Ok a little mini- update! The trainwrecks were flushed last night with 27 L's each r/o water + a very small amount of Cal-mag plus (0.25 EC) & 4 mL/L DNF Clear flushing solution which brought the EC to 0.73 & pH'd to 5.7, and I also had to set up the water in front of my mini heater to heat it to 21 degrees from 19 degrees C. so that the salts are properly dissolved (as per Franco's Tips on FlUshing).

The final run-off numbers were EC = 0.68 & pH 6.2. That tells me that the Clear works very well since last waters run-off was an EC of 2.0 & pH of 5.7. I will see how they react and ripen before I decide whether to go with anymore flushing solution next water, just r/o + a little Cal-mag plus, or just r/o.

I sampled a volcano bowl of premature SLH #2 this morning that was snipped a few days ago. It was hanging out all lonely underneath the canopy and begging to be tested lol. The effect was really nice for early bud and even the taste was really cool. Normally with green bud that hasn't cured at all in the vaporizer it tastes well..green..especially early stuff, you don't normally get much of the strains taste. But this morning I was getting a sweet sorta grape like taste that lasted bag #2 through to bag #4..impressive for premature bud to say the least :)

Here are a few pics of the early small SLH bud and the water warming lol...details are everything!

Peace!

Looking great man!! probably alread said it but perfect scrog can be said again and again haha ;)

Thanks for all teh datas and pictures man, thanks PF batman haha ;)

Have a good grow

Oh its not a perfect scrog yet Dust but thanks!! :) I can see many places I could do better..but we are our own worst critics and I think I've again learned from this one and hope to make my next scrog a little better..look for 6 plants in the same containers next one as well I think.. I would like to stop training them a little earlier and get the 2nd and maybe 3even 3rd flowering nodes above the screen a little more and I think this would help so that I don't have to veg them forever :D

I see alot off nice and frosty nuggets in there mate nice show with a great setup! Enjoy the smoke anytime soon mate I follow, Peace. Beautyfull seed calyx buildup on those SLH specimen like the lemon skunk and most sativas great plant for sure!

Ya Undutched, the calyxes on the slh's have surprised me with their size, pretty much keeping up with the trainwrecks, although they are starting to swell nicely as well. Thanks for following!

Woow man !!

Your scrog looks amazing, really nice plants.

Congratz.

Thanks for the nice words and for checking out my grow Fran!! :) It has been a great contest even just for the fun and to see all of the awesome grows, the sharing of information, seeing how amazing the Powderfeed is + there's possible prizes?!?! lol

Thanks GH!

Holy s¤¤t man

Awesome awesome awesome

I'd love to smell them....... :)

Thanks for the enthusiasm and for enjoying em..my wife hears those same words from me when I come up from the tent fairly often :)

The smell is the most intense out of my grows yet..when I am on the trainwreck side it is sour, fruity and medicinal strong with some earthy kush like smell to them and on the SLH side the two plants are similar but still quite a bit different. If I move a branch and break some glands I start to really smell the lemon in the air, especially from #2, which seems to be the quicker pheno and smells so sweet, like sugary syrup, and if you get it on your hands or just smell the buds there is that plus some skunk. The slh#1 on the other hand seems to be a little slower and is much more skunky than her sister it seems with the lemon background there as well. Overall the combo of the smells fills the house when I open up the tent to water so I have to time this when not expecting company :P I wish someone would invent smell-o vision so us bud porn lovers could get more than just the visual benefit of pics lol

Great plants my friend , congrats on the grow ;)

Thanks again for stopping by my fellow friend of felines !!

hi,

really beautiful culture, plants are very healthy

respect !!!!!

peace

Thanks for continuing to follow and the kind words my friend!! :)

Amazing work, has to be said. Sat here drooling on the keyboard! Hardcore porn lol

Hey maybe there is a use for those foldable waterproof keyboards after all :P Thanks Gaz..happy to provide the porn :) It's funny seeing my own plants everyday is kind of like being married to them after awhile..ya you still have a thing for them, and they are still sexy and all that but there is something about other peoples buds and bud porn that just has you drooling over em more than your own that you have at home!! lol :sarcastic:

Beautiful garden man !!

I ordered me some PF about a week ago and cant wait to get started.

Have a good smoke dude!

Hey man welcome to the forums and thanks for the nice comment :) You are gonna love the PF..like powdered gold!!

Thanks bro! You have good instincts :) I'm normally good with 19 - 20 degrees for watering/feeding, but for flushing Franco says that 21 - 24 degrees is preferred because old nutrient salts are dissolved and flushed better at this temperature. From what I understand about chemistry, cation exchange and heat as a catalyst this makes sense :) I knew school would be good for something :P:lol: I can not wait for the SLH..just starting their flush in about 30 minutes..thanks! :)

Ya Dust..it's funny how many excuses to sample I can come up with

:) In fact, there is a nice probably 1.5 g trainwreck sample bud (once dry) that got snipped yesterday that is drying in the cupboard, it smells soooo sour + sweet right now..it reminds me of rhubarb! The excuse this time..the usual lol..it was a lower one that was getting crowded out by bigger ones and had to go to make room :)

This weeks pictures and updates will be up by Monday evening, and the next post should be a harvest one! All plants have had their first big flush with clearing solution..another week and it will be harvest picture time for the trainwrecks and very shortly after it will be the the SLH's turns

 .

Peace

hahaha yeah dman that on was a strong one lololol

He was just pissed cause he doesnt have any good green and is probably too lazy to grow his own lol

I love the scrog show man great input smokey enjoy your samples bro!!! I've need to do a scrog sometimes after I've seen this.

Thanks bro, I did enjoy them very much!! I'm really looking forward to having nice sativa bud around for the daytime..and you cant get much better than the SLH. Although I would love to try growing some Dr. Grinspoon...man that's some crazy lookin shit! Very cool that the plants have inspired you to consider scrogging..it's funny I owe trying it out to a wonderful lady working at a hydro store who suggested I try it for my small space..tried it my fiirst grow and now on my 2nd attempt (3rd grow) and I love the results :) I will say it is more labor and time intensive, so doing an auto grow in a normal way in between scrogs keeps things from turning into work lol. Thanks for hanging out my friend!

Peace

Hello friends!! MASSIVE PICTURE UPDATE!!

I apologize for the 24 hours late update, I try to keep up but this week is exam week at college and it SUCKS! I go downstairs to my garden and breathe just to deal with stress :P

We are only at 50 days since the plants were switched to 12/12 and it is so hard to believe but true, we are already almost at the end!! From my experience first hand, plus seeing others grows also finishing earlier than expected, this is thanks largely in part to the Powderfeed I believe, and having a set up that is starting to work nicely I think.

The Trainwrecks have had two flushes now and are ready to harvest anytime, but they are also still adding lots of weight and drinking, and still pretty green so I think they may get one more just plain r/o watering before harvest them in the next 4 – 6 days.

The Super Lemon Hazes are the most surprising as they are just as far along as the Trainwrecks according to the amount of milky and amber resin glands and they’ve already been flushed once, tonight will be their 2nd flush. They also have been exploding with growth since being flushed with Clear and will most likely be harvested after a 3rd plain r/o water flush/watering in the next 7 – 10 days making harvest date at 8 weeks from the start of 12/12 for a strain that is listed as a 10- 11 week strain!! This is crazy to me but the resin glands and buds don’t lie.

I see a number of positive results from such a quick ripening and harvesting:

  1. Less electricity costs
  2. Less nutrient costs
  3. Less r/o water costs – even if I was using tap water we pay by the M cubed
  4. Less total work to finish a crop
  5. Quicker crop turnover – I can start my next crop a week or two earlier

The only negative thing I can think of is that the yield may have been a little more had they more time, but I don’t think this would be by much looking at the buds. I will have to see what the final weight is, but even considering this I think the positives far outweigh this possibility.

OK – I will let the journal entries talk about the details. I clipped 2 sample Trainwreck buds to test hopefully in the next couple days and I’ve included pics of them. Also, keep an eye out for the cool pinkish red colored bud tips in picture “SLH macro (6)” ..Please scroll over the pics to see the names

Have a great week friends!! NEXT POST SHOULD WILL BE A HARVEST ONE!!

THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY GROW!

PEACE

09/04/13

- lots of fresh light green growth noticeable in all plants since last watering 3 days ago and noticeably swelling.

Watered SLH’s with 8 liters each r/o water +

Botanicare Cal Mag Plus @ 1 mL/L x 16 L = 16 mL EC: 0.45

Advanced Nutrients Sensizym @ 1.25 mL/L x 16 L = 20 mL EC: 0.03

Advanced Nutrients Overdrive @ 1.5 mL/L 16 = 24 mL EC: 0.27

DNF Carbo Logic @ 0.3 g/L x 16 L = 4.8 g

GHSC Sativa Powderfeed @ 0.1 g/L x 16 L = 1.5 g EC: 0.19

Potassium Silicate @ 0.05 mL/L x 16 L = 1 mL EC: 0.03

pH: 6.3 Temperature: 20 °C Total EC: 0.97

Run-off EC = #1 – 1.51 #2 = 1.57

Run-off pH = #1 – 5.7 #2 = 5.8

10/04/13

- lots of amber trichs showing up on the leaves, not as many on the buds but bud trichs turning mostly milky..time to flush

Flushed TW #1 & TW#2 each with 27 L each r/o + (mixed 18 L at a time)

Botanicare Cal Mag Plus @ 0.5 mL/L x 18 L = approx. 10 mL EC: 0.25

Dutch Nutrient Formula Clear @ 4 mL/L x 18 L = 70 mL EC: 0.45

Potassium Silicate @ 0.045 mL/L x 18 L = 0.8 mL EC: 0.03 ** (to raise pH to 5.7 from 5.5)

pH: 5.7 Temperature: 21°C Total EC: 0.73

Run-off EC = #1 – 0.68 #2 – 0.68

Run-off pH = #1 – 6.2 #2 – 6.2

11/04/13

- slh sample tastes like grape a little in volcano

SUSPECTED REASONS FOR LOWER YIELD TW than expected (unless they really blow up in the next 9 -13 days) ** AFTER THOUGHTS - IT IS 5 DAYS LATER AND THEY ARE REALLY PUTTING ON WEIGHT, WE WILL SEE HOW MUCH IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS BEFORE HARVEST

- topped them too late

- too hot during early flower (SLH’s sativa side likes a little heat maybe)

- too much focussed light intensity center of plant buds with LED’s too close

- removed too many fans too early?

- Even 1.5 – 1.6 EC too high for them with my set-up – getting EC more closely dialed in would have resulted in greater nutrient uptake

- would have benefitted from different flush schedule – 1st full flush

- Did a thorough trichome check of the SLH’s, it’s hard to believe but true, they are ready to be flushed next water as well. I am seeing about 10 – 15% (I hate estimating this number) amber trichomes on them with plenty of milky trichs. This means that harvest should be around the 8 weeks flowering mark, 2 weeks early! I don’t want to risk going any longer with them as I want to keep things on the sativa side.

12/04/13

Flushed SLH #1 & #2 each with 18 L r/o +

Dutch Nutrient Formula Clear @ 4 mL/L x 18 L = 70 mL EC: 0.63

pH: 6.0 Temperature: 21°C Total EC: 0.63

Run-off EC = #1 – 0.65 #2 – 0.58

Run-off pH = #1 – 5.9 #2 – 6.1

** - After seeing how quickly the Clear flushing solution brought the EC down in the Trainwrecks, I decided to only go with 18 L each flushing solution with the SLH’s with the Clear and it worked, dropping the EC right down. The small difference in EC going out compared to in is most likely the result of old dissolved nutes in the run-off catch trays. Next water will most likely just be plain pH’d r/o water with an EC of 0 and I will probably go with 18 L of water each depending on their response to the flush today. I may add some Carbo Logic to keep the beneficial microbes in the root zone working and to hopefully help the final product be a little “sweeter” and finish nicely.

14/04/2013

Flushed TW #1 & #2 each with 12 L r/o +

Dutch Nutrient Formula Clear @ 2 mL/L x 12L = 25mL EC: 0.36 **(less than ½ strength)

DNF Carbo Logic @ 0.15 g/L x 12 L = 2 g

pH: 6.0 Temperature: 20°C Total EC: 0.36

Run-off EC = #1 – 0. #2 – 0.58

Run-off pH = #1 – 6.9 #2 – 6.8

- Run-off was brownish with old salts dissolving even toward the end of the watering and the EC was still a little high around 0.48 - 0.51 so I’m gonna run another 8 L through each of them and hopefully run-off will be clear. Also, the pH spiked towards the basic level all the way to almost 7 pH! I am not sure if this is a normal response to the Clear solution or not. Everything looks good but it is a little concerning. Maybe I will email the company (Dutch Nutrient Formula) and see what they have to say.

Flushed TW #1 & #2 each with 8 L r/o +

Dutch Nutrient Formula Clear @ 2 mL/L x 16 L = 32 mL EC: 0.36 **(less than ½ strength)

DNF Carbo Logic @ 0.15 g/L x 16 L = 2.5 g

pH: 6.0 Temperature: 20°C Total EC: 0.36

Run-off EC = #1 – 0.65 #2 – 0.58

Run-off pH = #1 – 5.9 #2 – 6.1

- Trich check - SLH’s: #2 is more ripe and showing more amber trichs than one with about 15 - 20% amber trichs. #1 has about 5% right now I would say. BOTH are showing color changes really noticeable under 10 x micro. Some SLh bud tips and also some trichs are turning a REALLY cool reddish color like I’ve only seen in macro pics online or in magazines before!! ** SCROLL OVER THE PICS AND LOOK CLOSELY AT “SLH macro (6)”..you can see the reddish tips..enhanced of course by the LED light, we will have to wait to see the true color at harvest under normal light!

-After removing some SLH leaves blocking light and restricting airflow (also a few that yellowed quick after flushing) my fingers are so sticky and smell so awesome and intoxicating I just keep smelling them...kind of like when you can’t stop smelling your fingers as a teenager the first time you make it to 3rd base! HAHAHA! The smell is VERY skunky with sweet sugar and lemon just slightly less than the skunky smell

yes very very good man thanks for tht awesome update, i think indeed the weight you could gain with longer flowering would not be gigantic, and this grow has been running really nicely all along, no wonder why the plants are so happy :)

Have a good end of grow man keep flushing and give us some nice porn, this one was really good already tho :P

i havnt been here in a while and you are allowed to blame me for that...

Last time you were doin well and now look at that.

Amazing is how even the whole net is filled. You never see all thats going on on this branches but that looks truly like clone warrior army buds...

If i had my cap on i'd take it now off, respect smokey.

You did great on the powderfeeding...remarkable man.

yeah man that's awesome. it's really amazing with how totally different those two strain's are size wise and growth just everything at just how uniform that canopy is like scrog's are usually pretty uniform but to that degree. the overall utilization of space like it's killer so many people when they start out cram as many plant's as possible thinking that more mean's more yeild, but this grow really show's what one can do with a little knowledge and and a few plant's.

and what's even more impressive, and correct me if i am wrong smokey but this is your 3rd grow? even more impressive first grow with these strain's as well. and second grow with regular plant's because smokey's second grow was an auto grow. im impressed like the only thing i can see that was done wrong was maybe the plant's could have been given alittle more time to stretch before firing into flowering once the screen was put up, but i think that actually added to the uniformity of the canopy because those two strain's have completely different growth pattern's. if i where you i would watch go around and check the bud's because in the picture's i saw a few bud's that look as if they are growing into the screen but that could just be a camera angle thing. that can cause problem's with damaging the bud and because of how thick the foliage is if the bud is growing into the mesh and not getting enough air flow underneath the mesh, if rot occur's you could end up with mold. plus the last thing you want is for the screen to squish a portion of your product.

have you ever seen those thin net mesh's that are like light and have alittle bigger hole's that stuff's really good cause how how thin it is it's easy to pull bud's around it and leave's more room for air to flow through. i don't really know what's better to use tho my exsperiance with scrog is limited to being around grower's who use the technique's i have never attempted it my self. but i think after seeing this grow i am gonna it's just like it has to be the best way to pull large yeild's per square meter.

but yeah man this is a super impressive grow and for a 3rd grow it is mile's beyond a beginner's quality.

Amzing man your room look incredible !!

Much respect.

Thanks for the nice words and visiting Fran..the magic of the Powderfeed helps lots! :wizard::biggrin:

More porn you shall have very soon..I am cutting the fan leaves off at least one of the Trainwrecks tonight and harvesting at least one either tomorrow or the next day I think...so there will be 1 maybe 2 very naked ladies soon! I will have a few pictures for you tomorrow :) Ya I think you are right about yield..and I'm happy with how they've been plumping up since the 1st flush with the Clear nine days ago. Thanks for the nice words and input Dust! :good:

Still drooling. Not sure I would top the Trainwreck next time I grow it. Enjoy the small harvest you call samples. Lol

Haha..ya I agree with ya about not topping em, at least not so close to them going into flower. I realize now I only topped them 2 weeks before throwing them into flower and at the 5th internode on one and 7th on the other. Not the smartest decision in hindsight but always a good way to learn :P There is only a tiny bit left of the TW#1 plant. When they dried it was interesting to see the differences, and smell the differences in the buds. #2 is more sour and dank smelling and dries to very tight dense nuggets reminding me of a kush strain, while the #1 plant has more bursting calyxes and smells more on the sweeter side, does not dry as densely but both equally nice. Just like smell the taste even after only a few days is just amazing and is a mix of sour/fruity and floral/incense I would say. The effect is definitely a creeper, very strong even fresh and also nice and long lasting..already has just enough body to melt away pain and should become even more effective at this as it cures. Right now it is nice during the day if I'm not doing anything too intense :) Thanks Gaz!!

Thumbs up bro !

It's getting bigger each weeks, did you had a try on a sample already ?

Good work.

-Peace.

Thanks Ghost! Ya I did give those samples a go and am very happy with my choice of strains..as I was saying above the effects and the taste are already top notch :)

i havnt been here in a while and you are allowed to blame me for that...

Ya bro..good to see ya.. it's been awhile but no worries..you must be busy enjoying those bomb Money's and Hazes, I wouldn't be surprised if you lost your computer in all of that AAA+ grade smoke  Thanks for the more than kind words :) The screen is pretty full but Greeno is right I coulda let them veg just a little longer and the screen mighta been completely full..it is a bit of a guessing game growing from seed and new strains so I am still very happy with the results. Like you say, it's tough to see what's going on under the screen, and that's why I want to try 6 plants in the tent next scrog. I think this would allow more main branches in the holes and allow them to grow getting some more height above the screen which would allow more light and air to the 2nd and 3rd flowering nodes. BUT the SLH's are producing good sized nuggets even 3 nodes down below the screen, the Trainwrecks not quite so much..but quality before quantity and I'm very happy :)

very nice scrog you've got going enjoy the samples, love the close ups from the thc terpines /cristals great job love it. Peace

Thanks for sticking around and enjoying them..I wish I had an even better micro and camera to show the really cool pink/red resin glands..but we will all just have to go to Mr. X's journal for pictures like that! :) Peace brother

yeah man that's awesome. it's really amazing with how totally different those two strain's are size wise and growth just everything at just how uniform that canopy is like scrog's are usually pretty uniform but to that degree. the overall utilization of space like it's killer so many people when they start out cram as many plant's as possible thinking that more mean's more yeild, but this grow really show's what one can do with a little knowledge and and a few plant's.

and what's even more impressive, and correct me if i am wrong smokey but this is your 3rd grow? even more impressive first grow with these strain's as well. and second grow with regular plant's because smokey's second grow was an auto grow. im impressed like the only thing i can see that was done wrong was maybe the plant's could have been given alittle more time to stretch before firing into flowering once the screen was put up, but i think that actually added to the uniformity of the canopy because those two strain's have completely different growth pattern's. if i where you i would watch go around and check the bud's because in the picture's i saw a few bud's that look as if they are growing into the screen but that could just be a camera angle thing. that can cause problem's with damaging the bud and because of how thick the foliage is if the bud is growing into the mesh and not getting enough air flow underneath the mesh, if rot occur's you could end up with mold. plus the last thing you want is for the screen to squish a portion of your product.

have you ever seen those thin net mesh's that are like light and have alittle bigger hole's that stuff's really good cause how how thin it is it's easy to pull bud's around it and leave's more room for air to flow through. i don't really know what's better to use tho my exsperiance with scrog is limited to being around grower's who use the technique's i have never attempted it my self. but i think after seeing this grow i am gonna it's just like it has to be the best way to pull large yeild's per square meter.

but yeah man this is a super impressive grow and for a 3rd grow it is mile's beyond a beginner's quality.

Thanks for the huge amount of cred there bro..coming from the grower who is bound to get 10,000 + views every grow you're gonna have me blushing like a prom girl lol  With the 2 strains bein so different you are right, it had me a bit scared. I've found that like most grows there is some definite planning ahead involved, just more with scrogging, but it still does come down to a lot of gut feeling when making decisions and in the end things never go as planned like we all know. It was funny though, when I decided to flip em to 12/12 I was more worried about the SLH's stretching like 3 + times and they didn't nearly as much as I expected. I'm not sure if it was the amount of and spectrum of light or the phenos but in the end I was beginning to worry that I would run outta room for the Trains..then the stretch stopped and I was like..shit..so much for an over full scrog lol..but it's learning and as much as I'd love every hole filled..giggity..I know it's a bit of luck and I'm happy with whatever I get!

And ya it's only my 3rd grow..almost still a newb :P I had my pain management doctor half amazed and half laughing while I showed him pics of my garden while telling him that

"I've finally found something I'm kinda good at"..and please no one get me wrong I've got TONS to learn..not saying I'm a pro at all..but it's like when you find your passion in life you want to learn EVERYTHING there is about it, and you actually pay attention..unlike college lol..speaking of which..it's a good thing I can grow ganja ok cause school is not looking as good this past semester as the first :banghead::suicide: I may have been a little more absorbed in my grow than the books lol. Bein serious though I'm gonna say it again..and again..you and all the other awesome skilled growers who have been there from the first grow to encourage, and help, and provide info..and laugh with.. man I'd be growin ditchweed and may even have given up. I really think that anyone who has a real passion to grow and learn that joins this site can get awesome results fairly quickly with work and dedication..being really picky and anal about shit helps too :sarcastic: Then you add the Powderfeed in and things really start to shine...using it from start to finish has produced results soooo quick it's crazy. I keep worrying that I'm gonna pull em early, especially the SLH's ..so I grab the micro and have a look at the trichs again and they just don't lie, the SLH's are just as ripe as the Trains..I seriously would never know SLH was a 10 sometimes 11 week strain..blows my mind. Even the colours coming out..reddish pink tips on the SLH's and purples on the Trains..that doesn't come early.

Thanks for reminding me about the dangers of bud rot, humidity has been kept nice and low around 35 - 45% but even with that the rH inside and directly around the buds can be much higher, also have had the two internal oscillating fans on em at all times..BUT I hear ya..the screen could definitely trap moisture if the buds grow around it. I gave em a good going over and everything looks good, I only had one of two buds I adjusted a little. What tends to happen is the little bit of stem between the 1st and 2nd flower nodes rests on the screen with the actual bud not touching it. Anywhere the bud does touch the screen is not being supported by it at all and there is no pressure against the bud, just gently resting. I agree man, screen that was thinner would be preferable and I did originally buy some of the clear thin trellising I think you are talkin about but the holes are just too big for my liking and I would have much fewer bud sites. Air movement like you said is really important and sometimes you do have to cut leaves that you normally prefer not too just to get air or light to areas. I want to try and get the buds a little higher up next one like I said before..when they grow in the screen it can get a little crowded!

I really think you would produce a killer scrog with your skills Greeno, and man I know you love spending time with your plants so you gotta go for it and get one done! :) You just won't have any massive colas like you are used to!

Thanks for stopping by and the kind words jankahar & cabay! :) :)

Sorry guys no update yet, I am busy with harvesting and trimming and have to go at it in sessions because of other things goin on..BUT..I will try and get a few pics up as a preview sometime today..AND I'm very happy to say that soon you will see pictures of 2 very purple super lemon haze phenos!! Over the past few days the purple has REALLY been coming out of them

So the Trainwrecks are cut and hanging awaiting further trim, and the SLH's got their fan leaves all cut off last night and are awaiting the chop tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much Trainwreck I can get trimmed today.

Peace friends!

Thanks Miminexus, they are my favorite plants I've grown yet, all of em lol :P

**MINI HARVEST UPDATE WITH PICS!!** Trainwrecks both harvested yesterday, fully ripe after only 54 days of 12/12

Super lemon hazes will be harvested tonight or tomorrow, again fully ripe, showing plenty of amber trichs after only 56 days of 12/12!!!

So as I said the Trainwrecks are down and I hung them last night in the new dry tent I purchased (with a 4 inch fan/fillter combo for smell), and the house smells like..nothing lol..just the way the wife wants it during harvest, inside the tent is another story..VERY strong stuff soooo nice! They will be trimmed up today and hung in the dry boxes I made for the last grow to complete drying and make room on the ceiling rack for the super lemon hazes.

The SLH's were trimmed of their fan leaves last night and I was able to cut a bud and bring it upstairs into true light revealing that I am sooo fortunate to have ended up with 2 purple colored SLH pheno's. When I look at them under the micro, there are amber, pink, and purple resin glands..something I never thought I would get to see in person :)I've included 2 pictures of the purplish SLH bud I cut so you can see what I mean..they are the first bud pictures. One under sunlight and one under indoor light, it is a little difficult to see the color clearly because of the density of the trichomes, to the point where the dark color freaked me out a little until I viewed them under microscope and saw that it was purplish color, and the "fuzz" is pure trichs..no trace of anything bad lurking in there :) All other "bud" pics are Trainwrecks...and I included a few pictures of the remaining SLH plants..one from last night pre- fan cut..and one from this morning post fan cut. The SLH's will remain in darkness now until I am ready to harvest them tonight or tomorrow.

Now..what I've noticed is that the buds that received the most LED light, have much more purple color to them, with the buds on the outer perimeter not having quite as much color, to me this could mean a few things. Either the LED light spectrum combined with the high pressure sodium spectrum is the cause, or just the total amount and concentration of light on these particular buds caused it, and with more time, or more LED light, the outer buds would have turned more as well. Then we of course can't forget the Powderfeed in the equation  . When I searched purple SLH pheno's, any example of a grow with one they were at 10 weeks flowering before they showed purple, these ones again are only at 8 weeks of 12/12 exactly today!

Dry tent conditions:

Temp: 16 - 19 - window open in the room to keep it low and I've blocked under the doorway to create a mini-climate for slow drying

rH: 55% - maintained with a small room humidifier

Airflow - the new exhaust fan is sucking enough air into the tent even with it controlled via rheostat that will the tent door unzipped in front along the vertical zipper to create gentle airflow - and the negative pressure keeps the smell and air inside the tent to be exhausted via the fan

Light - NONE - window has closed blinds and it's blacked out behind them with black and white plastic with only the bottom untaped to allow air in via the window open about 10 cm helping to keep temperatures lower.

Enjoy the teaser post..more pictures and explanations will come every couple of days I think as harvest progresses so that you don't have to wait another week for everything to end..so stay tuned!

Peace :)
