flowering times from turning

having a discussion with a mate of mine and he reckons that. If say you buy some seeds that say have an 8 week flowering cycle, then when you turn the lights to 12/12, you dont count the first 2 weeks, eg until you start to see the pistils forming, so he is saying it is really 10 week flower not the 8 week as stated.

whereas i say the time is indicated from the point of the light being turned there being 8 weeks.

cheers for your input guys

Any flowering peroid that is recommended by the breeder is only a window, which depends on environmental conditions;

The church is stated to be ready in 9 weeks,; and it can be picked then, but that is only a window and it can be left to flower for 9 to say 11 weeks, depending on the environment conditions.

Only if the environment is excellent would one pick at 9 weeks.

take care

john

sorry,

to answer your question knucklehead is right and so are u - the flowering peroid starts from the first day of 12/12,

so the church would be ready, assuming a good environment, after 9 weeks of 12/12.
