Around here words do not count that much but pictures do, so I will leave it to the pictures,

except to saw this wine from Portugal is lovely;

it is beautiful Romeu;

Less tannin than most Australian wines, with a fruitiness that is different, sweeter, more subtle than Australian wines;

i guess it is the climate and soil;

especially soil my friend that stuff that has given us birth, that so many have died for;

To

Dionysos , the twice born god,

God of ecstasy and madness.

The god of wine who taught us how to turn the fruit of the vine into wine,

I raise my glass:

To Friends and the good life,

I raise my glass again;

Join me my friends,

become with me a sailor and cross the vast ocean; the moon shines bright in that town of Amsterdam;

there I shall be an exile who sheds tears, for the lost always shed tears:

there i will find solice in sweet wine and the most fragrant, most delicate buds;

happy sowing, happy growing, happy harvest,

john

"Vinho Regional Estremadura", Estremadura is the name of the region I am from! ;) Good choice, it could have been bought right here around the corner, it feels like closeness dispite the vast ocean between us! The closest demarqued region denomination (DOC) from here is DOC Óbidos (that one you had is from DOC Alenquer). They are very good too! Dont let yourself forget about drinking one from Alentejo! ;) It will blow your mind.

take care, my friend

of course, my friend;

cheers!

to Romeu,

who lead me to this delight,

a red as rubies; delicate on the tongue,

and all so soothing for the soul;

I just finished the last mouthful of the bottle.

thank you for the information;

this wine is not expensive here either; it was $14, about 18 euro.

all the best, my friend;
