new seeds

Germination of 5 drs strain,tap root about quarter inch long,tried the papper towel method,like it a lot better then dropping them in watter,plus it seems like the root is much larrger.If the root does not take when using the towel method,if the root does not take would you still be able to put in water ?? Wih no bad effects? Thanks in advance!!

Hey man! well normally you use both water and papaer towel, the water is not really supposed to be a germination process, it is made to hydrate the seed, eventually wake her up from a long sleep if they are old seeds, and indeed most of the time if the seeds are fresh they will open in the water, but in reality it is not the optimal, once the seed is cracked you must put her in the paper towel or in jiffy cubes right away technically staying in the water will suffocate them a little, but unless you leave them for 3 days you don't risk anything,

Personally after 12 24h most seeds are at the bottom of the water or cracked, i the put them in the cubes, or fr you in paper towel, you can move them as soon as they sink to the bottom of the glass.
