When I checked the plants on Monday morning the dirt in their root pouches was dry and they all felt nice and light.

So I got everything I needed and started to harvest the plants starting with the one with the yellowing fan leaves and then I managed to harvest the smallest plant by lunch time.

So I had some cheese on toast a bag of crisps  and 2 Kit Kat bars which I shared with the dog, then I had a brew and a spliff and then I continued harvesting the other two plants and I had them all trimmed and hung up by 5pm.

Here are some images I took during the harvest.

As soon as I started to harvest the third plant I put the Jack Herer and Passion #1 seedlings into the tent under the LED, then when I moved the fourth plant ut of the tent I adjusted the LED and switched off the bloom lights so only the grow lights are on for the seedlings in veg.

As I was trimming the buds on the last plant suddenly there was a weird squealing sound from the grow tent which I recognised straight away, the little 6 inch fan had just died, fortunately having no fan over night wont harm the seedlings at all.

So this afternoon I jumped on the jolly joe (bus) and went to a local grow shop and got a new 6 inch fan, some Ona odour neutralizer and a new pack of 24 Root It sponge plugs.

A quick tip due to the way Ona works place it outside the room where the smell is coming from and any smell that leaks out will be neutralized, otherwise if you put it in the room it will mash up the smell of your buds.

The new 6 inch fan from RAM now come with two types of fixings one is the usual clamp and the other is to hang the fan off the poles in the tent, which is definitely a much tidier set up than with the clamp.

I have the dehumidifier running outside the tent to help the bud to dry out, I will update again once the bud is dry with a smoke report.

Happy growing...  :good::pleasantry:

Looks like a pretty  good harvest friend @gasmeter! Your buds are dense, big and beautiful under led. It is great to compar with the CMH grow and HPS. Pretty similar in size but the structure of the flower are totally different.

What will you make with your trim leaf bro?

Thanks for the kind words @R.G.S @g22 and @OG.Naj

Good question @OG.Naj the trim is almost dry now there only looks to be maybe a quarter ounce, I will put it with the trim from the last run of which there was just under an ounce.

I have used some in a spliff with some bud a couple of times, but I will probably use it to make Canna butter and make brownies with it.

A quick progress update, on Thursday I noticed that the trim was as dry as it is going to get, I thought that there was only about 7g of trim, anyway when I weighed it there was actually 13.8g which was a nice surprise.

So I put it with the trim from the 3rd Mega contest plants and there is 29.8g in total.

The buds are nice and hard and quite dry I have switched off the dehumidifier so they dry slower, I will leave the bud on the stalk until Monday then it will have been hanging drying for 7 days, I will then cut the bud off the stalk and weight it and then pop it into a brown paper bag for another week.

Happy growing... :pleasantry:

All of the bud from the Sweet Valley Kush has been hanging on the stalk drying for a week, so this morning I cut the bud off the stalks to separate the ting from the wood.

Due to the way I harvested and hung the plants I could work through them plant by plant starting with the tallest plant which was the last to be harvested then the second tallest and the smallest then the 3rd tallest.

All of the bud has dried nicely so I moved the mineral Sweet Valley Kush buds from SVK 1 and 2 from the 3rd Mega Contest into a single kilner jar and I did the same with the bio buds to free up 2 kilner jars.

All of the buds from all 4 Sweet Valley Kush plants filled the kilner jars and the bio and mineral buds half fill the jars they are in and they are now about 3 months old it was cut on the 16th and 17th of September.

So I have some nice bud to smoke while these fresh Sweet Valley Kush buds cure, I will pop the jars every day and keep an eye n them they may need to go into a brown paper bag once the moisture in them evens out in the enclosed enviroment in the kilner jars, we will see.

Here are some images I took as I trimmed the bud off the stalks.

After a week drying I can say the aroma from the bud is herbal and earthy with a subtle sour note and when the bud is smoked the taste is very similar to how it smells.

The vibe is great a good body stone with a stong high that lasts for hours.

Sweet Valley Kush is a great strain to grow and smoke its definitely another winner from Green House Seed Company.

I can now safely mark this grow journal as completed, happy smoking...  :pleasantry:
