Optimum Trich production...What light combination?

7 posts in this topic

Hi guys, :bye:

I was just wondering what mixtures of light (or light bulbs) are best for ultimate trichrome production. I know a 600w HPS on its own is fine but is there any other light i could supplement the flowering stage with for optimum results?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated, thanks :D

Supplement with a cfl,mh or led , they will love the full spectrum of light.

Or use molasses.

Molasses? You mean Treacle? As a nutrient? :pilot:

"Molasses is a viscous by-product of the processing of sugar cane, grapes or sugar beets into sugar" , you can also use honey, will help increase trichome production ;)

About a teaspoon per litre when in flowering.

I think UVB lights also help the amount of trichome production to increase, as the level of cannabinoids too i think. check for more precise info if you're interested ;)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
