Unknown strain from Oz, not Duck or Mongy

So after much googling I find this forum, and figure it is the best place to consolidate the links and info gathered, also in the hope that there may people on here with knowledge of this strain.

Many years ago I was at this guys house and saw some potted plants tucked in around his house in the manner of trying to hide them. That was my first clue.

It was much darker green than anything I have ever seen. Like chilli plant green. Smooth leaves. Shrub like. No regular serrations but a hap hazard sort of jagged serration.

Some of the leaves had a twisted "middle finger", twisted along its axis. The stem also looked darker than normal.

After noticing the guy, noticing me, noticing his plants, I decided no harm in asking, and he fessed up and even gave me one!

I took it home and grew it 'til it budded, and we smoked the peppery thing. The buds didn't thicken up and were quite rod like only being about little finger thick at the most.

It only finished under 2 feet tall and from all the homework I have done in the last week, I have not seen any pictures quite like it.

It does resemble the pictures as shown as Mongy weed, but the buds looked less impressive.

And the last thing I came across before finding this forum is reference to a plant found in the Blue Mountains only 8 Years ago.

The stuff that was found growing wild in the 60's in the Hunter Valley is reported to be of Indian origin from the those handed out to farmers to try and make some fiber.

But he Blue Mountains one mentions it being related to something that was brought in by Nomads 50,000 years ago. (There was no expansion or reference to this claim.)
And from what I can gather there is some confusion over the Duck Foot and Mongy or ABC (Australian Bastard Cannabis).

Duck Foot has clear and regular serrations and the leaf looks furry like regular Indica and Sativa but with the prominent 3 prong joined like web duck feet. Large tall plant

Mongy or ABC having very different leaf surface, more smooth, none or some random serrations. Small shrub like plant.

The plant I grew was most like the leaf shown in the 3rd picture however the structure was more well defined, with the sub leaves coming all from one point whereas the photo shown is coming from what looks like 3. And the middle finger on a leaf that large would have a twist. None of the leaves would have been larger than 8 cm long. Buds had very small bracts which did grow white pistils. The trichomes were long with a small bead of clear resin.

Seems there are some very strange variations amongst the Mongy or ABC strain, and I call to attention everyone who has this interest to be keeping your eyes peeled for these weird plants.

Without buds they could be quite hard to recognise, since they don't even smell the same.

But take a look at the variations between the first 4 images (all being called ABC or Mongy), and keep them in mind. If you find a plant that matches, wait till it heads, because smelling the plant before it buds won't help you.

This link talks about the 50000 year Nomad theory

I see no images about this reported find from the Blue Mountains.

...and the link below says it is a confirmed Hoax. Does anyone have any info here?

Just saying it is a Hoax sounds like a sure way to stop a whole bunch of amateur bush walkers getting lost hunting for lost treasure...

have also found a topic from a few years ago on here which took me to a page explaining Mongy weed's source-this is new information to me and lends weight to the idea that there is a weed out there waiting to be found like the old couple did...
