PlayNaked
As a few of you already know I am a new member on this forum (liking it very much already ) and a first time grower also...So this are gonna be my victories and also my failures with my first grow. The plant is a cross of some sorts, got it from a a friend as a seed, germinated it (glass of water method) and then planted in a mix. of two different peats...the two main lights that I am using are:1x 200W 6400K CFL - veg.1x 200W 2700K CFL - flowering...I will also help to even out the light spectrum with 4 smaller 23W CFL's (2x cold + 2x warm temp.)All of the lights are under a reflector (wing type)...Now for some pics from the start on - you can see them in my gallery here is the link:http://www.strainhun...163-my-1st-try/With some good advise from some of you guys we overcame the sad times are now going strong...So today is a new chapter - I started this journal, got some new fertilizer (liquid one) and upgraded my lighting (aded 2 small CFL's), but first the fertilizer:The green one is for veg. and the red one for blooming...As for the addition of the two 2700K 23W CFL's:For today this will be all...Looking forward to your comments... would also very much like to hear what you think I am doing wrong and/or right Stay tuned...
Stinky Pete
Ahoy Brother2 things:1. Get the plant closer to the light2. Try and place the smaller bulbs horizontal as well. a Cfl's strongest light point is in the middle. Following this grow with interest !!!
PlayNaked
I lifted the plant right after I made this photo...I was thinking about cutting holes in the reflector for the small lamps so that the reflector would actually reflect their light? Have to buy the tools first Now they just hang, one on each side of the plant...
PlayNaked
Update:So it has four days since I last posted here (I think )...Here are the news. The little stubborn lady still won't grow in height as quick as would like her to...On the other hand she is getting even bushier I have topped the side branches a little and they have started to grow out and upwards... still not sure if I should top the main cola???Still watering her every other day, with approx. 1litre of water (fertilizer for growth mixed in as per manual)...Lights are now set to 16hrs ON and 8hrs OFF still a mix of 200W 6400K CFL + 2x23W 2700K CFLEnough said, bellow are the photos...

Dust
it happens sometimes with cfl ^^ it keeps plant very short but if she keeps growing on the lateral branches she will be fine and you too normally What happened on the leaves to make those burns?Have a good grow thanks for the update

Stinky Pete
I wouldn't worry about it bro. When did you change the light cycle. You are heading towards 12 12 right ??? BTW, she is looking great man. Well done. Can't wait for the porn ! ! !
PlayNaked
Hey hey...I started changing the light cycle two days ago.. each day I will take away 1hour of light... when I reach 12/12 period I will exchange the main light for a 200W 2700K CFL... and the small ones for 6400K... just to even it out a little Then I will also start feeding her the bloom fertilizer... so much for now
PlayNaked
So I decided to do a quick update and also to ask for directions...Low stress training for the side branches??? Will this work? (see pic. below)I also did some more fan leaves trimming... decided to get rid of them ugly ones that were damaged form the bug problem from few days ago...as for the plant itself... she finally grew over 30cm tall... and the top is still getting thicker and bushier don't know it that is a good thing... am also afraid to top the main stem, what if she won't survive it???watered it again with the solution of the green fertilizer (grow) added a little bit more of it this time around 20ml per 2ltr water... since I have seen that some of the other growers out there are using much more concentrated fertilizers and this one only has a NPK value of 6-3-6... hope I am not doing something wrong.and last but not least am down to 15hrs ON and 9hrs OFF Stay tuned

Dust
hi man thanks for the news The LST on the lower branches will help a little yes, you can also at the same time "pinch" your stem right above the top, it will slow down the top for a few day and give a little boost to the lower branches Have a good grow! Undutched
She just won't grow in height? get your cfl lighting up a liitle higher makes them stretch, or buy additional cfl with more far red-light in the spectrum! Nice indica WW like growth, it can be it needs a long vedg cause off the genetics and your CFL has nothing to do with it.

PlayNaked
Hello fellow growers Again it is time for a little update... My little one is now just over a month under the lights and it has been a week since my last post...For the technical part of the update:We are still on a 18hrs time regime...Still feeding with fertilizers for vegetative growth The only difference is that I have removed all of the big fan leaves just to help the branches get more light...The plant itself is now a little over 40cm tall no need to say I am a happy camper now...'nuff words, here are some pics:

PlayNaked
I give her a liter of water (approx.) every 2-3 days... Is it too much?
Undutched
I give her a liter of water (approx.) every 2-3 days... Is it too much? Try feeding when needed, and let the peatmix tell you when by dryness, wait till she allmost totally dry!!!! She is a beauty mate 100% indica allmost I guess. It happens with indica strains once you start flowering she will stretch enough on you!

PlayNaked
So my friend came to visit me during the weekend... and she came bearing gifts She brought me some Clonex rooting gel, Formulex nutrient solution some rock-wool cubes and most important a whole bunch of seeds So I planted 10 seeds already... soaked the rock-wool cubes in a mild Formulex solution 5ml in 2ltrs of water... then planted a seed in each one... I just placed the cubes in a plastic box since I don't have a proper propagator.Oh and later today I will post some updates as for how my lil lady is doing

Should I exchange the bulb over to warm light and to 12/12hrs of on/off time?Sorry for the crappy phone pics this time... had my DSLR pack tucked away for tomorrow morning
