i agree with you mate, the awsome part about the whole thread was it was voting day for us at the pole's when i went to do my voting i noticed there was a ganja party in the top boxes which is in the same spot as all our parties not the lower house but upper parties which is a really good sign and there looking for legalizing it ..

i have sinced joined the aussie hemp party and hope to help them out through out the year..

so a great sign for Australia's future with legelizing cannabis

I'm wading through the applications and permits process at the moment.

The barriers to entry are nothing short of ridiculous. It's quite telling that the lions share of licences issued have gone to international capital backed companies of former politicians lawyers and doctors in the non industrial market sector. What would be a fair starting point is the 6K for a application to cultivate or the 3.6k application for a research licence were at least refundable if your application is not successful.

I find it disappointing that Australian innovation is stomped out the moment you look at the mmj industry - I'm feeling it may be less of a headfuck to operate out of Europe and have established brand with products ready to put on shelves in about 5 years when the red tape is a little less tied in knots.

Maybe somewhere I can fit "Australian Innovation" in tiny letters next to manufactured halfway across the world.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
