Hello, hunters!!!

I'm finally sitting down to write my first journal… my experience growing is not big at all, but i've been learning lots with the forum, so the minimum i can do is to write down my experiences... My idea is to grow the seeds and make them mothers big enough to make clones… and those clones will be flowered…

At first, i was only gonna grow 2 strains, but i decided to do 4 different ones… so they ended up being germinated in different times… not much, but they might have 3 or 4 days of difference in their birth. Well, they are GHSC: King's Kush, Cheese, Damn Sour and Lemon Skunk.

Gear:

I have 2 rooms, one for veg and other for flowering:

- Flower Room - 1m x 1m x 2m tent, with 400W HPS on a cool sun reflector, and another 125W CFL to give it a boost.

- Veg Room - about a 1m2, with a 250W CFL on a cool tube reflector, and 2 x 45W yellow CFL.

Soil:

I'm using a sunshine and perlite mix, with some castor oil plant pie and humus.

Nutes:

I have a little bit of lots of different nutes and brands. i'm still figuring out what's the best formula for me, but also I'm waiting on a friend to come back from Amsterdam with some PowerFeedings,, the hybrid one. At some point that's gonna be my main fert. My tap water PH is 7 and EC 0.0125, and i use General Hydroponics PH Up and Down to correct the PH. Here goes a list of what's in my hand atm:

- Advanced Nutrients: Iguana Juice ( Grow + Bloom )

- Advanced Nutrients: Voodoo Juice

- Advanced Nutrients: B-52's

- Advanced Nutrients: Nirvana

- Advanced Nutrients: Big Bud

- Advanced Nutrients: Bud Candy

- Advanced Nutrients: Overdrive

- Advanced Nutrients: Final Phase

- Foxfarm: Cha Ching

- Foxfarm: Open Sesame

- Foxfarm: Grow Big

- Biobizz: Alg-a-Mic

Light Cycle:

I read the post that Fuzzy did about the advanced light cycle and it really interested me… so i'm following and testing that cycle.. On vegetative stage, the light's will be on for 12 hours, off for 5.5 hours, on again for another 1 hour, and off for the remaining 5.5 hours. That's 13 hours ON, and 11 OFF. For the flowering stage, they will be 11 ON and 13 OFF, for the first 2 weeks, and i'll be reducing the time they'll be ON every 2 weeks, by 30 minutes. The link for Fuzzy's post is:

Cloning:

The first time i tried to clone with a bubbler that i built that didn't work out… so i decided to try to build an aeroponic cloner, like those store built EZ-Cloner. All i needed was a tote, a few pipes, a pump, some sprayers and a pool noodle. Oh, and water too. :D Here are some pics, and if anyone needs help building one, just let me know.

I would also like to thank all the users and new friends i made in this forum, that has been helping me along… thanks guys!

Growing:

So, i started germinating first the king's kush and jack herer, but the jack herer never really opened... after 4 days i germinated the cheese and damn sour... that's when the jack died so i germinated the lemon skunk at last... so they are approximately at day 27 today. I'm giving them a 5.7 PH water.

King's Kush.. day 5

Overview

This is my grow room... where the seedlings are and the other plants i have vegging, and they are NYC Diesel and Super Skunk, which are also being cloned in the bottom..

I had a bit problem with the king's kush in the beginning.. i guess it was stunned by overfeeding water?

thanks brother.. i'll be paying attention to the use of nutes... that's a list that i have... i'm using the iguana juice grow and bloom as the base nutrients...

btw, what's the EC i should have at this stage? I haven't fed them with nutes yet, i guess i will soon tho...

i had a slight change of plans... the cuts that were rooting had really long roots already, so i decided to transplant 6 of them... i did 12 in total, so 50% had full big development of roots, and i guess the other 50% had really small development or none... discussing this with HC01, i got the conclusion that the ones that rooted weren't as old as the ones that didn't...

a couple pics of my grow room now:

that's just what i bought when i bought my gear... i was thinking about having 2 tents in the first place, so i got that... at the end i ended up setting the second space in the bathroom.. and never bothered to get another extractor

maybe i should sell that one and get one more appropriated... which ones are u talking about?

i agree. even at a far end deal I'd say just hanging you HID bulb straight up and down with nothing around it would prolly throw out more light than having it boxed into that lil tube... that way the taller plants would still get sun... on the down side any time ya go into the room ya need a welding shield on or super dark sunglasses... or ya just dont look at it or dont even bother going in while the big HID light is on...... that tube would b great for a tent or small cabinet.. if it had the air lines hooked up like pointed out ealrier :P

looks great though!

Yes Tokage. I was wondering about the reflector aswell.

The big hole on the side is to attach a vent system santa. But a standard reflector would give much more light spread for this room.

guys thanks for the help and attention.... as i told tokage, my initial idea was to have 2 tents... and when i bought the gear, i bought thinking of that... at the end, i didn't buy the tent and used my bathroom, but i had already bought the reflector... maybe i can use a tube splitter and use the same extractor i have for the 2 reflectors... the one in the tent is plugged and have the fan pulling the air out... maybe i can try to change it in the store i bought... actually i wasn't bothered that much cause i didn't know the reflection on the cooltube is so bad....

my other reflector is one of those supernova ones... and it has an inline fan extractor:
