Here i am with my first upload ever. So i hope this goes well...

Im going to show a few steps on how to make Cannabis butter "The way I do it"

Change it up however you want for stronger or milder results, But keep it fun.

STEP 1: ROLL ONE

First step as always when cooking in the kitchen.

STEP 2: SET UP

Here is what i've got.

Step 2

  1. Large Crock pot
  2. 4 cups Butter
  3. 35 g Bud
  4. 60 g dry shake
  5. Electric grinder
  6. Cheese cloth / fine mesh filter ( i use something called a "reusable produce bag" which i found at the local store they work great)
  7. Large container or bowl
  8. That joint i just rolled
  9. Lighter

Note: You can put as much herb as you like, Im using old bud that i dont want to smoke but you can just add a lot more trimmings if you dont have bud to use.

No: A coffee filter or paper towel will not work very good.

STEP 3: LIGHT IT UP N BUST IT UP

  1. Fire up what you've got
  2. Start pulverizing your plant matter

Step 3

I find that busting up the herbs will give you the most value and a stronger final product. I try to remove any of the extra large stems that may jam in the grinder

STEP 4: SACRIFICE THE BUTTER

  1. Fill your crockpot about half way with hot tap water ****IMPORTANT*****
  2. Turn on HIGH
  3. Chop up your butter into sexy chucks.
  4. Now toss those beauties into the water <----Also Important

Step 5

STEP 5: ADD THE SECRET INGREDIENT - The "3 S" Rule

  1. Sprinkle
  2. Smile
  3. Stir

Step 6

STEP 6: KEEP WARM

WARNING ONCE YOUR BUTTER IS MELTED Set your crock pot at "KEEP WARM"

DO NOT LEAVE ON HIGH!

Trust me you dont need too , and you dont want to ruin all of this "high fiber medicine~"

Step 7

STEP 7: WAIT A LONG TIME

This is where patience payes off.

I let this mess dwell for at least 12 hours , but its your choice maybe you would like to go longer.

Keep an eye on your soup , making sure the water level doesnt drop much . Top it up as required with hot water.

Thanks. I made some last year. Did a bit of research on it and if I can find the chicks video link I will post. She claimed to first freeze your bud and vegative matter so help preserve the trichomes? Any how it was pretty good but takes long time. I liked the flavor of the butter and would add it to dishes I was cooking that called for butter.

Time to get Messy

Now that some time has passed and your house smells like trouble its time to filter out some plant particles .

Here are my filter bags that i hope to find again some day. (my last two)

STEP 1: SET UP TO FILTER

  • Find a large container , it must hold all of the contents of crock pot
  • I should have used a larger container

  • You may need someones help to pour the contents through your filter
  • PLEASE BE CAREFULL! that stuff is hot

STEP 2: Dump it in

  • You might want gloves
  • You might want soft , smooth cannabis smelling hands for the day
  • Choose now

Pour your soup throught the filter . It looks like something you could put on toast

Step 3: Lift , Drip and Squeeze

  • Lift your filter up and let it drip for a few minutes

HOT HOT HOT

  • Squeeze like you are milking a cow until dry
  • Be carefull this part might melt your hands
  • Make sure to squeeze as much out as possible the good stuff is in there.

Step 4: Wait a long time again

Now that im done its time to get this in the fridge. The budder is going to seperate from the water and float on top . in about 24 hours this will be completed. I have some room in this empty beer fridge that has seen some better days.

Yes please give us a good ending! Im dying to find out. And i did not know you have to use water with the butter? I always though it was butter and weed alone?

As the video says , the water helps to clean everything up nice, More importantly Water can only get to 100C in temp so it acts as a "over heat " prevention.

If you just use butter you may run the risk of cooking all the thc . it will vaporize at 180? Keep the heat down and just simmer for the day , almost dont even have to check on it.

I have always used water, its more consistent for me!

Its hard to put " too much shake" , you can always cut with regular butter if you find its too strong. This is something everyone will have to experament with , start with 2oz of shake and 2 cups of butter maybe. go up from there.

Try to remember what you use. it will help you perfect it the next time around.
