i'm using this shit right now and i'm totally disapointed.... next grow i'll buy something bigger cuz those 360 m3/h are totally not enough and the damn thing is working constantly on his fastest mode... and its sooo noisy..... this fan is suitable for no more than 1m x 1m grow room!

What are you trying to make the little 125 ctrl cope with ?

how big is the room n how many lamps you running ?

It sounds like you were ill advised in the grow shop dude !

the 160ct can move a much greater Volume 420/680m³/h,,,,,,,,,,,

And as you say the 125ctrl is designed with tents and small rooms in mind ,,

my room is 2m x 2m with 2 600W hps in with 2 cooltube reflectors and i still have trouble with evacuating the hot air from the lamps.... the damn thing works so noisy!

Hey Darkhaze,,

I can see why your suffering !

And understand why your hating your PK,,

The PK 125 CT is a designed for single lamp applications,,

It's never gonna cope with two 600's bro

The guys in the gow shop shoulda pointed you at the RVK 150 or a PK 160 CT,

Either are more suited to your needs,,

Would your grow shop upgrade or exchange it for a more suitable option ?

As far as noise,,

Mine is ok and no worse than any other rvk or similar I've owned,,

You can't move that much air without some noise,,

The fan speed controller rumbles a bit at low idle speeds,,

I have a noisy garden at the best of times so it's no stress for me,,

indeed turtle... my next grow i will bet on 735 m3/h fan i think it will do the job and will be less noisier

Hey dude,,

The 735 m3/h will definatley be better suited to your set up,,

If you want quiet though you'r gonna need to go down the acoustic route,, (EXPENSIVE)

Cheaper option would be your 735 with an inline silencer and plenty acoustic duct,,

Hey there Darkhaze,,

If you are after silent running you will have to by an acoustic fan,,

It just means the extractor is in a soundproof case,,

there are plenty of manufacturers out there but silence aint cheap,,

Soler & palau , Ruck and a whole heap of budget brands,,

Expect to pay £ 250-350 for what you need,,

BUT !

There is a post in this very forum,,(Somewhere)

It tells you how to convert a "cooler box" into an acoustic fan case,,

This will work and is cheap !

I would still recomend a silencer after the fan and acoustic duct throughout,,
