Ok so it has been 3 months and I decided I should take some cured bud porn from this grow since the stash is getting very small, very fast..in fact what you see is pretty much what is left other than a very small jar of SLH!!

I enjoyed both growing both of these potent strains, and the results. I'm really looking forward to giving them a go again as I think I have a better idea what they like now..possibly next grow in a scrog set-up again but with 2 more plants added for a total of 6 - maybe the 3rd strain will be El Nino from the free seeds courtesy of Greenhouse when I purchased the Big bang auto seeds  Please scroll over the pictures for the names of the plants and enjoy!

Peace

Thanks everyone for taking an interest, it seems like so long ago now already..successive grows seem to do that to the brain!!

PEACE FRIENDS!

Dude, that's some frosty lovely looking smoke you have there smile.png Will be a nice end of stash toke smile.png Good luck with the SCROG, also I fancy growing el nino so be sure to let us see when you do, cheers man wink.png

Thanks Gonzo, my next grow is going to run into the school semester so I won't have as detailed a journal but i will definitely have a condensed journal with pictures of course :) I will try my luck at El Nino and hopefully provide you with some useful info :)

Do you also save your best nugs for last? I think most of us do lol..ya that Kalash is looking primo and should be a nice smoke indeed! I got 2 very different phenos with the Trainwreck, plant#1 with the longer calyxes has a very earthy smell along with pine once ground up. The other pheno was much sweeter and oily almost, the sweetness reminds me of burning antifreeze if you've ever smelled it lol. Not a bad thing :) Thanks for the nice comment bro1

Ohhhhh look at all the TOP SHELF!

Nice brother :)

Be blessed!

Very nice of you to say IG :) There is always much room for improvement though and I hope my next grow will show that. Thanks bro!!

Ya since they are both such different strains with such different effects I can't choose a favourite between the two. For an award winning Sativa the SLH was a nice easy strain to grow and hopefully the next ones will be just as or even more frosty for their 3 month bud porn pics :) Thanks again for everything bro, it is always nice to hear from you :)

Stellar grow brother! SLH and TW are on my next to grow list for sure! You absolutely have mad skills and I will intently follow all of your future grows. One quick question...I am intrigued by your use of LEDs with your HPS. Could you share some info about the LEDs that you use as I want to buy a couple to use with my HPS. Again, Thanks for sharing this beautiful grow and I can't wait for the next one! peace...bongwater

Hello brother! Man thanks for those awesome words of encouragement :) I'm happy if I can help a little cause everyone here was amazing at helping me get started. Just please bro remember..I'm only on my 4th grow now with my auto cup grow and while I'm learning a lot I still make mistakes and made PLENTY in my first 3 grows!! lol..so while I had some decent results please use the journals with caution. My most recent grow so far has been my best I think as far as decisions that were made, info provided, and health of the plants.

About the LED's. When I was planning my first grow I did a ton of reading and read quite a few articles about using LED's to grow since I was first interested in using less electricity and in what the latest lighting technology was, and a lot of what I read at the time said that LED's were improving but were still used best to supplement HID lighting. I won't get into the current technology or debate about it being as good or better than HID because I really haven't had time to keep up on the newest tech. But what I read then, and think I've experienced to a certain degree, is that using them as supplements to HID can get bigger yields, tighter buds, increased resin and terpene formation and potency. I think the mixed spectrum also tends to bring out colors and expression of the pheno that you maybe see more often with sunlight because of it's full spectrum of colours. You can see with the SLH that I grew, as well as in many of Mr. X.'s plants that he grows using LED's, and there are other examples of this on the net.

I've slowly built up to the 4 LED's that I use that are really on the smaller side compared to many out there now, but also were pretty affordable at $125 each right now on sale from the website. The are made by a company from the USA called Sunshine Systems an best thing for me to do is copy and paste the info from their website for ya and give you the link :) The only thing I want to add is that I'm not 100% sure about their claim that they are equivalent to better than 250W HPS, but they are pretty damn good for the price, especially this newer generation of the 45 Model. Luckily I managed to get the hydro store owner to exchange my older models out which had inferior hardware for the newer ones when he got them and man they are waaaay brighter and better! I hope this helps, if you have any questions please ask. Peace bro :) :)

The GlowPanel 45® is arguably the best value in the grow light market today. Showering your plants with the perfect blend of light needed for fast, vigorous growth, the latest version of the GlowPanel 45® is updated with features designed for unsurpassed growing power and flexibility. The GlowPanel 45® runs cool to the touch and will save up to 80% in energy costs over metal halide and HPS grow lights.

The GlowPanel 45 will grow your seedlings, clones and vegetation with astonishing speed. Roots will be thick and vegetation will be lush and green. But it doesn't stop there. You can also grow tomatoes, peppers, medicinal herbs, fruits, flowers and so much more - to harvest.

Providing more than four times the output of the original GlowPanel®, the GlowPanel 45® uses just 28 watts of power and surpasses the output of a 250 Watt HPS - easily providing five square feet of coverage for your garden.

Simple to use. The GlowPanel 45® is a plug and play grow light - it works right out of the box. No additional ballasts or reflectors are needed and the GlowPanel 45 comes complete with its own hanging kit. The hanging kit allows for virtually infinite adjustments. Hang your GlowPanel 45 horizontally, vertically or anywhere in between.

Flexible and Scalable. With our new patent pending, Pass-Thru Power™, GlowPanel 45s can now be linked up to 28 units at a time. This means you can control up to 28 GlowPanel 45s with one timer and use just one outlet. No more extension cords and power strips for multiple units. And the newly added integrated on/off switch allows you to conveniently turn each GlowPanel 45® on and off independent of other linked GlowPanel 45s. Don't need to chain your GlowPanel 45s together? That's ok. You can use the spare outlet on the GlowPanel 45® to power another AC device. (A small fan for example). (note: previous versions of the GlowPanel 45 can link with the new version but it will be the last unit in the chain since earlier versions do not feature Pass-Thru Power)

The GlowPanel 45 is fast becoming the grow light of choice for the budget conscious grower starting an indoor garden or the grower wanting to transition away from metal halide and HPS lamps without sacrificing performance for price. Don't settle for cheap imitations, this is the original GlowPanel 45 that will have your plants rocking!

Thank you so much Smoke! I just ordered auto sweet mango and some easy ryder auto that I will be growing with some lowryder#2 as the SLH was out of stock. I hope to get a couple of the LED 45s if I can afford it before that grow. I am finishing some critical rapido but being my first coco grow, it has been a learning experience and I made plenty of mistakes. I finally have it dialed in(somewhat) at the 5th week so my yield will suffer. This having been only your third grow gives me hope that I have learned enough about coco to do much better on the next one.

Thanks again for sharing this stellar grow and I am grateful for the time you took with your response. Your generosity and skills are remarkable.

Yes Bongwater my friend, let us know how you get on with the combo of LED and HPS like Smokey as it is something i have thought about for a while now :) Also could you please let us know what type and how the heat is with your LEDs, the HPS has unquestionable heat issues but I've heard those LEDs can get quite warm too, would be nice to know how different brands of bulbs work together :) More trichromes and happier plants apparently :) I use Dual-Spec HPS for the full range of light with great results but always looking to improve :)

Like Smokey said, this place full of enthusiastic growers and lovers of weed, enjoy :) Thanks Smokey for the detailed LED information :)

Hello to anyone still following :):P The prize pack arrived from GH and I wanted to share with you what I chose. I've already posted pretty much this exact post in the Indoor Cup prize thread, but thought I would also post it here since it was this grow that got me the prizes. Sorry for the repeat if you have already read the other :P

I got my prize pack a few days ago, would have had it sooner but I had to re-choose an out of stock item..I'm happy as can be!! The Powderfeed has been amazing and I can't wait to grow some more beautiful Greenhouse genetics. I'm considering trying an ONLY PF grow in the near future if I can stock up on enough of it :)It is very costly to purchase mainly because of the shipping costs which is part of the reason why I balance out it's use with additives that I can purchase locally in the hydro shops. It would be awesome to have a distributor on this side of the pond :) Thanks soooooooooooooooo damn much everyone from GHSC for this, and a very special thanks again to Dust who must have 8 hands to keep up with the contests as well as the normal posts...MUCH RESPECT!!

Peace

Hi Chimerv, welcome to the forum and thanks for checking out the grow/journal! I'm still learning but I find keeping all the details really helps with future grows. I'm currently growing the SLH and Trainwreck again but not scrogged, with an El nino plant thrown in the tent as well..links in my signature if you're interested. I hope to see a journal and grow from ya soon too!

Peace
