Urkle

Purple Urkle

strains-78.jpg

  • Classification: Indica
  • Growing Environment: Indoor/Outdoor
  • Gardening Skills: Moderate
  • Vegetation: Very slow
  • Flowering time: 8 weeks
  • Medicinal Uses: Pain relief, insomnia, nausea, anxiety, depression, migrains and many more symptoms.

Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Skunky scent with a grapey almost thick taste reminiscent of GDP. Fruity on exhale.

Purple Urkle comes from Mendo Purps pheno and is native to the notorious green triangle in northern California. It is characterized by unusually long orange hairs covering small, dense, purple nugs when properly grown and harvested. The color is a purple much like that found on quality strains of Lavender, although despite common misconception, the two are not related.

The plant thrives best when grown indoors, but seems to do just fine outdoors as well. Purple Urkle is notoriously slow to grow, being known to take as long as 5 months to finish. It is not a particularly high yielder either, usually producing no more than 1/2 a pound when grown indoors. This strain is physically typical of an indica strain, being short, thick and bushy. It is a clone-only strain exclusive to California dispensaries, so the only way you will be adding this hard-hitting strain to your garden is to find some good-looking clones at your local club.

This Indica strain is not for the novice patient, as many smokers have reported the effects of Purple Urkle being rather intense or even overwhelming. It is a great medicine for nighttime use or for chronic pain. This strain gives off an unmistakable skunky aroma with subtle hints of fruit. This is a favorite among budtenders and other experienced patients.

Well about the seeds from my buddy, all his 16 greenhouse seeds popped.

We have been a little unsure to buy at a re-seller but all good so far. When the urkles are good too i will recomend pick n mix.

edit.... overwhelming effects thats what im looking for in an indica lol.... hard hitters for the win...

colors appear much more natural that way...

I really begin comparing natural grow to scrog now. Fantastic how even this topped right side scrog turns out.

Genetics and style on the left is slightly different but its a pleasure so far.

Yes Dust your completely right.

And shame on me i know this bud i ignored it a bit, good you remind me.

This cloning was a side project and first i didnt want to tell much about...but now that they are alive i will surely let the same love go into that.

Next pics will show how this should be done. No problem about clear pots to observe clones but they need a cover.

i've checked a lttle nevilles haze grow on internet, they do look more sativas most of the time, but it seems i've laso seen a more hybrid phenotype in some cases, which could be the one you got, will see when lowering will be really induced and buds more developped ;)

But everything looks good around here as last time ;)

Have a good grow

thx guys,

to budmeister: I am using this coco/perlite in a 70/30 mix approx.

I water them every second day with 1-1,5 liters in this 11l pots. But it can happen that i wait 4 instead of 2 days to make sure everything gets used and the medium

is able to bring the oxygen to the roots. fter every flush i let them dry out quite far, as GHS recomends in the groe reviews.

left side

You see the difference between fim and tie...on the left

...and a full top at a certain time on the right.

Both methods look way better than a haze in natural grow.

yes Dust, some of them are gone by now that i let them dry out one day more than usual.

They become weak and i see that its time to leave my plant. Helpin her with that is no problem in my experience.

Think i manage to read this very well, sometimes i slightly try and "plop" off it is.

Anyway. I did a flush on the left side.

My frames turned out to be just sweet for that job. I removed the tray under the pot so that the pot is free in the middle.

A plastic bag, the tray in that to keep it aliitle bit in form.

It was very nice to do and the result was even better.

I put in EC 1 and PH 6

I got out EC 1.2 and PH 6

after that i decided there is no need to flush the right side, coco has almost day 1 quality and i will keep feeding them in the regular shedule, test the drain on them in 1-2 weeks.

After the flush i let the trays underneath a bit to remain perfect feed of oxygen to the roots

All in all another win for the frame setup, and for coco !
