here we go, The Slex a cross of Super lemon haze and Exodus cheese. two  strains that i am very familiar with and they both belong to my all time favorites, i am specially fond of the super lemon haze plant as i have kept it in my garden for almost two and half years now

i will grow the test seeds in three 5 seed batches so they wont take over my whole tent

i have anticipated this cross to come for quite a while now to the point i almost made it myself at home hehe, im so glad to finally try it out. thank you ghs:)

i started by soaking 5 seed's wednesday evening with a dash o worm casting extract in the soak water

under 12h later i noticed couple seeds had already crack open as i was planting them in seedling/clone pots and now im waiting for the seedlings to break soil

Small update on the germing development

It has been little slow start after initial germination, more than likely because i gave them less than optimal cooler night temperatures this time.

Few degrees off the optimal germination range can sometimes mean few lost days in seedling development but im in no hurry this time

i should have setup germination heatpad for the winter months long time ago to give new plants optimal germination temps.... i can only blame my self for the starting speeds as i did not take care of it properly :)

anyway 4 seeds are now up and developing in veg tent the 5th seedling got a bit stuck on its shell so i dug it up yesterday to find it was still completely closed so i helped her open up with scalpel and put back in the medium it seems to be growing tap root out now

it has been 10 days since the seeds got soaked and germinated. there is not much happening at this point, they are developing slowly but surely with 2 true leaflets currently and third set probably showing later today or tomorrow

there is only 180watts or so in my veg tent so they wont be the fastest vegging plants you will see here:) but once they start getting some of that 600w hps i have in flower tent they will start developing fast im sure, i might even put them under the 12/12 hps before they are fully matured adults if it will fit my current cycle but i have not decided yet how i will grow them

the fifth seedling i germed is still doing nothing even tho it looks alive hehe i might have damaged it also when screwing around i will never know :dontknow:

:butcher: i will replace the 5th  with 1 or 2 seeds in couple days if nothing happens also i finally have that heat pad for babys and clones

Hi,

Good companion work, repair the problem is always the best way (big date from levente too).

And they seem to be fit, now only have to wait a little development in growth and see if they show different phenotypes.

I keep tuned! ;)

the two smaller plants with haze leaf's has 4 nodes now and the two fatter phenos have 5th nodes at day 19 from germination

as you can see i have little thrip problem and the plants have been nibbled a bit but it is nothing serious and luckily they dont seem to like the plants so much once they get in flower

i have some thrip predator mites keeping em at obey but i will need to take care of them 100% at some point during winter so it wont get out of hand again later

they will go to bigger pots in next few days, so far i have only been giving them compost/ewc tea i brewed

and i also started two more slexes 6-7 days ago to replace the one that didnt germ

its day 26 for the 4 older slexes and day 14 for the two younger ones, since the last update i have potted them in approx 1 liter pots and i will propably pot them up again later this week.

i have not decided how i  will flower them yet, i should get more room in my flower tent later this week so they will get a bit more vegging light from there aswell

the older ones are topped after 4th node so they will get a bit more optimal shape in the tent and wont get too tall during flower

Hi Jankah ar,

A very vigorous growth. You maintain a high level of humidity? Good option the Fim pruning ,  to avoid much height in flowering.

Thaks for share mate :)

Cheers

thanks, yeah its decent speed considering they are under 70w mh and total  only 190~w in the veg space, gotta keep em pretty close to light:)

i have very low humidity actually as the outside air is so cold, around 30-40%~ and it will go even lower as the winter gets colder, down to 20's

i see some breathing issues on the leafs every winter due to low humidity or low Vapor Pressure Deficit ratio but at least resin production is high with the dry air:)

The feminized SLEX is interesting.

I see two distinctly different leaf characteristics so far in your set of plants.  Apparently the SLEX could be worked on a little bit longer at Greenhouse in order to isolate it to a single Pheno.

Maybe that's what we are doing by performing these tests?

Maybe both (or more) Phenos of SLEX are yet to be evaluated, and Greenhouse may choose one or two of them for further Isolation and study.

Good Job Jankahar.

little bit late with the update but here it is day 35-36 from soak, should be mature adults any day now

i re potted them couple days ago in 6liter pots and they also got some taste of the 600w for few days now, they had such low light conditions earlier compared to now so i am expecting things to speed up quite dramatically from now on, i will probably leave them in 12/12 after next weekend if they have rooted well by than and well adjusted to new light

there was this little damage in 1 node on the plant that looked a bit retarded at start and it repaired and grew the node in funny looking way, almost like its grafted on it, but i haven't done any grafting in long time hehe
