Dual spectrum or metal halide

Growing trees of green

Hi, good question to which i could not answer for sure.

However my views are this, yes dual spectrum give more

lumens per watt than metal halide. Also more of the red

spectrum which promotes stem growth over leaf growth.

The metal halide in the blue spectrum promotes leaf growth

keeping internodes tighter.

hope this helps you in your decision

Peace

If you continue with LED I'd say use MH for the later VEG. Before they reach a decent height and size NEON is best - Nothing beats Metal Halide for the final weeks of VEG . But the difference to a DUALHPS  is not that large.

I can only repeat what Franco ones told me in private.
"dual specs is the way to go"
But as always, grow and do compare tests. I do have my views about it such as it is easier to control length/stretch(and so on)
The sun produce all kinds of spec so why not mimic that in a grow room.

In the end there is so many ways of growing and it is up to you to see what fits your needs.
