Super Lemon Haze Coco Grow

Hi folks, thought id start a journal on Ms S L Haze :D Think I'm in love.....

Pz4aKl.jpg

She's in an 11ltr pot with 60/40 coco/perlite mix and hydraton clay pebbles at the bottom for quick drainage.

600w dual spec Sunmaster

Floranova grow but recently changing to Sensi Grow A+B

Nitrozyme (weekly)

Rhizotonic (transplanting)

She's a month old from seed, I FIM'd her a week ago and went off for the weekend. The temp went down during the night and coupled with some salt build up her top fan leaves were really arched between the veins when I got home. She has just recovered and is back on track with some nice lower growth. All in all she has a beautiful phenotype and if all goes well I may take some cuttings off her before flowering. I think the heat stress has put me off keeping her for mothering, what do you think? Can a night or two of 15*c and some salt build up affect her THAT much? or could she still come out a viable mother? :)

I don't know if the heat stress would be a problem for taking a clone, i'm not a clone grower and cutter so can't really help ^^ But if it was me i would have taken the clone anyway, and i might would have mistaken lol

Beside that, that girl looks nice for sharing it with us, i hope we'll see many more updates ;)

I move your thread to Growjournal section which is appropriate, the indoor growing is for all indoor growing questions ;)

Have a good grow man

Of course, there's a grow journal thread! lol. Sorry :P

Have to wait a few more weeks for cutting time. She has to be at least 2 months old before her cuttings will root well. Just hope she don't get too big, lol :D FIMing should keep her at bay. Lower growth seems to be more vigorous at the moment :)

Just an update biggrin.png

DqzfIl.jpg

She's doing great, heat stress and salt build ups are old news. Top and side growth are exploding, she's overtaking my other ladies. Recently found out that your plant doesn't have to be 2 months old before cloning, 4-6 weeks is ok to start taking those little girls. So glad because if I veg for another three weeks the end size would have been monstrous. She's growing at about 2cm a day so about 6in a week. In three weeks she'll be a foot and a half bigger and only in an 11ltr pot so not sure how flowering would go like that. If a plant becomes almost rootbound before flowering will it stunt yield and potency? Common sense tells me...yes. Although roots aren't meant to grow much during flowering right? Franco and Arjans seem to explode! Anyone know? smile.png

Forgot to say, id rather not transplant again into a larger container. I never like exposing her roots. If she'll benefit from it through yield and potency then i cant argue, what do you think i should do with her? Should I put her to flower in a few days in her existing pot or should I transplant into a larger pot, wait a week, and then flower? :)

Hi guys, just a quick update :)

First of all I'd like to apologize for the barrage of questions previously on this thread. I realise that most of you are here to ask the questions not get them thrown at you. That being said I put it down to noob nerves on my part and possibly the half oz of Amnesia Haze id been smoking at the time, lol :D

Anyway....on with grow! :)

The SLH is doing great, she has been put to flower without transplanting. 11ltrs should be plenty. What I can say is that a retarded white widow cross I transplanted 3 days before flowering has taken off vertically. It's sprouted 20cm in a week! Light is close enough so not stretching for lumens anyway I think she's just loved that transplant timing.

Super lemon haze has went sideways, a real bush. Responded well to the voodoo juice and sensi bloom. She has these sativa leaves all around, budding sites have a very hazey smell already :). Will update with a photo soon.

Take it easy folks :D

Forgot to say that I'm feeding her big bud and bud candy from the Advanced Nutrients range. Tis good stuff. Big bud not till next week but should make a huge difference to final harvest. Bud candy is expensive but worth getting just to see :) it's meant to give it a better taste and also help it cure better. Can't argue with that so I'm giving it a go :D

No probs Tokage, I'll be updating rain or shine. Whatever happens to this girl you guys will get the heads up. I only had 1 SLH seed and she looks like a good'n. Since this is her home on this forum it's only fair that I share it with our strain hunter family :)

Having trouble with light leaks in the first few days. It's incredibly tiny amounts though. Takes a good 5-10mins to even realize there's a slight issue. I made the mistake of thinking that black and white sheeting wouldn't let light through, it does. After doubling up I've realized I need more! I've given it a bit of thought and I'm gonna get some green tarpaulin from my local DIY store and reinforce with that. Any light leaks will be green therefore photoperiod is unaffected. Bearing in mind these leaks I'm talking about are so minimal they shouldn't affect the plants. There's different theories on the subject. That being said I don't want to leave anything to chance, its pitch black or go back :)

G :D

Not quite bud porn yet but she'll get there. This is her in the bath, lol ;)

Day 3 of flowering.....

b5iOhl.jpg

Will obviously be better in a few weeks so no close ups yet :)

She's 18in tall at the moment, I haven't measured but I imagine she's wider than 18in after the FIM'ing :) gonna have to tame those colas once she gets going. Will need a lot of shoulder room. Will do a picture update in a week or so :)

Thanks guys, like I said....I'm in love :D

Hey dust, I read on the SLH LST thread that you got one in flower also? How's she going? You far in? :) what nutes and medium you use? My girls are needing some mag additives, would like to get this sorted quick. I'm sure I read somewhere that bud candy has magnesium sulphate in it. Away to pick up a bottle today so will find out. I may not need the epsom salts 3 weeks in :D

She's doing fine on the end turning yellow and smelling awesome!!

I've grown her in soil using the powder feeding from Greenhouse and Greensensation few weeks during the bloom.

Gotta say the Powder feeding is so far the perfect solution for me, more and more of my friends wanna use it too now when they look at my girls ;)

I don't know about the bud candy but i'm sure you'll find the ingredients list somewhere on the net :)

Get that girl sticky yiki!! :)

Just an update on my SLH. Day 18 of flowering.

Have to report some claw curling on the top fan leaves. Been really pushing her to try and achieve maximum nutes. She took 1.4EC well but the week after I upped her to 1.6EC and was a bit too much for the old girl. Thankfully just before it was time to flush on day 16. Because she couldn't quite take the 1.8Ec I can't really flush with 1.3Ec. Instead I flushed with 1.0Ec and will come back once she's dried up with 1.5Ec. I'm using coco/perlite with an 11ltr pot so will only take about 3 days to dry out. Coco doesn't like to dry out fully so will keep an eye on the weight of the pot.

I'm using Advanced nutrients line up with sensi bloom, big bud, b-52, bud candy. Used voodoo juice in the first few weeks. I've just been following a 2-1 ratio on base nutes and bloomers until I achieve the desired Ec. Don't know what's up with their calculator on their website, plants would have died without this Blulab truncheon. This leaf curling (clawing) has set her back a few days but will get back on track.

Having problems with humidity at night. Away to get a dehumidifier today. It's been hitting 90%!! God I'm lucky there's no mold yet (none that I can see). This high humidity is preventing optimum trich production. Doesnt seem to bother my WW though she is crystally. Room is at 60% during the day. Can't help thinking they'd look better if it was 45%. Dehumidifier - today :)

Been running the room without extractor fan, just a fan blowing air in and one blowing air around. Open the door during the day and it's fine. Will get a ventilation setup in a week when my loan comes in :) until then - dehumidifier :)

Anyway that's my ramble, damn this Amnesia haze is good :)

Thanks dudes, really appreciate the comments :)

Well now I've got my humidity down she is producing quite a few trichs ;)

I LST'd her and she has lots of crystally secondary buds below the main colas. Will have to take a full frontal of her for you guys to see. Was waiting for this curl on the very top fan leaves to go before I can take a pretty pic but she's taking her time to rid them. Not any browning, just dark green claws :) Will take her out to the bathroom for a photo shoot tomorrow and post some pics for you ;)

Take care, G :)

Stepped up the nutes a bit too far too quick, went from 1.4ec to 1.6ec and she had the claw the next day :(

It is slowly going away so hence the 'not to worry' comment :) ...........

...........I'm still worried, lol :O

There has been a smell of haze and sugary goodness since week 4 of veg, I've been basking in her scent for some time :)
