Big Bang Auto

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

This is my first grow ever. Since I cannot grow indoors I decided to give an autostrain a try and maybe they will have just enought time to finish before Fall. On the 31st of July I put the seeds to germinate. 2 days later all of them were germinated and placed them in a seedlings tray on the 6th of August. On the 9th of August I transfered them to pots. Currently I keep them indoors. From window sill to window sill all day. I have to move them so they get enough sunlight. I shall attach all the images I have so far. Never thought about documenting the grow until today but luckily I did take some pictures along the way. I think they are doing fine. Had some issue with overwatering but read up on it online and corrected that.

The last pictures are from a few days ago. I will take new ones and include them in my next update.

I will try to keep you posted. In one or two weeks I am thinking about moving they outdoors. I've found a pretty nice spot near a river and I want them to grow and flower there because I can't do that in the house.

Have a great day!;)

Hi everyone!

To keep anyone interested up to date, I decided to take some pictures today and post them here so you guys can see how they are doing.

As you can see from the images I have a very small plant that did not develop as fast as the others. She looks very healthy to me. Any suggestion would be appreciated as to how I could help her catch up to the others. I did not feed my plants anything. The soil is BioBizz Light Mix and I use tap water that has been left to sit for at least 24 hours.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and thank you in advance!

Have a great day!;)

All looking neat and healthy :) Thanks for the news.

For your smaller lady, it happens sometimes, just a slower phenotype, but sometimes those plants will suddenly boost and catch up with others, even sometimes become bigger, or just stay small haha, but she still looks healthy ;)

Have a good grow

Hi everyone!

I am back with an update and to ask for some advice again! :D

I have the impression that the plants developed really fast in the last few days. Hopefully because they are still healthy! When I got back home today the big one was almost knocked over, I guess by a stiff breeze. The stalks don't seem to be as strong as I thought they would be by now. Because of this I have decided to give them a little more time at my house before moving them outdoors. I am also concerned that in case of a rain/storm/strong wind they will not survive. I have not used any support for the plants just because I read somewhere that it's good for developing strong stalks.

Another thing I've noticed today when I got home was that the top of the bigger plant si kind of yellow. I don't know how well you can see it in the pictures but it's there. Is this something I have to worry about? I have looked it up online and it seems to be either nutrient deficiency (I do not use nutrients), something with the water so as of tomorrow I will switch to bottled spring water. Hopefully this will solve it. Any advice will be really appreciated!:)

The smaller ones seem to be catching up slowly but surely so that's a big relief. I can't wait to seem them all 4 side by side and standing strong!:D

And one last thing: the plants naturally follow the sunlight and bend in the direction of the sun. Is there a way to maybe stop this so the plant grows straight up?( other than moving the sun ). Is this something I shouldn't even bother with?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Have a holly jolly day! ;)

Hi guys! :)

I am back with an update!

It seems like I have managed to sort out the issues I had encountered so far! Just repotted the 2 bigger plants a few days ago and tomorrow I will repot the small ones as well. I am seriously thinking about finishing their cycle at my house. The weather is a bit weird for August and I guess they are not going to grow that big anyway. What do you guys think regarding their full size?

I also wanted to ask if it is a good idea to feed them nutrients or just grow them in the BioBizz Light Mix without anything added all the way through flowering?

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! ;)

Have a great day! ;)

Hello man thanks for the news!

for your question with the lightmix normally you should not need to feed for near than a month in outdoor, but it depends the strains. when you see the color of your plant start to become more pale and not as vigorous as before you can start to give 1 time a week small doses of food and adapt it to the needs of your plant :)

Have a good grow!

I bought the only fertilizer for veg grow that I have found. It's something for leafy plants so I guess it will work. At this time there are no signs of defficiencies.

What do you think about their size Dust? Aprox. how big will they get? if it will be above 1m then I will move them outdoors this weekend.

Thanks again man!:)

well they are autos so the size of the plant will depend mainly on the size of the pots, if you dont repot them soon enough they will start to flower earlier, they should not stay too long in small pots if you want high plants. try to get the highest pots you can find, not necessary wide, but high as it seems the Auto roots are growing more vertically then horizontally.

but in these little pots if you leave them here they should not get too big, max 50 i would say, but its a total guess as it will change a lot depending on the climate sun and all ^^

Have a good grow

I read somewhere that the Big Bang is a bushy plant... growing naturally wider than taller. Anyway I have bought 12L pots and I will move the 2 bigger ones outdoors this weekend. The little ones I will keep at the house and repot in 6L pots for now because they are so small. Hopefully this way I can keep an eye on the little fragile ones and hopefully the stronger ones will be ok outside. :)

In my opinion it's best to germinate the seed in the medium you want and then plant them in the final pots from the beginning. I have my 2 weeks old critical+autos in 17L pots. Like this you wouldn't slow the Veg growing speed and the bigger it gets in these first weeks the best :)

:) Thanks for the suggestion! Kinda late for that now but I have transferred the big ones in 12L pots and the small ones in 6L pots. I will post some pictures later today.

Alright so I repotted all of them!

The big ones in 12L containers and the smaller ones in 6L containers. I think these will do considering the size of the plants.

I switched to Guanokalong Complete Mix because I ran out of the BioBizz Light Mix. It says on the packaging to start feeding after 2 weeks so I plan on doing just that.

Ordered nutrients for both veg and flower. They should be here by Monday.

I encountered no other problems as far as I can tell. Hopefully it will remain this way. I wish I had something to test the PH with but unfortunately I do not.

I hope you guys enjoy the pics! :) The small ones are in a photo together and the bigger ones I took photos of separately.

Have a great day!

well they should love the guano :) And yes be careful when you start feeding because it is known to be pretty strong so make sure to start slowly, or eventually to see some sign of minor def if you have a good eye and can act quick ;)

Have a good grow! They look happy in the new home :)

Last pic looks like they are loving that sun, in particular that bottom left plant ready to fly eheh

How many weeks from seed?

What I learned from a friend is that   " - fertilizer = + health "  , so half the feeding portions than the charts say and she would not suffer any nute burn or deficiency. Correct me if i'm wrong pls

;) hey man!

They are 32 days old now. I will wait for 2 weeks as I have just changed the soil and then I will start feeding.

Thanks for the advice!:)

On another note, one of the smaller plants has developed a deficiency. The top leaves are deformed. Dropped my phone today and smashed the display so I can't take any pictures for a while. I will try and get it fixed ASAP and I will be back with photos. They look great and have grown a lot over the course of this weekend.

A great day to you all!;)

Yop man thanks for the news ;)

Well the only really deformed leaf i see look like its been damaged by a shock or bitten by something more than a deformation. But anyway it seems the rest of the plants are all doing good and this should not affect your grow :)

Have a good grow :)

Hey there fellow growers!permagrin.gif

I am back because of a little concern I am having. I apologize in advance for the quality of the pics but my other phone is still broken...

I noticed a white dust on some of the leaves. It seems to stain them. Could it be the paint from my balconies' walls? Don't know how that could have gotten there... or could it be the sign of a bigger problem?:-s

Other than that they seem to be doing great. Will start feeding flowering nutes next week and hopefully my first grow will turn out to be a success.permagrin.gif

I hope you enjoy the pics and have a great day!smoke2.gif

well it is very very blur on the photo of the white dust so it is hard to say, do you spray your plants with water, or did it rain lately? because if they get water form the walls or from the house on the plant, for sure it will bring some dirt with the water and when drying it can make this, if you have sprayed them with tap water it could also be some Cal, or something like this leaving marks when drying?

In any case if you want you can take some demineralized water and clean the leaves gently.

And in the worst case it could be some kind of fungus or virus, but looks more like drop spots on the little i can see no?
