Hey Guys & Girls, time for another of my journals on GHSC test seeds 5 x NL Autos sent courtesy of Franco, this will be an interesting grow as I also have 3 x NL Autos from Royal Queen Seeds.

I put them in an overnight soak of Water and Canna Rhizotonic pH 6.5 on Tues 19th Sept, popped them into Root It germination cubes on 20th and they were all up by Sunday, some were a couple of days before but I'm counting Day 1 as Sunday 23rd.

All 8 seeds came up but one of the GH seeds came up with no leaves and then just fell over, I tired to save but no she is gone, RIP, that leaves me with 7 total, 3 x Royal Queen, 4 x GHSC.

I also have one NL Auto from Royal Queen, which was actually planted up 9 weeks ago but it was tiny seedling and did nothing for weeks in greenhouse, it then started to flower so I brought in to tent.

Here's some pics of them on Day 2

They are in Kilomix soil at present but I will be switching to standard soil from DIY store, I want to see if there is much difference between the two as Kilomix is about 4 x the price of DIY soil for 20 liters more too.

My grow tent is 60cm x 60cm x 140cm and I will be using two 120 watt LED panels, one is quad band the other is triband, I'll be feeding GHSC Indica Powder with added Canna Rhizotonic for the roots and when flowering Atami Bloombastic for extra PK.

That's it for now, I hope you enjoy the journey with me.

Nice man, will check in from time to time. Very interested how your NL autos are doing, mine are getting very close and the 2 remaining sem to be big yielders, but again - with 12/12 these Autos are same tempo as a regular strain. One was about 10 days ahead with the flowering, reaped her already - nice smoke disappointing yield - premature I guess - all in all around 15 grams of real good buds. The others look like they will give me more than double of that...anyway will be interesting to see how Greenhouse will compare to the Royal strain.

The fallen soldier looks as if it could make it with a stick boud to it. The leaves are there, just not open.

But you will know better than judging from a picture.

Good luck, bro

Good luck man keep us updated

Have a good grow

Day 10:

Hey Guys & Girls, just a quick update with pics.

Not fed them anything yet just plain tap water with Canna Rhizotonic 4ml to 1liter sprayed on growing medium upto four times a day but generally just once or twice, will repot into 20cms pots next week, just waiting for two Creamatics to finsih so I have the room for all the new plants.

The three Royal Queen seeds are very different to the GHSC seeds even though they are both NL autos, Royal Queen seem much smaller and smaller leaves than GH version, this will be very interesting to see the differences as they progress.

That's it for now.

Day 12:

Hey Guys & Girls,

Thought I'd better repot them as they are entering 2 wks old now so will start the flowering process fairly soon, hence wanting them in the right pots from the start.

Simple mix of two handlfuls of compost with one handful of perlite just standard DIY store bought stuff, as I want to see if there is any major difference to the B'cuz Kilomix I've been using, it's much cheaper.

The three plants in line in middle are the Royal Queen and the two pots either side are the Green House seeds, they have two 120 watt LED panels as light, one quad band the other triband.

Temperature around 25-27c

Humidity 50-70%

Ph 6.7

EC 0.47

Canna Rhizotonic

GHSC Indica Powder (Not used yet will start feeding next week light solution of nutes)

Here's the pics.

Day 17:

Hi Guys & Girls, time for another little update with pics.

After transplanting into bigger pots last Thursday thought it time to give them a fist light feed of GHSC Indica Powder but only to an EC 1.03, will see how they react and then up it over time, next feed is plain water with Canna Rhizotonic for the root system, pH 6.6

That's it not a lot to report so far but they're all doing fine, Royal Queen one's are still remaining smaller than GHSC plants.

All the best

Four plants at back are GHSC, three at front Royal Queen

  • 2 weeks later...

Day 30:

Hey Guys & Girls, time for another of my updates and apologies for not putting one up last week been a bit busy.

As you can see from the pics they have grown a fair bit since last report, the three Royal Queens are remaining smaller than the GHSC strains of the same plant.

Gave them feed last week of GHSC Indica powder.

EC: 1.3

pH 6.6

Humidity 45-55% Lights On

Humidity 55-90% Lights Off

Temps 25-27c Lights On

Temps 21-23c Lights Off

They're just about starting to show the tiniest of pistils so I guess they've started the flowering process so next feed will add in some Atami Bloombastic.

Here's the pics taken today.

Nice grow so far... Kinda impressed with how they're supporting themselves since they started out stretched... Can I ask you how far you kept the LED's from the tops of the plants? I use an 8 bulb HO fluorescent T-5 fixture and am able to keep the light within 5'' at all times... Makes for stronger plants...

Can't wait to see um finish up. Good job... :fan:

Hey Ripsterafn, when they first under light it was about a foot away from tops due to length of chains now they are about 3" away and will be for rest of grow.

Tokage, haha thanks for accepting my apology bud, lol and yeah temps and humidity are all down to not having fan on in tent at all just put extractor on every now and then but even if I don't put it on at all it doesn't get too hot, extractor does take away humidity though so I keep it off most of the time and things are now just about perfect.

All the best guys

Hey Lambread, you decided to join the Revolution, power to the Diodes (I know you will get the connection if you don't you are too young!)

What you getting?

I want new bigger LEDs but for now sticking with what I got till can afford big thing 300-500watts my lights are nearly two years old now but being LED shouldn't have lost any of their brightness, my friend replaces his HID every 9 months because they lose so much brightness, he checks it with photographers light meter when they are new and checks again every crop before the next one.

Peace y'ole

You know i have been wanting to for ages lol

Narrowed it down to 2 different lights.

Elitegrow "Pro 200" with diamond lens, or Green lights led - Budzilla with intergrated array

Elitegrow - http://www.elitegrow.co.uk/

Greenlights led - http://www.greenligh...dgrowlights.htm

General rule of thumb LED grow lights is 50,000 hour lifetime withs a loss of 30% of light intensity.

So your lights should be good to grow for qite a while.

The thing is LED grow light tech is advancing so fast we/people want the light that will give the best yeilds, I will be interested to know which light you will choose.

I am currently trying to compile a comparision chart for as many LED light as i can and will post it as soon as i can might take a little while there a lot of specs to get.

"power to the diodes" only reference i can think of is "Citizen Smith" , now thats showing my age lol :D

Gonna be sure to follow your grow as always

Peace bro

Hey Lamsbread, yes you are old, lol

Those two lights look lovely, like the look Budzilla concentrated four spots of diodes.

They quote coverage areas but not at what height above plants?

Have a great weekend bud.

Yeah i like budzilla but have just this moment bought an "Elitegrow Pro 200W" I am now officially in the LED club WOOO HOOO :D

Budzilla is made buy (*i think) "VANQ" - http://www.vanqled.com/ledgrowlight/index_xx.asp?id=465 you would Probably get a better price importing from china, either way i think this the way LED is gonna go and next few months more resellers wil stock them and price will be better.

For how high budzilla should be hung check the VANQ web site they have diagrams etc.

wish you a great weekend

Peace

Lams
