  1. If you like sweets, here is an old-fashioned favorite that just cannot be resisted. I shall include the initial steps for infusing the cannabis into the Cannabutter, so if you already know how to do that, you can skip that section. The Cannabutter takes only about 5-to-10 minutes to grind the dried materials but needs 2,5 hours to properly decarboxylate, then 1 hour cooling before the fridge, then 2 to 4 hours chilling in the fridge or freezer before the butter-slab can be separated from the water-bowl. So obviously, the Cannabutter should be made before-hand. What I did here was, I made a batch of Cannabutter for you'all and I started it cooling, all the while making pictures for this presentation. To continue the cooking session for the P-U-D-Cake, I used 125-grams of Cannabutter that I had in the freezer. I like to keep a batch or two of well-sealed Cannabutter in the freezer at all times so that I can quickly cook a Canna-Dish at a moment's notice. The P-U-D-Cake requires about 30-to-45 minutes to prepare, about 30 minutes to cook, about an hour to cool. TOOLS that you will need: Nested pots (or a pot and a glass bowl like my set-up), whatever works to perform the infusion into Cannabutter. A sieve (or for even finer Cannabutter, use cheesecloth and a sieve when pressing the materials, as seen later) Another glass bowl in which to chill the butter. See the bowl that I used at the end of the Cannabutter recipe. Something in which to cook the cake. You can use a 10-inch iron skillet or a bake-form approximately 24x34cm. I used a glass roaster 23x35x11cm. Measuring cups and spoons of various sizes. A sieve or a flour sifter (not absolutely necessary, but makes for a smoother batter) A couple mixing bowls, one large, one small. Electric mixer. THE INGREDIENTS: For the Cannabutter you will need: ~15 grams dried sugar-leaf trimmings or bud (I do not mean just standard green fan-leaves. They contain virtually no THC. "Sugar-leaf" refers to the trichome-laden leaves and leaf-tips that are often trimmed-away when one is manicuring buds prior to curing. Generally, these trimmings have too much carbon and leaf in comparison to the trichomes to be an enjoyable smoke; that's why we trim them away. But they do contain sufficient trichomes to be used for infusions. But just the same as buds, these trimmings need to be allowed to dry and cure somewhat in order to convert the chlorophyl and THC to the desireable compounds before being used here. Obviously, the stronger your selection of materials, the stronger the effects, so you can use top-notch smokeable bud if you wish.) 250-grams butter (unsalted) ~300ml water (used at the end of the 2,5 hours simmering) For the P-U-D-Cake you will need: 4 eggs 1/2 cup butter (In our case, 125-grams Cannabutter) (This butter is for the bottom of the pan where the pineapples are.) 1 cup light brown sugar 1 can sliced pineapple rings (20-oz can has around 10-rings) ~10 maraschino cherries, halved (I used about 20 whole; one cake had maraschino, the other had Amareto cherries) 1 cup sifted flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup white sugar 1 tablespoon butter, melted (or you can set-aside a couple spoonfuls of Cannabutter) (This butter is added to the batter.) 1 teaspoon almond extract (I used about 1/4 cup sliced almonds.) (Optional) The scrapings from the inside of about 1/2 Vanilla Pod, or 2 small packets of vanilla sugar (Optional, but the cake is better with the Vanilla.) (Please don't use artificial flavorings.) In the next post we begin the directions. If you are shocked by the amount of sugar in the above ingredients, you have a right to be. I cooked two P-U-D-Cakes, one with Cannabutter and the full amount of sugar as seen above, and the other with normal butter using only 1/2 the amounts of sugar. Both cakes are wonderful, and I believe for those who do not want so much sugar, the recipe might work as well with even 1/4 the amount of sugar. Just remember that as the sugar decreases, the ganja taste increases. In the non-canna P-U-D-Cake, I used 5 eggs. It made the cake more stiff but still good and moist. I believe it would have been better with only 4 eggs.
  2. There are many different ways to make Cannabutter. And the Interrnet has many videos that show how to make Cannabutter. If you find a Cannabutter video, please post it in here so we can all see the many variations. Here's one that I found. It is simikar to my method, although I use a double-boiler system to prevent overheating the THC during the cooking.   3. It seems that I have always had excellent results with my method of making Cannabutter, freezing it, and then later using it in recipes calling for butter. I guess I was initially lucky for having found a good recipe for making Cannabutter. I use the method of heating the butter, cannabis-blooms and then later, the separation water in a glass bowl that is suspended in a larger pot of boiling water, therefore, my butter is never heated above 100°C during the decarboxylation process. During the baking/cooking processes in which I used my Cannabutter, I try never to go over ~170 or 180°C. (You can view my Cannabutter-making process in another Topic where I showed you my Pineapple Upside-Down Cake: Cannabutter: (~15g cured or dried bud into 250g butter\\\\\\or if using vape-depleted material, use ~30 to 50g into 250g butter, just be prepared for a different taste.) But the reason for this Topic is not to brag about my Cannabutter. Rather, I have found some exciting new information about the process of Decarboxylation that I would like to share with you. We all already know that THC-A (THC-Acid), as it is found in the plant, must be heated by some means in order that it is converted into THC, which is the activated form that causes the effects that we enjoy. Similarly, CBD-A (CBD-Acid) is converted into CBD, which exhibits specific medicinal uses. So far, what you have read above is not new, but what follows is new, at least to me.. Apparently, by controlling closely the temperature and especially the DURATION of the decarboxylation process, you can produce specific grades of Cannabutter containing variously different amounts of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) or CBD (Cannabidiol) or CBN (Cannabinol) or CBE (Cannabielsoin). My intention here is to share the information of an article with you, and I feel it is only fair (and possibly required) that I give thanks and full credit for this short article to the author and publisher of this information: The author is Xavi Petit whose published Instagramm is: @cannabiskitchenclub. "grow! magazine" is produced by Winni Fleckner, and it's published website is: www.grow.de. I found the magazine informative and fun, so check it out if you wish. I was surprised to see this magazine offered in a regular grocery store in Germany. Germany seems more and more accepting of the Cannabis-Culture. It was the LAST one on the magazine rack, so I snapped it up real fast. So, without any further delay, I shall translate the article from German to English for you (with the aid of Google-Translate), please forgive possible errors. [If I add any comments, they will be found in square brackets.] Xavi's Know-How: Decarboxylation For cannabis connoisseurs, this process is simply the be-all and end-all. The result and how the effect ultimately unfolds depends on the quality (and variety) of the cannabis flower - and the way in which it is decarboxylated. This can work with fats and heating or with alcohol - the stomach then takes care of the absorption. But also over heat in the oven [or in the heat produced by burning the material in your doobie or pipe]: With decarboxylation, THC-A (THC acid) and CBD-A (CBD acid) transform into THC and CBD, as the body can process it, and of course with the desired effect. THC-A takes at least 30 minutes at 80 to 125 degrees Celsius to convert to THC. At 155 degrees Celcius, it [THC] starts to burn, producing cannabinol (CBN), which has a strong soothing and pain-relieving effect. Above 185 degrees Celcius, this [CBN] also fizzles out [is destroyed]. CBD-A takes around 60 minutes between 90 and 135 degrees Celsius to become CBD. Ok so I've had my Volcano vaporizer for a couple of years now and really love it for numerous reasons..and I now have one more reason as I've discovered that all of that vaporized weed known as "vape poo" can actually be re-used to make potent, green, (it doesn't turn out brown like the vape poo) cannabutter!! Talk about economical...I mean that stuff was headed for the garbage and it just made really nice potent butter and is getting me nice and baked twice! The pictures I've posted are of me making it, but I can't take credit for the recipe, all credit goes to an actual trained chef, burnout88, and I've provided both his post and the link to it. ALSO not sure why but the pictures all posted in reverse order The pictures you see of the saucepan are the resulting butter being melted gently to pour over the waffles and has nothing to do with making the cannabutter A few things I will add..man I will say this..be prepared for the smell!!! While not unpleasant to myself or other ganja lovers it is VERY strong you will be doing this for 24 hours to extract all of the cannabinoids..as the post says if you live in an apartment it would not be recommended! You may notice in a few pictures there is a big container of ONA odour neutralizer lol. Make sure you add enough water as mentioned..it separates from the butter anyways and adding "too much" will not dilute the butter in anyway. Ensuring there is enough of a volume of water means that you can confidently leave it unattended for long periods of time and it wont burn, but still keep an eye on it as my slow cooker runs a little hot and I had to add more water at the beginning. Even though the concoction looks brown the end result once filtered if done properly will be a nice green colour as there is still a decent amount of cannabinoids in the vaped weed. Unfortunately the lighting and camera do make the final result at times look more brown than it is. It honestly is a nice green colour with only a little light brown colouring on the very surface where it was in contact with the lower water during setting. I used 40 g's of saved already vaped bud - a combination of GHS Northern lights auto, Sweet Mango auto, and Super Critical, and 250 mL of butter to end up with the result you see in the picture..85 g's of butter. So far I've had it 2 mornings in a row on store bought blueberry waffles with syrup and they were delicious and resulted in a nice body and head stone for quite a few hours, still functioning but definitely feeling it nicely, actually I'm functioning even better with less pain and stiffness than usual, I just can't seem to find anything I actually just ate the second set of waffles with a little more butter than yesterdays about an hour ago and I've got this great physical buzz goin on and music is sounding really nice right now..I think I might play some bongos for awhile after posting this Tasting it even on a spoon by itself isn't horrible, it actually tasted good and I would like to try it on popcorn tonight as it is the first thing that came to mind when I melted a little in my mouth lol. Here is the original post and instructions followed by my pictures..take the word of a medical user with a very high tolerance..this recipe works!! http://www.rollitup....est-method.html Alright, so I have seen many posts on here about cooking with vaporized marijuana and have come across many post of people ending up with brown bad tasting butter (well marijuana butter on its own is an acquired taste), I have been using vaporized marijuana from my volcano and a friends for the past three years and believe I’ve come up with the best way that always results in a very potent green butter, and that tastes the same as weed butter I’ve made before. This is also one of the best ways to make weed butter with you shake/trimmings/bunk weed. I've also seen on one post that a vaporizer only burns 50% of the THC, this all depends on how dark you burn the marijuana in the vaporizer, if you burn it to a dark brown you are burning 75%-%90, leaving 25%-10%, so using just one ounce will not result in a potent butter. When I use my volcano I burn it light brown, sometimes dark brown, I would guess then I burn from 60%-80%, and unless you are stop smoking when it still has some green in it will not burn just 50%. Alright now for the steps on making the butter and after I will tell you some ways I've used it before. Materials Needed -Vaporized marijuana (I would use at least 1oz per 1oz of butter, since me and some friends combine our vaporized we use 1lb of vaporized marijuana and a pound of butter, the result of this is a potent butter for heavy smokers, but I would not go at a ratio of less than 1oz of vaporized marijuana per 4oz butter) -Butter Unsalted (Amount depend on amount of Vaporized marijuana) -Water -Crockpot (A crockpot is has a much better ending result, and I would highly recommend getting a crockpot for making any weed butter) -Cheese Cloth -Mesh Strainer (optional) Directions - Make sure crockpot will be large enough to hold you vaporized marijuana, the butter, and enough water to completely cover everything. - Make sure the vaporized marijuana is finely busted up, but not into a powder (if already a powder it will still work) - Add the vaporized marijuana, butter, into crockpot, add enough water to completely cover everything (too much water is better than to little make sure there is enough water) -Stir everything up; try to break up any clumps of marijuana -Turn crockpot on the lowest setting, this will need to run for 24 hours at this setting (i would recommend doing it this way, the reason being is when people end up with brown butter they have burnt it while making it, even when using brown vaporized marijuana i end up with green butter, the crockpot will not burn the butter while heating and is safe to leave on for 24 hours basically unattended, and because it will run for 24 hours you will be sure to get most of the remaining THC leftover). I warn you though the smell will travel through your house, so I do not recommend people in apartments doing this. You also need to stir the mixture every now and then to break up any clumps forming. If you cannot leave it on for 24 hours, you can turn up the heat of the crockpot and do it for 12 hours, but then you will risk not getting all the left over THC and you butter might come out a little brown. Do not put crockpot on high heat, that will burn the butter and it will come out brown. The mixture does not need to boil, boiling will burn butter for sure if not done carful, even with the water. Also when boiling you will lose some of the butter and THC in the steam it lets off, with the low heat of the crockpot when I use a LB of butter my ending result is pretty close to a pound of butter, basically no waste. - Don’t forget to stir the mixture every few hours to break up any clumps - Once the 24 hours is complete, turn off crockpot, you will need to line a large mesh strainer with cheese cloth, if mesh strainer not available, cheese cloth alone will do. - Find a container that will be able to hold the butter and water mixture, and either put the strainer lined with cheese cloth on top, or make a sort of lid on top the container with the cheese cloth, make it loose so it will be able to hold all the vaporized marijuana - Slowly pour the mixture of vaporized marijuana, water, and butter through the cheese cloth, be careful may be hot - Once all the liquid drains through, wrap the cheese cloth around the wet vaporized marijuana, now with your hands squeeze out the remaining liquid into the container, the cheesecloth should catch every bit of vaporized marijuana and you should be left with a green mixture of butter, water, and cream( the cream is a by-product of heating butter) -If there is still marijuana pieces in the liquid you can strain it another time through the cheese cloth. -Once done straining put in the fridge overnight and the butter will harden on top the cream and water. You might have to scrape some the bottom of the butter to get any leftover debris off -Done you have you potent vaporized marijuana butter, if not using I would store in the freezer

Hi guys, ive recently had a good harvest and have quite a bit of fan leaves and as we all know fan leaves are not much use for anything Well turn that frown upside down because there's actually much stoneage to be had from these guys. I first added the butter to a slow cooker and melted... Then add the 200g of leaves (crushed), top up with water and let it simmer for 12hrs... Strain out the plant matter using a cloth or very fine sieve, squeeze the hell out of it to get all the goodness. Place the butter/water mix into the fridge and butter will settle on top of the water. Just pop a few holes in the set butter and pour out the black water. This butter is not as potent as the last batch (bearing in mind I do have a high tolerance at the moment) so I've came up with a butter cake and butter cream thing... I then made butter cookies, we call it shortbread where im from. High in butter ... You'll find the recipes online, they are so simple. Search - buttercake and butter biscuits. Remember to NEVER have the oven above 160*C/Gas mark 3 These biscuits wreck my friends that don't smoke much, the cake destroys anyone that eats a decent slice 350g total cannabutter in the cake and cream. 185g of cannabutter in 10 biscuits
  6. Here i am with my first upload ever. So i hope this goes well... Im going to show a few steps on how to make Cannabis butter "The way I do it" Change it up however you want for stronger or milder results, But keep it fun. STEP 1: ROLL ONE First step as always when cooking in the kitchen. STEP 2: SET UP Here is what i've got. Large Crock pot 4 cups Butter 35 g Bud 60 g dry shake Electric grinder Cheese cloth / fine mesh filter ( i use something called a "reusable produce bag" which i found at the local store they work great) Large container or bowl That joint i just rolled Lighter Note: You can put as much herb as you like, Im using old bud that i dont want to smoke but you can just add a lot more trimmings if you dont have bud to use. No: A coffee filter or paper towel will not work very good. STEP 3: LIGHT IT UP N BUST IT UP Fire up what you've got Start pulverizing your plant matter I find that busting up the herbs will give you the most value and a stronger final product. I try to remove any of the extra large stems that may jam in the grinder STEP 4: SACRIFICE THE BUTTER Fill your crockpot about half way with hot tap water ****IMPORTANT***** Turn on HIGH Chop up your butter into sexy chucks. Now toss those beauties into the water <----Also Important STEP 5: ADD THE SECRET INGREDIENT - The "3 S" Rule Sprinkle Smile Stir STEP 6: KEEP WARM WARNING ONCE YOUR BUTTER IS MELTED Set your crock pot at "KEEP WARM" DO NOT LEAVE ON HIGH! Trust me you dont need too , and you dont want to ruin all of this "high fiber medicine~" STEP 7: WAIT A LONG TIME This is where patience payes off. I let this mess dwell for at least 12 hours , but its your choice maybe you would like to go longer. Keep an eye on your soup , making sure the water level doesnt drop much . Top it up as required with hot water. TO BE CONTINUED:
