Day 24:

Hey Guys & Girls, hope you all had good weekend's.

Had to go in loft today first thing as not been up there since Friday and somehow I managed to push down some of the segments on the water pump timer so it was coming on at night from about 11:30pm till around 3am thankfully it wasn't noticed apart from by me.

Plants are still going very well although I have noticed lots of condensation on the walls and ceiling of my tent, which you can see in the pics. It's a bit dangerous if the electrics get wet so gave it all a good wipe dry and change position of air circulating fan, which will hopefully get rid of problem and at very least keep electrics dry, fan is pointing at four gang plug socket.

Raise light about 3" so is more or less as high as it can go in this 1meter tent might be able to squeeze another inch out of it but would have to pretty much fix to ceiling pole directly. I'm going to start bending them outwards, I want four plants going out to corner poles and leave one in centre to grow normally, I am planning on FIMing her and maybe the others to keep them short but with lots of main stems.

Anyway, here's the pics, have a good week all.

Day 28:

Hey Guys & Girls, hope you had a good week.

Gave the OG a fresh lot of nutes today, tested pH and EC before emptying reservoir pH 7.8 EC 0.85 fresh nutes at pH 6.4 EC 0.95

I also attempted to FIM four of them will find out next week whether I managed to FIM properly or just topped them, they were each about 15cms tall, the fifth one is a few days younger so left it alone for now !

Also found an unwelcome visitor, a snail had a chomp on one of the plants as you can see, not quite sure how a snail gets into my tent in the loft but it has, plus a couple of pics of roots coming out bottom of airpots.

Here's the pics

Hey Tokage, I'm using HESI Hydro Grow, HESI Root Complex, HESI Powerzyme, HESI Super Vit, this is the first grow where I have used everything in the range.

http://hesi.nl/english/producten.htm

No, I do not adjust pH everyday just when refreshing nutes each week but I will keep more of an eye on it and check daily or every other day seeing as last two lots have changed quite a bit.

They're still doing great though despite the massive swings in pH.

All the best Tokage

Day 35:

Hey Guys & Girls, I hope all is well in you world, time for another little update from me.

All seems fine with the OG Kush in the loft, bit of a issue with condensation on tent walls and ceiling but not actually causing any problems with plants.

Gave them a nutes change today measured pH & EC before emptying and they were pH 6.6 & EC 0.75 so I knocked the pH down to 5.8 and the EC raised to 1.02

I've still got them on 24/7 light cycle but am going to have to put them to flower by end of next week or they will just get too big for the loft tent and they Criticals I have growing in main tent aren't ready so my plan to finish them and swap hasn't worked out, Criticals are taking longer than expected to finish.

Here's the pics taken today, I've thrown in a few of the Critical buds for your pleasure, lol

Day 1 Flowering (Day 46 overall)

Hi Guys & Girls, hope you enjoyed your weekend's.

Took the OG out of loft tent last Friday, as there was way too much moisture condensation on the tent ceilings and walls dripping down, could have dripped on electrics but luckily didn't, the plants were also right up to light, which I can't move any higher it is already cable tied to the top pole!

It took me 2.5 hrs in total as I had to get the Criticals out, clean tent, reservoir etc, then move down OG, up and down loft ladder I don't know how many times but enough to make my legs ache, lol.

Stupidly, I set the pH of reservoir to .5.6 before checking what the old lot of nutes were at, which were at 6.5 so was expecting a little bit of shock. I also managed to snap the top of one that I was hoping would survive but sadly she hasn't.

I left lights on 24/7 to try to save her but I think with the swap of Veg to Flower nutes, she didn't have enough of what she needed to recover, I only set the lights to 12/12 yesterday, hence today being the first full day of flowering cycle.

I have some burnt golden fan leaves so will have to keep an eye on them and maybe give flush if it continues, it may have been because they had flower nutes but were on 24/7, up taking too much nutes of wrong sort, who knows???

Will take some pictures later and post, have a good week people.

PS: Going to start some autos off this week, I have 7 x Autobomb and 5 x Big Bang Auto, I'll start them off and put in loft tent in soil on 20/4 for about 3/4 weeks and then put outside in new greenhouse set up. I haven't done greenhouse yet, it's sitting in bits up side of house so will have to get it done and ready.

thanks for the news man girls are growing with a nice bushy structure yet! I had missed the fact you were in 24/7, i don't know if it's the cause of your problem, perhaps it could caue they need a little sleep normally to complete the photosynthesis process i thiiink, so who knows could be the cause, or not lol ;)

anyway thanks for the news keep them coming hope you'll solve that strange whitening yellowing going on.. i think i've seen it before but don't remember yet..if i do i'll pass by ^^

Have a good grow ;)

Day 5 Flowering:

Hey Guys & Girls, hope you had a good week, mine's been shit, had to loads of accounts for tax man boooooooooohhhhhhh !!!!!!

Anyway that aside, I decided to replace nutes with fresh mix today as it's been one whole week since I put them on flowering nutes HESI Bloom with everything in the range Power Zyme and Super Vit.

This time I checked the pH & EC before emptying, pH 5.8 & EC 1.50, gave them HESI Bloom 100ml, Power Zyme 40ml, Super Vit 4 drops in 20 liters of water and set it at exactly that again.

Took off a few of the big fan leaves for a bit more light, they are HUGE bigger than my hands by a long way.

Here's the pics.

Day 12 Flowering

Hey Guys & Girls, I hope you've had a great week, time for another update on the old OG Kush.

Today was nutes change day so I measured EC & PH in reservoir before emptying and refilling, EC 1.57 & PH 5.7, so I set the fresh nutes at EC 1.6 & PH 5.8 using HESI nutes as follows:

HESI Bloom 50ml per 10 liters

HESI Power Zyme 20ml per 10 Liters

HESI Super Vit 1 drop per 4.5 liters, I gave mine 2 drops per 10 liters and I fill my reservoir up with 20 liters total.

Took off some of the lower big fan leaves as they were getting no real light to them so couldn't have been contributing much light converting energy. They are HUGE as you can see from pictures, one with my hand as comparison and another with a standard refillable lighter. Never had leaves so fat or big on such small plants.

Lots of nice growing tips that will end up as buds around 15 that should end up as decent colas, see pics.

Have a great weekend my friends and thanks for stopping by my journal.

Peace y'ole

Day 19:

Hi Guys & Girls, I hope you've all had a good week, it's time for the weekly update.

Checked nutes before emptying EC 1.9 & pH 5.7 so set the fresh nutes at EC 1.65 & pH 5.8, fed them as per HESI instructions.

Bloom 50ml per 10 liters

Powerzyme 20ml per 10 liters

PK 13/14 2.5ml per 10 liters

Supervit Drops 1 per 4.5 liters, gave mine 2 drops in 10 Liters and my reservoir is filled with 20 liters in total.

All are looking healthy, lush and green, pistils popping out all over definitely the quickest strain I've grown to show so many pistils, normally I'm waiting 14-21 days to see the first pairs of little white hairs.

Am running out of room height wise though so will probably have to start bending in a week or so or put a screen in tent.

Here's the pics

Breaking News:

Literally, breaking news !!!!

I was taking off the Bendz and snapped one of the two top stems on my middle plant, which was the best. Just snapped it clean off so have had mild panic here this morning trying to fix her back on. I tried to splint her with cocktail sticks, wire but couldn't get it to stay in place properly.

Then I thought of sticking a needle through the top and bottom parts to hold together but then thought maybe the metal needle wouldn't do her any good.

I settled on a clothes peg, tried one but was too big and the weight made it fall off anyway, so went down to a smaller one and it seems to be holding in place, whether that stem will be able to recover I don't know yet, update as and when I have further news.

That's the end of this breaking news.

Try this aswell. Copied and pasted from "http://www.marijuanagrowing.eu" link below. Good luck , never a nice thing to happen

Its happened to every grower at one time or another, you're working away taking care of your plants when all of a sudden you find a busted branch. What do you do? Chop it off, leave it alone and let it continue growing or try and restore it to its former glory? If you want to fix something like this then here is a trick I use to help a plant heal broken or bent stems. It's simple and 100% effective.

First find yourself some solid copper wire or something similar, twist the wire into a loose spiral shape and wind it careful around the damaged area, like in the image below. Carefully tighten the spiral around the stem just enough to support it. Because you're using a spiral shape, the copper wire will expand as the stem gets thicker without accidentally ring barking your plant.

Repair complete! After 2 weeks the damaged area will be strong enough to support itself and you can remove the cooper wire or leave it in place till harvest time comes around.
