Afgooey x3 Outdoor grow

Hi People,

Here we go again finally it's that time of year again when we can harness the sun to grow our supplies, Prefer to grow outdoors as so many spectrums in the sun, which gives the end results a more varied high as the plants are given the chance to develop to there full potential.

I have started last night by popping 2 of the seeds in to a glass of water at room temperature. I soaked them and removed them from the glass today. They are now sitting on a bed of paper towel in a warm cupboard. I have planted the 3rd directly into the soil an watered them lightly with the same room temp water, they to are in a warm cupboard. I wanted to see if it was quicker to germinate them way suggested on the GHS page, but will run a more comprehensive test when the indoor season starts again.

I will be using Easy mix again for my grow provided by the local growshop. My friend has been meening to get them for a while so was a nice surprise when I got home to 200 litre's in front of my broken car. Didn't fancy the bus!

Bit of a google translate job on the ingredients, sure one of the dutch speaking growers may have a better idea.

veenmosveen - sphagnum peat

turfstrooisel - peat litter

woormenhumus - Worm molds/casts

Pumic Stone - similar to perlite

bemesting van n-p-k meststoffen en sporenelementen - fertilization of npk fertilizers and trace elements

Dutch class over! i will be potting them in small 1 litre tubs then move them within a week to 17litre tubs (see pic). The 17litres won't fit in the mini greenhouse so thats why they are going in the smaller pots first. I will also use 3-5 cm of Clay pebbles in the bigger pots. Once sprouted and in the pots the mini greenhouse will go straight to the garden, unless temps going below 10 then they will go in the kitchen window. I like to get them out asap harden the little beggars up.

That's about it for now. I do intend splitting the stems once they are bigger , slows growth for a little while, but makes the lower stems much stronger. Top tip from Dr.Green's Instagreen feed. A few pictures of my kit and freshly painted outdoor grow room.

Quick question Mods, can i also show my 2 Kalashnikova Auto in this report as have 2 of them also going outside. Will stop the wife complaining about lack of plants in the garden.

Hey gaz good luck in the cup brother.

I was just checking out your White.Strawberry.Skunk grow today and saw you has a pretty hard time of it with those ladies/she-males :girlcrazy:

Is that the same bag of pebbles you got for 8euros when starting the WSS? what a great deal!

I hope you have good things happen in this grow, I look forward to your journal bud.

Have a good season... :bye:

Yes same pebbles, pretty good the local growshop, soil is still only 5 euro for 50 litre bag.

Was a little challenging the WSS, but once they tame her going to be a great strain, smells out of this world. Manged to chop 3 of 5 WSS. Thanks for the reply, make it worthwhile to know people are taking the time to read you journals.

An Afgooey is born, the first girl popped up her pretty little head this morning. She was the one i germinated, straight into the soil. The other two, cracked yesterday morning, so they are now in the soil, in a dark warm place, so hopefully they should make an apperance very soon. Just lightly misting the top of the soil with plain room temperature rainwater, decided to stick some buckets out seen as raining so much at the moment. Due to the weather i will be putting them in a mini greenhouse on the sunniest window ledge. Pictures of Afgooey 1

Afgooey 2 and 3 are coming along well, they popped a couple of days after Afgooey 1. Just lightly watering them when required. They are still in the propogtor on the sunniest window sill. I will get them outside on the 1st June as weather looking crappy till then , they have 16 hours daylight.

Week 3

So we are in week 3 now of the grow , sorry for last weeks update was busy making my little grow frame, as the weather had been crap i thought I would construct a frame to protect them. All the girls are growing really short and compactly. They had been quite slow as I repotted them into there 17 litre pots 1 week ago. I used Easymix from my local grow shop and added 3 cm of clay pebbles to the bottom of the pots. I am intrested to see how the Afgooey get on as I don't usually use such large pots. They look about 1 week behind a couple of Kalashnikova auto's I got out as well. They are there as 4 months is a long time for an impatient pothead.

I have just been giving them water so far but I will give them 1g of Powderfeed in there 10 litre can, as still very small and fragile, they should start racing on soon , now they have settled in there new pots. The progress over the last 2 days seems to be speeding up. Temperatures this last week have been between 19 and 24 celsius, so not complaining as been very sunny as well.

thnks for the pics man, why do you have spider nets on your plants? did you check what it was?

Beside that they look good :)

Have a good grow

Just have a little spider living on one of my plants. The web/net is catching flies and seeds blowing around. Natural defense. Will remove them !
