Here we go!!! First scrog ever!

Hello everyone!

I promised that i will inform you about my first try to scrog some plants, so here i am.

with the infos i got from lamsbread ( see here )

and other sources of information i think i have enough info to start this.

first the setup:

Growbox S silver (80x80x160)

MH 250W for vegi and HPS 250W for bloom both in a cool tube

4 pots with 9.5L

medium is soil ( biocanna)

i fertilize with the biocanna produkts ( cause i prefer the bio way of growing)

here i must make the confession that my plants are not form greenhouse seeds, but they will next time.

let me introduce to you the wonderfull HEAVEN (it`s a rare plant from switzerland, when somebody wants more info just pm)

they are now in the 4th week of growth. sorry for no pictures before.

i will continue my report and post every week or two.

they wrote about the HEAVEN :

Probably one of the oldest genetics and also one of the best is the Heaven . There used to be this strain in regular seed form. But 2002/2003 the original parents were confiscated by the authorities, since that time, there is the strain only in clone form only. Some breeder still selling "Heaven" seeds, but you should be aware that these are either very very old seeds or were produced by breeding and genetics new F2 seeds. The original Heaven is unfortunately only available as a clone.

More than once, these genetics on the podium of "Canna Swiss Cup", which was held until well into 2003. As a breeder is Felix Kautz Owls seeds, has refined the Heaven in the Ossinger cooperative nursery and improved. Heaven is an old Afghani genetics into an unknown variety was crossed. Outdoor she matures to late September / early October. Indoor, you should allow 60-65 days flowering.

But not only the income and Budstruktur Indica are similar, even the taste and aroma comes after a very sweet, slightly haschigen Afghani genetics. Truly one of the best Swiss cutting varieties that you can now find every now and then."

Plants are looking sweet. The SCROG thou is a bit different from what I jave seen so far. Most people wait till the plants are a bit taller, then use a rubber net and put up all of the leaves in a plastic folie and stick that throu the holes and attach some stems to the rubber next to the holes. But I think this way it will work out somehow, too.

I will watch this since i want to grow a plant with a SCROG one day as well. I always grow too many for a SCROG. 1 would fill out the tent you got better than 4 and it will be easier to water and flush her than dealing with 4 pots - but that's up to you.

hello everyone

time for a update

my girls reached the net.

now i will try to get an even cannopy.

they grow a little bit slow but they are so healthy like no cuttling i had before.

such rich green, hmmmm i love it.

and they got a new friend, mister Drosera capensis (Cape sundew)

yes because i had some problems with Sciaridaes.

i know this is no solution, so i added these yellow plates where the flys stick.

also i put nematodes in the water to get the young ones.

the plant is just there because i already had it and she eats the flys to, so in there and bon appetit.

Next Update

as you can see, now they have an even cannopy and i send them into flowering.

will keep it even for another week, then i let them be.

next time i will pour them with biocanna flores and boost.

then, when the time comes, i will add pk13/14 for 1 week ( i tried last time - awesome)

i hope that all the work and more time it took to get them to this stage, will give me a greater yield.

can´t wait to see the buds growing and how many there will be.

look at these, best plant i had so far ( thought its my 3rd grow indoor ever )

as you can see they look great.

i tried what tokage said and cut the branches of one plant under the net.

on the others i want to see what happens.

to the leaves, i only cut when they throw shadows on the new tops, if possible i only bend them.

now is the 1st week of bloom

yes tokage's advice is right, in most of the SCROG you will see the part under the net is most of the time trimmed clean

i´m back with new pics.

we are now in the end of the 2nd week of bloom.

one question: should i cut more leaf´s or is it too late and i shouldn´t do it?

i mean so that every top gets enough light.

hey man girls are looking great, they have filled the net perfectly should give you some nice flower tops

About the leaves you cleaned under the net already? For the leaves above the net i think for the moment you can let them, train them if they block too much light by pulling them, and when flowering will be more advanced you can take away some of the bigger leaves. But i ain't SCROG expert ^^

my girls look pretty good, buds are growing everywere.

i´m excited to see how big they will get.

one picture i call the bud twins cause they look as they want to grow big together

on the other one( were my finger is on the picture too ) you can see a leave from one plat who has a little nutrien defizid i think.

but i can´t figure what.

some ideas my friends??

Hey man thanks for the news, that scrog is looking very nice Like you said buds are grwing everywhere nicely and should gave some nice buds at the end

Isee your leaf don't know what it could be as the other ones are looking very nice maybe she was just touching the tent or another leaf and got wet.. keep looking if it happens on overs if not i don't think you should worry for the moment

thanks man for the tipps, you´re right i also wanted that they don´t grow so high.

but learning through experience is part of the game i think.

next time will be better.

and you can bet that there will be a next time. scrog is the ideal way of grow for me in my circumstances.

next time i plan to grow 3 Kalashnikova and 1 el nino in scrog.

but with the el nino i´m not sure if i should use her because of the leafs (really big)

maybe i will try some other strain.

or what do you think?

We´re getting closer to HEAVEN

only 3 weeks left, ladys looking great exept one. the one i told you last time.

the leaves are getting more and more yellow. i think its N defizite.

but it´s only that plant, the others looking good.

every one of the has the same conditions, watering, feeding, ect.

but should be ok for the remaining 3 weeks, or what do you think?

could it be that, because they are cuttings from diffrent mother plants.

cause i bought them in a plants shop.

anyway, hope she will make it.
