high humidity problem

budbox1.2x1.2x2m its in a celler/basement

humidity is fine when the light is on but goes up to 90% sometimes higher when the lights go off.

100mm extraction fan in the tent is on 24/7 going straight out a vent not into the celler/basement.

i have the vents open at the bottom of the tent 24/7.

i bought a 80w tube heater to try and help but it didnt also on 24/7.

im into the week2 of flowering

can anyone help

Also i can recommend to get you some dehumidifier, for 80 sqm min. The more the better. Costs only about 10$.

You can find them in campingstores. This really worked my humidity problems out.

Some you can search are absodry for example.

This one i used first but changed over to some bigger.

hi markus and fuzzy thanks for the info

i did have a small dehumidifier but only 250ml a day i got it from a friend and gave it a try it didnt even drop 1% and that was in the tent.

a friend said make a small box up, put the dehumidifier and heater in it. close the vents at the bottom of the tent and attach duct from the box to the tent. its only a 100mm fan in the tent i dont think its powerful enough.

il set up the fan at the weekend taking air from the cellar/basement see how that goes for a couple of days if no change in humidity il fork out for a better dehumidifier

250ml is not much. The one Fuzzy recommended you, can suck 10liters in 24hrs. And also is easy to setup and very cheap. But i have good results with the cheap method now (absodry). If i have the money i go for the thing Fuzzy showed you.

Purpose of Strain Hunters

Our planet is home to millions of species of animal and plants with their own habitat, and each plays a unique role in the perfect design of nature. The sole intent of Strain Hunters is to identify, locate and retrieve cannabis landraces that have not yet been studied, in order to give scientists and doctors the possibility to further enhance knowledge of the cannabis plant in the medicinal field.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. Cannabis should not be illegal


One of the goals of the United Nations, published years ago in official reports, was to wipe out the cannabis plant from the face of the earth by the year 2010. In reality this is far from being achieved, because man keeps using the cannabis plant for religious, medicinal and recreational purposes no matter what the law says. Most cultures cannot comprehend how a plant can be made illegal. In most people’s perception, plants and animals stand above a status of legality or illegality, they just exist in a higher design of nature that goes beyond human laws and regulations.

Nevertheless most governments of cannabis- producing countries are implementing drastic measures to destroy crops. Dangerous chemicals are sprayed over fields and over the farmers themselves in most of the third world countries, and the poorest people of the planet are the ones paying the highest price for cultivating a plant that does not kill. But in the economy of scale, where demand dictates supply, the poorest people of the planet have no choice but to cultivate cannabis as a cash crop to feed their children and send them to school. Communities that are isolated in remote areas in the poorest regions of the planet are often the keepers of very special landraces.
