Time for some pics of my lil' ones.

I'm still not an expert with my camera settings, the plants look darker IRL than these ppic which now i see them on screen look a little bit too light.

They all seem to be happy, so not much to say.

I think the pictures speak for them selves.

Until next time brothers and sisters

you have fan directly on them? my first leaves use to do that when i leave the fan on at early stage

Now i just don't put fan during the first weeks of veg and the leaves are loving it ;) Extractor and intractor do the job of moving the air without the fan for this period if you have some ;)

Everything looks nice anyway man this is nothing ^^ keep those nice babies growing and those nice pics coming Stealthmeister ;)

Lamsbread your plants are looking great! And if you want your leafs to get really big just mist them like every 4 days and they will get monster size! I do this because I only grow hydro and the plants never have water on them. So I deiced to test it and see what it would do and it works great. It makes the leafs look for water so they get big so that they can find any drops of water that’s out there. You may already know that since you grow in dirt but thought I would tell you in case you don’t.

Peace

Loving the new set up and that light is obviously good because you have nice short seedlings but with nice fully formed leaves, mine would be double that size for same leaves.

Will be watching this one journal for sure.

All the best

LAMBS !!

GOD DAMN, you were quicker on the LED !!! :fie:

I have never seen anything above 8-Band yet incl. UV and White but more bands may also make more bud...let it grow :fans:

UrbanNinja and me are also looking for some 600-HPS replacement to cut costs in half.

I have to dig into the Nanometers to find out what yours does in addition to the 8-Band league...which also doesnt seem to be a bad choice at all from what we've seen.

Anyway, I am definitly following this one and might get back to you in detail if your LED brand is THE one to get.

Fim

Hey Fim

There are a number of companies out there doing multi spectrum lamps.

http://www.elitegrow.co.uk/ This is where i bought my light

http://www.advancedledlights.com/ A good company in the usa I have posted vids of thier lights in action in the forums

Both these companies sell 11 wavelength lights.

I planned to do a comparisson of all the grow light manufactuers and thier lights, this is a mammoth task and I am just not finding the time.

What i may do instead is do a top ten of lights i would consider buying, this wouldn't take so long, but even then it probably will be in the new year.

Thanks for dropping by and joining the ever growing band of followers who want to see what this light can do.

peace

Hi Toaor :)

Nice to have you along for the journey, it is certainly a pleasure as I have been a long time follower of you LED grows ;)

I wonder to myself how many time I have said to you "I really want to get an LED light", well I eventually did it!

As you mention it does produce nice short internodes, this I thank the Diamond lenses for, they really help focus the light.

Peace brother

A Wikipedia article on photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) informs us that all beneficial photosynthetic wavelenghts exist in the 400-700nm range. Longer wavelenghts do not carry enough energy for the task, while shorter (UV) are so energetic they cause cell damage. Considering EliteGrow lights' utilisation of wavelenghts in the 760-380nm spectrum and their relatively low price makes me very sceptic about their usefulness as grow lights. A while ago I was researching LED horticultural lighting and I came across LumiGrow (using PAR). Their 325w model is at 1500$ and their 650w at 1900$, which is a huge difference with even EliteGrow's top 800w model at 800£ (=1287$). I'm interested to read your thoughts on this.

Great journal and I'm definitely looking forward to any updates you might have, lamsbread. Keep it up and if you can include some info on the temperature and total power draw of your setup, that would be interesting to know too!

Update is a bit late, things are very busy ths time of year.

Photo's were taken on 3/12/12, the girls were 14 days old.

They have been given a weak solution of BioBizz Grow,Maxicrop seeaweed Plant Stimulant,Molasses & a tiny bit of Epsom Salts.

Day time temp 25oC

Night time temp 20oC

Humidity 45%-55%

pots 10cm

Heated progator tray

Thermostatic fan heater hasd been added now it is getting colder.

Here's the pictures, there are quite a lot of them. I was trying different settings on my camera to see how they would differ.

@ Lebenzeichen :D & FIM :D, Thanks for your comments & for stopping by. Some good questions you asked, maybe you could start a thread about questions you have about LED, i'm trying to try to keep this thread just about my grow journal. I'll be sure to try and answer as much as i can, but December and January are some busy time for my worklife.

@HIGH 4 LIFE :D, miminexus :D, Bam-Bhole :D, Smokeythabear :D & Bigrown :D Thanks for stopping by and your kind words, they are appreciated :D

@Toke, there is always room bro, we squeeze you in somehow ;)

More pictures to come they are nearly 3 weeks old now.

As I have said before they are 12/12 from seed, when i spoke to Dust (who inspired me to try 12/12 from seed) he said it usually takes 3 weeks before the plants are mature enough to actually start flowering.

So anytime soon i am hoping to start seeing some hairs. Dust if you have anything to add please do. ;)

See you all soon and thanks for the good vibes ;D

Peace brothers
