of new problems like collar rot.

What about vegetable gum? Don't know how long it would stay sticky or even if it would work. Or you could make some basic glue from flower and water but you would have to wash it off and replace every day or so because it would dry out.

Just a thought.

A natural way to prevent fungal nats is ground Cinnamon, its cheap and prob in your pantry.

They hate the stuff they wont go near it. Sprinkle over the surface of the grow medium and from my experience it doesn't adversely effect the plant in any way.

It wont help much if you already have an infestation, but it will make the adults flee the grow room and then you just need to address the eggs and larvae with neem oil.

Air/Water Permeable non-woven adhesive tape.  Ones that stretch like parafilm so you don't need to change it.

Insects are sometimes very harmful, both to us and our plants. It is therefore better to contact the pest control professionals like pest control folsom ca know how to identify species and determine the pesticides that would be most effective in treating those specific species of pests. They know at what frequency treatments are required to eliminate chances of re-infestation.
