Day 44:

Hey Guys & Girls, hope you are all well and your girls are growing.

Pistils starting to appear all over now but I was not feeding corrctly when I added Bloombastic !!!

It should be half to one ml per liter, I was putting just 3-5 ml in 10 liters of water so today I corrected it and gave them another watering of just Bloombastic and Rhizotonic pH6.7 and EC .80

Here's the pics.

They finally getting somewhere .. nice green, strong plants - the NL Autos are indeed a bit on the tall-ish site, so that shows- The results from the LED are decent , still the stretching in the early state still has left it's trace on the grow. That of course is a minor issue - at a certain point they stop getting taller anyw and produce more buds instead. Nice one - how much LED's are you using exactly.

These girls look really healthy btw. Respect !

Keep the updates coming and I will follow.

Peace + Grow

Hey Guys, it was Under feed not Over feed, I was running at about half strength on Bloombastic.

Hope they don't stretch much more only got about another 10-15 cms to raise the lights, can always bend them.

My LED are two panels 120 watts each, one is quadband the other triband.

Quadband I bought new for about £180 the other triband I bought secondhand off guy on Ebay £50 said he'd used for one crop only.

I get fair results in such a small space I think if space were no problem I'd get even better with same two panels.

Hey Guys & Girls, just a couple of pics I took with webcam, first one yesterday about 2pm second one this morning 9am you can see just how much they grew after their feed, less than 24 hrs and 8hrs of it was darkness.

Hey Ripster, I've actually got these on 17/7, lol

No never done 20/4 as I read on several sites on several strains that they had to knock the light down to make them flower, I know that shouldn't happen but it did according to the posts.

Here's some more pics in sequence with those above all taken over 48hr period, I've moved the camera now so end of that particular time lapse.

I do think the Auto NL did have trouble autoing... But as far as other strains go, 20/4 is the best light schedule. From seed to harvest.... With 6500k straight through....

Try putting them on 20/4. You'll see much bigger plants and way more bud at harvest... Even now....

Auto's are not anything like photo's.... They have their own characteristics and flowering is there big one... Along with long light days at 6500k....

what you call way more buds? what's your average yeild with 20/4 on autos?

to be honnest i'm not interested at those cycle at all for autos or regular. I already find the elctricity bill expensive enough, and i keep seeing bigger and bigger light cycle everywhere lolol ^^

For the moment i'm sticking on 12/12 from seed and it does wonderful on every plant, cost less and is faster ;)

Cheers guys

I've never gotten anything less than 65 grams, dried and cured. But I usually pull around 80 grams per plant.... My best was 159 grams from a Dutch Passion AutoMazar...

The extra light bill is cut down big time when using T5-HO or LED. If your were running auto's with HID, then I might recommend a light schedule of 18/6 but nothing less...

I've tried auto's on 12/12 with my photo's and they sucked. And, they were known strains to me.... I will say this though. With auto's, it all depends on the rudy geological location from which it was breed from. A rudy cross from Canada will act a bit different than a rudy cross from Mexico...

But still, 20/4 is the absolute prime light schedule for all true auto's....

ok pretty nice yeild ^^ But yeah like you said auto's are very diferent from one to another and i know Dutch Passion are known to have pretty vigorous auto's :)

And how long does it takes with that 20/4 cycle?

First off, I want to say sorry to toaor for hijacking this thread... But I also believe the info discussed here will help your grow produce more bud...

On average, sprout to finish in 7/8 weeks...

I think I know where your going with this... But look at it this way. Photo's need 30 days veg time, then whatever flowering time they need, another 7/9 weeks... Yeah, your only saving 30 days. But over a years time that's an extra grow or two.... Auto's aren't for dealers... There for us daily smokers that don't need pounds of weed... Plus, all you need is a Good T-5 HO fixture and your growing....

Most people say you can't clone auto's. Well, I know for a fact that you can. Just thought I'd throw that little tidbit out there.

But Auto's, for the most part, grow on their own. I mean no changing light schedule, one dose of veg. nutes prior to switching to flowering nutes, way more manageable as far as height too. I think that's the big attraction to them. Size... Micro grows... Smaller, cheaper equipment also...

I probably opened up more questions than answers... So shoot..., But Dust, I don't want to make anyone mad. So if this is ok with toaor, then ok.... But if not, shut me down.... We could discuss this elsewhere if you'd like? Up to you guys!!!

Great discussion and thanks!!!

Hey Toaor. :)

As you know always an avid follower of your grows, especially as your the LED man round these parts.

I realise that you only got camera phone, but could we see some pic just after lights out?

I really want to see the plants and i realise your camera phone can't deal with the psychedelic light of LED.

Peace

Lams

Hey Guys, no problem discussing these things, it all helps when we get other opinions.

I'll take them out of tent and photo them, they're pretty big now so had to bend the tops of two or three.

I've bought regular photoperiod seeds for next grow Riyal Queen - 5 x OG Kush, 5 x Critical, 5 x White Widow, 1 x Fruit Spirit. Only growing 8 so have to decide the combination probably going to go for 4 x OG Kush and 4 x Critical and save White Widow maybe for greenhouse grow next year.

Be back with pics soon.

Day 55:

Hey Guys & Girls, hope you are all well and have smoke.

NL autos are all still progressing nicely not as well as I would like but no major problems to report, slight bit of leaf curling and tip burning, I think from the two doses in a row of Bloombastic at full strength.

As you can see from the pics below the Royal Queens are totally different to the GHSC NLs, they are also different from each other with a small, medium and large (Not that large actually) and they are way behind the GHSC in terms of flowering only one is really showing any buds, the other two just pistils here and there.

I planted these in hope they'd be ready for Xmas but not sure they will be at this rate.

I started off my next grow seeds too 5 x Critical and 1 x Fruit Spirit, only going for six plants in tent this time round and they are regular photoperiod not autos, they will be going in my 3L Air Pots and should have more room to grow, seeing if I can get more yield off less plants with more room.

Am also thinking of getting another tent to put up in loft so I can have seeds/clones/mother in one and then a bloom going on in the other tent at same time.

I need to measure but I think I can get away with a tent D60cm x W120cm x H150cm, which then means I can fit a Wilma 8 system in it but my concern is temperatures, the loft gets cold during winter, stays above freezing but still can get down to 3c so would probably have to put a heater in tent as well or maybe the lights would keep it warm enough without a fan on extracting all the time, need to experiment.

Anyway that's the next grow, here's the pics from this one without the psychedelic pink glow.

Have a great week people.

These NL Autos do take a lot of time, man. Wise decision to grow Photos next time. . Done with autos indoors ! Esp. mixed with photos they make no sense imo.

Wish you the best with the girls, should be ready for christmas man - don't worry bout that.. Curing might take a bit longer thou...

Day 80 I think.

Hi Guys & Girls, well its getting near to harvest time thank god, these seem to have taken forever and I'm not impressed with this grow.

I'll be harvesting next week 18th so as they are dried in time for Christmas but all up I reckon no more than half ounce per plant.

They're also drying out a bit at the top where the fans from LED panels are blowing out warm air on to the buds, I had same problem last year an dit ruined three crops in the last weeks, this isn't as bad but still not good, not enough height to keep lights away from tops.

Here's today's pics.

hey man, thanks for the news!! :) Too bad to hear about the heat problem with the fans i hope it won't ruin anythign this time!!

I've been following a few of your grows now and it seem you often have that bud size problem with those panel, even thos they look great and happy most of the time not saying your doing it wrong of course!!

Did you think about doing a SCROG? i think it would be the best solution for you, allowing a very short light penetration which i think would suit your led and setup ;)

Was just thinking i could say this to you as i was thinking about it while looking at your pics hope you don't take it bad ;)

Beside my stoner thinking lol, thanks for the pics hope you'll have a nice christmas with them ;)

Cheers have a good end of grow
